That's what I'm thinking too.
Here's how I see it,
Signed a 2 year deal, no out to the NFL.
Cant get PT in Hamilton where he has best chance to shine
Goes to Alouettes and stinks up the joint
AAF starts play and its pretty entertaining
He tries to go around the system and negotiate with a team, the CFL finds out and kicks him out
I just hope its not a relapse of any kind, I don't wish that on anyone

Meh, once a few of them leave and fail miserably (ala BB's assistants), people will realize that the true genius comes from McBae and stop hiring these guys. I think BOB is the only Belichick disciple that panned out.....

I love the trades. Houston would be a great fit for us. If I had to get picky (and i would have to try real hard), my concern would be at CB. Peters went missing mid season but performed well in the post season. With an aging Talib and a CB in Shields who hasn't reached previous high levels of play to suggest that he can start, Layne, who I like, might be pressed into starting earlier than anticipated in his NFL career. That said, picking up Simmons, Harry and Cajuste for the loss of our 1st and Peters (and a 4th next year), just makes too much sense not to jump at it.

Of course. My comments were to those who seemingly expected Obo to be an impact player right away. The Rams didn't act like they expected that in the draft. I have nothing against Obo - I hope he succeeds eventually. But it's rare that late picks like that become impact players right away, if they ever do. If they've fallen that far - especially at an in demand position like edge rusher - it's usually because there is some sort of hole in his game or question marks because of an injury, things like that. Teams either think that physically he isn't quite there, or that he needs time to build up to a higher level of competition, or that he has a specific hole in his game that needs coaching up (Like Kiser - the Rams liked him enough to draft him higher than Obo, and to trade up specifically to get him, but he couldn't get into the lineup still - supposedly because while he's fierce against the run, his coverage skills are not quite there yet, as expected by some coming out of college. They like him, but didn't expect him to be a starter right away).

Again, I have nothing against Obo - but he apparently was not somebody they expected immediate help from, but more a long term guy they think they can develop - teams need those too, though given how they got rid of all the linebacker starters except Barron, who was coming off of multiple surgeries, it would have been nice if they'd made more of an effort to find more guys to contribute in 2018.

I'll admit, the lack of scoring made it boring to the casual fan. It was exciting in the fact that it was close most of the game. But our offense, which was the strength of the team all season, played very poorly. Our defense, which had its problems most the season, played very well. But they needed to pitch a shutout in order to win. Too much to ask.

The other day I went golfing and had a terrible day. Shots that were my strength were not there. So I just gotta go back to the range and get it back. I need to figure it out. McVay needs to go back to the practice field and get his mojo back. Plays that were the strength of the team were not there. He needs to figure it out.

Maybe this loss will teach him something. I'm still hoping my bad day on the course will teach me something.

Normally I do not have any issues with this either.

It depends who falls to us. A player like Red Medically Flagged DT Jeffery Simmons was to fall to us @ #31.... I would draft the DT. You get that 5th-year option with that first round pick. That adds a great deal of value to it. Simmons will miss all of the OTA's TC & preseason & most likely the first half of the season so he stands to drop 15 to 20 selections. NFL Draft .com has him rated as the #3 overall. If a true starting 34 D edge rusher was on the board like Polite or Burns you would have to draft him @ #31.

I have those desires as well. I love the thought of seeing those places I’ve longed for. The images I’ve seen in books and on TV. The Pyramids being tops, Machu Picchu being way up there...but then I think of the financials. That would take away any saving I’ve amassed and leave my wife with only my life insurance to get by.

When you think big picture like that, it’s not as easy. At least not for someone without greater means. A wealthy man, I imagine, lives it the fuck up! Lol

Star Trek Discovery immensely disappointed me. Somewhere along the way, Discovery lost the magic that made Star Trek so special to me. Then came The Orville. The Orville completely satisfied my Star Trek cravings.

Coconut speaks of social engineering. Maybe that's what soured me on Discovery. I feel The Orville is less PC. If you compare the two shows on Rotten Tomatoes you will find the Critics award Star Trek Discovery 82% while the public give Discovery a 49% rating. The critics award The Orville a 65% while the public give The Orville a 91% rating.

Yeah, I'd love for him to be seen as a potential starter by other teams and to get a large enough contract to bring a draft pick - but I doubt it. I don't see him as having done enough for a team to want him to start or see him as serious competition for a starter. I don't even see him as a guy you sign as the primary backup even. I think he gets a small signing bonus and is brought in to compete with one or two others for the backup spot.

I thought about this as well. I’m ok with Tre Boston and George Iloka. Tre Boston is similar to Clinton-Dix, but Iloka is more of a Phillips’ type safety. They will probably be cheaper than Clinton-Dix.
