Made of the right stuff mentally and he’s rocked up physically. All I need to see is can he take jet motion hand offs? Could be a more physical player than Bobby Trees in a similar role. Great to find more WR depth.
Wentz doesn't fit the offense. McVay had to change, or should I say la fleur and McVay had to change the offense in the last game against the Niners to fit Wentz's skillset. Its not ideal to have a backup that needs major changes to the game plan in order for him to run it. A seamless transition is better if the Starter goes down in a game.
They are better off with Garapolo even if they have to rely on the short game more. Jimmy G has a very quick release and good synapse. HR was getting the ball out quickly against the Rams and AD (1.5 seconds). He knows the offense since its similar to Shanahan's. He's a better choice than Wentz.
Hang in there. 4 more weeks from now we will be getting tons of "information", and no more personal woes except from @Loyal, but we're all used to his stuff by now.
The 2025 QB class might be better than advertised.
I don't see Ewers as a slam dunk or anything. He's a talent but in the crunch he's gonna have to show he can win the big games. Also I am not a big fan of Sark, so to me at least that's not a big bonus for him or anything, for my money Milroe is far better set up in that regard. But you also have a big talent in this class potentially in Ward, and media darling Sanders. And Beck is probably the top guy of course.
I'm gonna have an eye on Ewers, also Dart, because it's hard to say who is going to fall where. Dart might not be a starting talent, we'll see, but I like him.
Guy I am most intrigued by is probably Weigman, who has a coolness to him back there which I am a big fan of. He got hurt quick last season, but I suspect he's going to be a big time name this season. Here's all his throws in his debut:
What's fucked up here is the guy did produce. So I get why he wants more money. But when you play a key position like pass rush and a GM like Roseman deals your ass and then the team you're dealt to elects not to pay you and instead opts for hardball... This probably means there's some kind of dysfunction somewhere. Either he's an asswipe in the locker room, or he overvalues his contributions in terms of contract, etc. Something's not right there.
GMs and front office types are a network. If you do some shit that labels you as an outlier you're gonna have to deal with the fallout. So to me this entire evolution makes him look like he's got something wrong. And of course the Jets receive a good dose of bukkake because, well, they're the Jets.
Agree on focusing on making the QB pay for the play. I was saying the same thing about the option. It was the one play where the QB is a running back even if he handed the ball off. You could get a free shot and nobody would take advantage. Just hit the QB as hard as you can no mater if he had the ball and that play would be extinct.
Good call on Leonard. Is he available? And wanting to play still? I am pretty sure he is cooked from his back injury sadly. He was an outstanding player beforehand. His name was mentioned before and I voted to pass and address LB elsewhere. But the Rams opted to address other position groups instead. And we are now thin enough at LB that he might be worth a look. Maybe the time off did his body good.
Oh yeah. Floating on my back saved me a couple times. Back in my 20's I was drunk and went for a swim in Lake Meade. When I finally turned around I didn't realize how far out I swam. As I was swimming back I could feel my body wearing down. So I Just floated on my back for a couple minutes to rest. Then continued swimming on till I got to the shore.
It's just the ads for me. If you are paying this much, there should be no ads when you toggle between games. One set of ads when you login, sure. But if you put an ad in every time you switch games, it often results in your missing some live game action in the game you are flipping to.
To me - the best movies are ones that I can watch over and over again.
So these are my top 10 Marvel movies only because of re-watchability. This is not based on story or plot but the enjoyment I get from watching them.
Most of you will disagree but I don't care.
1) Avengers Endgame
2) Guardians of the Galaxy 1
3) Guardians of the Galaxy 2
4) Avengers
5) Iron Man
6) Captain America - I actually enjoyed it a heck of a lot more the second time I watched it
7. Thor - same as CA
8. X-Men
9. Avengers Infinity War
10. Dr Strange
Black Panther Wakanda which is considered the best live action marvel movie - I find to be a much overrated movie. I enjoyed it but watching it a second time - I got slightly bored. Kind of like most Oscar Winning Movies - great acting - great story - but nothing that I want to watch over and over.
Bob was the master of the pause. He hit home runs after every pause in his jokes. Loved his acting and was part in one of the all time TV show finales. Name that show! RIP BOB!...
Yes, he did. His team was losing in the 4th quarter at the time too. Fortunately for him, the refs didn't blow the play dead. So he got back up and completed a long pass. The kind of bullshit that other QBs wouldn't have gotten away with. Login to view embedded mediaView: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk8wdxgj_xY
Picking up limbs now. I’m too old for this crap. The couch looks way too good right now.
But I had a weird occurrence. My old F150 holds rain water since I got it Linex’d a few years ago. The rear end sits a little higher than the front so it fills up until it starts leaking out of the tailgate. I go out today to back it down the driveway to let the water drain out so I can fill it with these damn limbs. But, there’s not a drop of water in it. After 15 in of rain or so, not a drop. I can’t explain it. What the hell? We still have a pretty good breeze and I’m sure a lot of rain came down at a severe angle but that defies logic.
Can you imagine what Aaron Donald coulda done with the lack of rules back in those days? And when offensive linemen were more like 270 pounds instead of 320?
