B.Y on Jared Verse OTA progress (DaSilva)

It woulda been intriguing to have a talented tight end for the next 5 years. Look at what Kelce does for Mahomes and KC. Get the right one and he's really tough to cover. But on the other hand, would we really need one? One that we woulda gave up a lot for? I know its all about offense. A good one can get you to the playoffs. But if you want to go deep in the playoffs you gotta have that defense. I think things worked out ok. Verse could be a top tier pass rusher very soon.

Who is your Greatest Rams Running Back of All Time?

I go back to the Lawrence McCutcheon days and I have to go with Eric Dickerson.
The records he broke, the yards per game.
How smooth and athletic he looked when he ran.
Those gazelle legs.
Serious poetry in motion.

He was the only player I ever saw that made Tom Landry give up in a playoff game.
The Rams were at Dallas and early in the fourth quarter Tom Landry started putting in his second stringers hoping to avoid an embarrassing blowout.

Marshall Faulk runs a close second, IMO, because of his ability to catch the ball was an extra problem for defenses and led to quite a few extra wins for the Rams.

Stafford's 37 best throws from 2023 - Will he be better in 2024?

Thanks for posting this. I don't think we sometimes realize just how hard the QB position is. Some of the windows he hits are so small and anticipated. He is so good with hitting small targets at so many different angles. Goff was and is a good QB, but Matthew is next level and I'm grateful we have him. Like @Merlin said, if the OL and run game go as we expect, this is going to be an amazing year to watch.

Top 5 Los Angeles Rams Rookie Seasons Of All-Time

It's a shame that the NFL's definition of a rookie doesn't apply to Kurt Warner, because in a 1st complete year as a starter, dude wins a Super Bowl. The year before he was recognized by the Rams and hardly anyone else, as a great practice squad QB. He may have been available for a few games at the end of the 1998 season, but certainly the Rams brass were not impressed enough because they made moves to acquire Trent Green from the Skins (?) before the 1999 season.
It should be similar to MLBs rookie playing time requirements. Like a specific number of games as a game day active.

I've got an extra ticket

Have fun Bo!!!

I admire you taking full advantage of your retirement. Good on you Brudda!

Since you're in Omaha. There is a cool restaurant there called Spaghetti Works. It's been there forever because I went there a couple of different times when I had to go up there to visit my parents during Christmas when I was still in college. They had all you can eat Spaghetti and there was a crap load of different kinds. It's still there... I loved that place.
I’ve been there. Old building with old decor. Good food and great atmosphere. Thanks for the reminder. I’ll be right behind home plate so look for my mug!

Is Matthew Stafford a HOFer in Waiting?

Stafford is still active and more than relevant . So he ain’t waiting on anything. He’s kicking ass and adding to his legacy. He will retire when he decides to retire and I believe it will include another 2-3 years of high achievement and another Super Bowl ring. So hell yeah he’s a future HOFer.

I will agree most definitely .The Rams have J.Jackson,Steve Avila, & Kevin Dotson to hopefully secure the pocket.Kyren has 2 more seasons, but Blake Corum has 4 more season.

Darious Williams named the Rams' most underrated player for 2024

IMO humble opinion I think the chances of DW giving us a really good season is a lot higher than White's ability to. Something just doesn't sit right with me as far as his health issues are concerned. I have doubts he can get back to being close to the player he was and/or not reinjuring himself.
At least you are humble - I drink the kool-aide each season.I’ve seen how players workout & don’t workout. There’s something that is there that makes me believe.

Best value in latest draft for Rams

Watched "behind the grind" ep2 and McVay was super jacked on Kitchens pick.

I don’t think there was a pick he wanted more than the DT from F.St
-I’m not in a good space in my life tonight, but there is little I know.
-If you follow that pick & here what Mcvay is saying is why it worked & the emotions were true.
It was organic, but if Mcvay didn’t want it to happen it won’t have worked.
— I know I’m crazy in my thoughts, but it’s true only because he didn’t care what the cost was to get not he & Verse. On e he got Verse there was no value that wouldn’t have had that happen.

Behind the Grind Episode 2: Inside the Draft

Even if everything doesn’t go right, I think the unit is still upgraded considerably.
Agreed. Hypothetically, would you trade Witherspoon, Fuller and JJ3 for Curl, Williams, and Tre White while you've also got Lake, Yeast, Kendrick, Durant and J Taylor coming back and then nab Kinchens in the draft?
We know what we had with the first three, and it was underwhelming. The potential for growth and improvement with what we now have is impressive.

Rich Eisen NFC West best division in football?

I’ll say this, I think AZ finishes ahead of Seattle by a game or two.
Possible, depending on how MacDonald settles in as the HMFIC. But personally I think MacDonald is a hell of a defensive mind, and his hire of OC was particularly astute. Those two should be a tough combo schematically to face.

Also I think Seattle's defensive roster is stronger.

Where Arizona should have the advantage is QB. But it's Murray so... Who knows. :laugh3:
