Mike Evans dropped a TD. Different game without the refs in the pocket eh?
ThisBest "highlight QB" in the league.![]()
If the offense begins to roll the game could be over early. If the defense plays as well as they did against the Hawks, the game won't be close. Why the Bengals are favored makes no sense. They have a gimpy QB and Stafford is 100%. Their defense struggled with Kupp and now the Rams have Puka and Atwell. The Ram OL is the best it's been in years.
IMO the Seahawks are probably a better team than the Bengals right now. They've struggle to get pressure with their DL and they aren't a big blitzing team. They try to buy time with their secondary which the first two weeks has struggled. Their LBs are covering gaps to contain the run particularly on early downs. If the Rams pass on first down and get into second and short or medium it's going to stress that defense. It's designed to stuff early down runs and have good secondary play to stop second and third down passing.
The Rams offense we have seen this year will be a problem for them. This OL should be able to stone their pass rush. Stafford should have time to cook. That's why I don't expect a close game. The only way it's close is if the Rams self destruct with turnovers and penalties. If the Rams play a clean game they win.
If they roll out Browning the key is simply don't make things easy for him. Don't let Browning get into a rhythm. When he's good he's good, so the ideal would be to keep him uncomfortable the entire game. From what I'm hearing it sounds like they will start Browning and not risk their franchise QB getting run over by Aaron. Even if they go 0-3 they can come back from the brink with a healthy Burrows and contend for a wildcard. If Burrows gets hurt worse he could be gone for most of the season. Taylor would be foolish to gamble his season with a gimply QB against an OL that had problems against Donald and doesn't seem improved this year.
The Rams simply need to come out and play their offense, and the defense needs to play aggressively. Do that and I see this game as a Ram win.
"It ain't easy gettin past Hopkins on that depth chart."And they've got a 6'6" TE with 38" vertical jumping ability and great hands in Davis Allen who has hardly even seen the field yet. He's a redzone weapon just waiting to be used.
So on the flip side, the PF on Greenlaw against Nakua looked questionable at best. It helped the Rams get their first TD. They can get Greenlaw doing something extracurricular every series if they called that tightly. Rams got lucky on that one.
Refs bailed them out more than once.Still surprised the refs and the league keep letting Trent get away with his bullshit.
Also saw a great name for Purdy
Brock Pennington, he's seeming to be another smart slightly mobile qb with a weak ass arm.
What's wrong with scoring a FG to make the game a one score difference? Isn't one the tie breakers in the playoffs, the point differential or something?
Everything you said I totally agree with 12 personnel can help in the pass game. Watch SF they block with 7 guys sometimes.A few snaps for Zack Evans to spell Williams. Just start with 5-6 snaps or so to see what the kid’s got.
More 12 sets. This could really help get our running game going, plus I think Hopkins or Allen could be weapons that really stress opposing D’s, always a good thing.
More running plays called. Stafford throwing 55 times per game is unsustainable.
Sit Jefferson and give his snaps in 11 sets to Robinson/Skow/ Trammel until one of them breaks out.
A lot less Kendrick and a helluva lot more Tomlinson. This should be a no brainer for Morris after 2 games. C’mon…
Kyren Williams’ return snaps should be over immediately. Period.
Snead should be exploring every option to bring in an edge player that is more effective than Hoecht. Then return Hoecht to that DL for more depth.
Thoughts?
Stafford rarely stares anyone down, even Kupp. He is in fact usually playing eye games with the DBs.I think McVay should intentionally scheme some other guys open however he needs to. Stafford is starting to stare him down.
But only 3 teams in 70 years with that stat. I guess it is how you choose to look at it.2/3 teams with that stat have made the superbowl. That's very small. The sample size is three, years do not matter.
