As far as I know, it has happened. I remember the Red Sox/Cardinals world series a few years back when the Cards accused Red Sox pitchers of using pine tar. I think it would be rubbed on the underside of the peak of the cap, the pitcher would then touch that when adjusting his cap or when "tipping" it to confirm he'd received the signal from the catcher and then rub it on the ball while its in his glove, pre-pitch.

There must be other, more prominent examples in baseball. This is just one I remember having observed the sport from a distance.

I expect ball tampering would come below corked bats and steroids when it comes to cheating in baseball.

I had Stranger Things on my list for a long time. I finally watched it, and I'm glad that I did. It was a little strange, kind of horror/fantasy/sci-fi type of show. I am not a horror fan. I never watch that genre. This show was well written well cast, and well made. I had difficulty stopping myself, from watching it all in one day.

Bummer. Well I at least tried to type that with a straight face. The midgets rotation has like an ERA of 5.5 - I love it. And sorry but I'm not going to feel bad for a pitcher getting hit by a comebacker. I would be bummed if it was a Dodger pitcher but also wouldn't expect sympathy from a midget fan. And if it puts the midgets in a hole to start the season, I'm good with that. Go BLUE!!!

I think we have enough questionable character guys for one roster. Especially if we add Suh.

I think their defensive drop will be the biggest factor.

As good as Wilson is, I think his limitations will finally show themselves fully. He is a winner, and should never be written off, but they are definitely in rebuild mode.

Nah. The biggest thing we can come out of this Draft with is depth.

Always interesting to catch up on an older thread. Here it was page 3. Things have settle down and Watkins was give a mega deal that the Rams couldn't and wouldn't math. Oh well.

I'm not sure why the Rams could not get a long term deal with Joyner done.


I don't Joyner will go any lower and he'll probably want more. Just my half-thought-through quick guess. This looks good for both sides. It's a little steep (high cost) for the Rams but, worth it he he stays healthy. The franchise tag is trouble for the Rams.

Junior Galette has been mentioned as a lesser cost edge rusher which would be a good sign. Unfortunately, there isn't much remaining in free agency. They haven't been mentioned with NT Johnathan Hankins so I don't think they are interested. Another lesser free agent or two signing and the draft. The Rams always surprise us of late. Could be a veteran that is cut.
