Oh they released rookie numbers? Got a tweet i missed it.

Thus far? No, I haven't seen anything with rookie numbers for the Rams. They've released them for the Chargers, but not the Rams.

lol I'm sure he won't, he's not lost his RB1 role just yet, unless Hunter sets the world on fire in pre-season.
Kyren is a top 5 RB in this league. I know he has his flaws, but he consistently makes yards out of nothing. So many times I'd watch TGII or S-Jax run right into the back of his OL while the flanks were wide open. It was maddening. KW sees holes on an uncanny level.
That's why he will be so deadly paired with JH: run KW in the 1st half, grind down the DL, then blow them up in the 2nd half w/ JH.
In 2026, if KW walks, do the same thing w/ BC & JH.
He’s very underrated here. I was watching the Saints game again and he threaded the needle on some holes that I didn’t think he could hit. Some of the holes didn’t look like holes. Kyren’s vision is elite.

In that game Vilma said Kyren credits McVay for making him a better runningback. He learned so much in his three years with the Rams and McVay makes it fun to play.

I hope they find some common ground with Kyren on a contract. Corum looks like he may become a good RB but he does not have Kyren’s vision or cutting ability when hitting the hole.

As usual, the Rams have set themselves up well with multiple options.

If Hunter underwhelms but Kyren has another monster season, they'll extend Kyren.

But if Kyren regresses and Hunter and Corum show out, they can let Kyren go.

But yeah, I have high hopes for the country boy from Auburn. Squats 660 and can dunk in cowboy boots. That's gotta be good for something!

To me he’s a better cutter and quicker he just need more reps… don’t think they should pay kyren

After reading several pages on Hunter, a couple things bear mentioning:
1) as with all of the top RBs coming out, he looks like he has some breakaway ability, but he’s outrunning collegians, not pros. I want to see that ability translate before I get too excited.
2) I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss KW. The fumbles sucked, but he was outstanding for the Rams in getting chunks, blocking, and avoiding TFL.
3) there has to be a better term to demonstrate a player’s ability than, “Explosive Runs”!

I agree. KW was pretty phenomenal for us last year and the year before outside of the fumbles. I have to think he’s doing everything he can to correct that. If he does, he’s considered a true top 5 or even higher RB.

Unfortunately, this really WAS a good draft for RBs. I think there may be 5 that challenge him to stay in that top 5.

I like KW quite a bit. He has his limitations that we’ve discussed ad nauseam. And he fumbles at some pretty inopportune times. But he has some pretty elite skills. And will get you yardage fairly consistently.

I don’t think the Rams should offer him elite money though. Let him prove out at least for most of the season, then consider extending him.

McVay will get what beats him. He got the Saquan Barkley answer with this pick. No, not saying Hunter is Barkley but he has that homerun ability. He beefed up our DTs and LBs to stop the run also. We now have few weaknesses.

Everyone keeps bringing up the dunking a ball in boots. I keep thinking about how a guy can jump out of a swimming pool. That would be more than waist deep water if he’s 5’9”. Think about it. That seems insane.
Maybe he was in the shallow end.

Thats still generally 3 1/2 feet of water or about a meter in your neck of the woods.
I jumped out of the pool once but I was standing on the top step :D

There is a play where DL jumps on his back while others are trying to tackle him and he carries the guy for 5 more yards. The dude can break some tackles.
