I would have signed Whit as an asst OL coach with 3 years guaranteed. Then fire him and sign him to a 2 year league minimum player contract.

3 years?
As in, 3 years but the last 2 don't count?

That'd be my guess. much of the money as a signing bonus, then he can be cut after a year so 2/3 would be dead money for 2021. It's one way to play the game, especially with a likely big boost to the cap for 2021. Money still has to be accounted for, of course.

Fowler, Littleton, and Brock gone and we've yet to bring in any talent to replace them. Two holes at ILB now... Man what is our plan for the defense because Im really wondering how it gets better while losing talent.

The d gave up two 3rd and 16s on the last drive to save the rams season. Did you really think the rams were gonna break the bank to pay all the defensive players part of that? Donald and Ramsey are the only players worth breaking the bank.

Hard to put the blame on those three, they were all pretty solid for us. I like the Floyd signing even though I think its a tad much, but we better have a plan at interior d-line and ILB. Putting our faith in completely unproven mid/late round picks like Gaines and Kaiser to start and be difference makers sounds a lot like our o-line plan last year.

i wasn't putting the blame on them. i was just saying the rams weren't gonna spend $38m per year on them. donald and ramsey are the building blocks of the rams d now.

there's plenty of young talent on the team. we'll see what they've got now and if the rams drafted well.
