Longest-tenured Ram Rodger Saffold on upcoming free agency

Wasn't too long ago people weren't sold on Havenstein. There is always risk in growing replacements but it is a required thing to sustain winning.

This draft has a lot of interior OL depth. So I am confident the Rams will bring in a strong depth option who gives them the flexibility to spell Whit if they need to by sliding Boom over.

LT is really the key here. I know they can get interior types well into every draft. If Boom can handle LT everything will be fine.

Damn straight. The rams have a plan. Trust the process.

Jrry32's Pre-Combine Mock Draft

Can't wait for the next round of mocks from @jrry32 and @Memento

We signed Fowler and Weddle and doesn't seem Groy or Poe are cap casualties or jumping onto the market.

Think that's gonna shake things up as much as anything.

Well that and the Cards outright saying that Kyler Murray is their pick at #1 which creates a cascade effect from there.
Absolutely. I need more mock drafts. But not the crappy ones from news sites. The good ones from people that know what they're talking about (like all the people that come here).

Justin Houston released from Chiefs after failing to trade him

Last year he was better than Joyner. He will be cheaper than Joyner and won’t count against the rams comp pick formula.

PFF has him rated as the 18th best safety overall. I personally think his leadership will be huge for us.

he was also playing with some young DBs which put him in some tough spots last year and he still balled out.

With a healthy Talib and Peters and JJIII, Weddle is in a MUCH better secondary setup. Just like his transition from SD to Baltimore.

Big win for Mad Mike & the Fleet

Hah! I well remember Martzy saying that about some clown named J.T. O'Sullivan when he was OC of the Whiners. I still can't believe he said something as ignorant as that after coaching a future Hall of Famer like Kurt Warner.
Oh well Mikey was frequently as careless with his words as he was in his "shoot, we'll fix that" coaching style.

I think Mike's ego was his downfall. He knew he was good and by God everyone else needed to acknowledge it. Still loved the dude though, and am thankful for the time he was with us. (y)

NFC Special Teams money

I notice the kicker salaries when I visit the cap sites. You want the best you have to pay them. Look at all the teams last year searching for FG kickers. Missing easy FGs really hurts the momentum of the team and making a long one raises the momentum. JZ should get a new deal soon as this is his last year on his current contract. His injuries have to be a bit concerning. Rams should have a feel for his current health.

Worth every penny.

Jake McQuaide signed a 3 year, $3,525,000 contract with the Los Angeles Rams, including $385,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $1,175,000.

Each offseason I become even more impressed with S&M...

Why do I feel like that's a stab at Fish. :D
Honestly, I’ve been surprised by how FEW times there have been indirect stabs at Fish over the last couple years.

Snead/Fisher led to mediocrity and dysfunction, while Snead/McVay has been a dream team.

Given that, it’s impressive how they’ve been able to maintain respectfulness toward the previous regime. The players, too, have been careful and diplomatic when discussing the Fish years.
