Still dont understand the narrative from nearly everyone on the board that Gurley was underused last year and he can be special again with more touches. The guy is CLEARLY not the same. CLEARLY. Use your eyes.
The way I see it, attitude is a major thing. Right now, Gurley's attitude doesn't seem that great, which doesn't square with other selfless acts on the field that he's displayed. But humans don't have to be totally consistent when they get triggered by a situation they don't like.
Also, Gurley has shown that's he a grinder who seems to get better the longer he is in the game. Saving him for the 4th quarter doesn't seem to work and it affects his feel for the game.

Or, maybe his knees won't let him be the Gurley we all remember, hence lets see what he has by running him till he drops. Running him at half speed is worthless to me.

So here is what no one has talked about. Who is the next QB of the New England Patriots?

Andy Dalton
Cam Newton
Love from Utah
Tua
Well, we're talking about it, just not in this thread... lol

Wtf. We already had Carr. He sucked. Why the fuck would we bring him back?
He’s the only one I’ve see say you guys the rest are saying Texans.

True. And the trend is definitely going to continue to be towards more speed.

But one of the attractive elements of the 3-4--besides its versatility and unpredictability--is the field is split for the off ball types. This is why 3-4 defenses can go a little bigger and more physical at ILB and you have guys start for good defenses every year who would not be as good if they were playing MIKE in a 4-3. So it is valid to say the Rams have lacked physicality at ILB since the scheme change due to the quality of their ILBs.

The elite type ILBs who can do both at a high level (fill well vs the run or cover) are pretty rare and tend to go early in the draft. In this draft I think there are three of them (Simmons, Queen, Murray) not that they do both at an elite level right now but they project to possibly be that level of player off ball. Simmons is a freak, Queen and Murray are special not in size but instincts, closing speed, navigating traffic, etc. Not sure if any of them will make it to 52, maybe Queen will given the quality of this draft but I think for this season we're probably going to be subbing more than a defense like the Bears due to our lack of talent.

It’ll have to be someone who can deal with the heat of trying to fill Brady’s shoes in that market.

Newtons out because of that in my eyes.

Dalton can keep his head down in the media so maybe.

A rookie would get a much longer leash but is Billecheat in win now mode?

My money is on a rook for sure and maybe Dalton foe a year while the rook learns.
