Bears trade for Khalil Mack

Yeah they have to hit on this draft but even then you’re waiting at least 3 yrs before they really make an impact maybe 1 of those picks might be a instant impact player. But at the same time all those players contracts are going to be coming up so you get what 1 good year then have to pay them a ton of money or let them walk. Personally I would have kept Mack and got rid of Carr.

The top defensive teams right now...does it matter?

I support rules that promote player safety. I think we all do. But to ignore blatant holding in order to increase scoring doesn’t promote safety. It hobbles stellar D players and changes game outcomes. Pisses me off, tbh.

yeah seems like I only see a holding call on run plays hardly ever see one on a pass play. its like they are really trying to increase scoring by ignoring holding on pass plays.

Defense played ok?

I

I totally agree! No sugar coating this, blaming penalities, etc.
There's no excuse we're getting run on like this with our line! One of the guys on primetime, believe it was Sharpe, said that with Donald and Suh both flying around offensive linemen going for sacks it's opening creases?! Sounds like this could be part problem!
All I know we're done for come playoffs if we don't get this figured out!
Also, we play this team twice a year and we don't know you have to keep a spy on Wilson?!
Maybe Wade needs to ck out some of Fishers defensive strategy against the Hawks?!
Off topic- come on guys why are we giving balls to Mayweather instead of kids or how about some deserving Vets?!
Yeah that bummed me out a bit. A woman beater getting a ball handed to him by a rams player.

Some thoughts from today

Agree with Higbee. Thought it was his best and most complete game of his career so far. Everett made 2 huge catches and looked good doing it. Hopeful that it's all starting to click for him and he can showcase his ability. The D was sloppy all day with penalties. No excuses for those really. They need to refocus and forget all the after the whistle BS. Do your job and move on.
Bummed about Kupp going down with the ACL. He's going to be hard to replace. I think it's going to be a trio of Reynolds, Higbee and Everett trying to pick up the slack in the offense. As long as Cooks and Woods are healthy they should be alright though. Might even see a sprinkle of Hodge now.

The Rams for their handling of the last five days. Their Thousand Oaks, Calif., facility is located just five miles from Borderline Bar and Grill, where 12 people were shot and killed last Wednesday, and is in close proximity to the wildfires that are wreaking havoc on Southern California.

After they outpunched the Seahawks on Sunday, coach Sean McVay gave operations staffers Sophie Luoto, Kristen Lee, Kate Cost and Bruce Warwick game balls for their work, and it was deserved. But there are plenty of others who deserve credit.

COO Kevin Demoff empowered those in the organization with resources to make sure everyone was OK. McVay called off Friday’s practice, arranged for players to stay that at the hotel the team uses for the night before home games, and moved Saturday’s practice to USC. Dozens of others have helped one another within the building, as 75 to 80 staffers, players and coaches were evacuated from their homes.

And by now, I’m sure you’ve heard of the bigger projects. Shoutout to Andrew Whitworth for giving his game check to the shooting victims’ families, and also the team for organizing auctions for game-worn jerseys from Sunday—the last bids I saw for the Todd Gurley and Jared Goff ones topped $3,000—with the money going to wildfire relief.

You’d like to think we’d all react this way in a similar situation. Good on the Rams for stepping up.

The investment in the Rams defensive line came to life in the fourth quarter against Seattle, in a similar way to how Brandon Graham’s strip-sack stole the show in Super Bowl LII. First, with 10:38 left and the Seahawks down five at the Rams 8, and facing third-and-5, defensive tackles Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh came off their blocks and basically raced one another to Russell Wilson.

The result? Three points instead of 7. And then on Seattle’s next possession, the Seahawks sealed up the middle, which left Dante Fowler one-on-one on left tackle Duane Brown. He beat Brown around the corner and slapped the ball out of Wilson’s hand to set up a touchdown that served as the de facto clincher.

The Rams, as we saw last week, aren’t dominant on defense. What they have done, though, is stock up on players capable of making a game-changing play. And as Graham showed us, that can make a huge difference.

What Seahawks Fans Are Saying(Part 2)

Lol, was thinking this the entire game yesterday. Seahawks will bring their best game against us every year cause we're the team to beat and may succeed on occasion. But it'll be the highlight of their season while we are in the playoffs. .
Ya, the hags bring it hard against us, and still lose..so that is awesome. Seattle could win 10-11 next year with their neadrathal offense (sp?)....they will have a top 5 D even with 4th rounders playing. Pete knows defense. Their offense can never be traditional pocket-style passing with a 510" QB....everyone knows that in the league--that is why Pete doesn't get a modern OC

Aaron Donald Broke DMarco Farr's Single Season Sack Record

Higbee has a mic'd up video from a prior game where he gets hit late or out of bounds and he tells the cornerback or safety on the other team who hit him "I owe you one". Then towards the end of the game, he delivers a crushing blow on the guy away from the play, and tells him "I owed you one" and the guys says "I know" and they were cool.
I think this team takes extreme pride in pay back for cheap shots. This incident sends a message to the entire league that I will hunt you down and get even, during the post game if I have to, so just don't do it. We don't condone it, but Donald felt so disrespected about it, that it had to be done.

Congrats on another huge win!

Seattle is a dangerous team. They've lost four of five final possession type games, but they're tough and physical and very close to being a playoff level team. This is a very big game for both them and Green Bay, can't wait to watch it tbh and with both teams fighting for that low wildcard seeding I have to think it's every bit as physical and nasty as today's game was.
