Reason Kroenke moved franchise back to LA see list

Does that make Sofi stadium a value of $2.5 billion? Didn't it cost somewhere around $5 billion to build?
It's odd. I kept hearing two different numbers that seemed to eventually morph into one. There was the actual cost of the stadium and then the cost of the overall project. I believe that $5 billion is the project that includes the amphitheatre, NFL West headquarters, and tourist destinations (hotels, restaurants, etc). I thought the stadium itself was somewhere in the $2.8 range. I could be wrong on this but when I tried to figure it all out about a year ago, I couldn't find anything that really separated and detailed it out.

With all that the project contains, I don't know how much if any the stadium factors in. If Stan (God forbid) were to sell the team, I highly doubt the stadium would be included in that valuation.

Most team owners don't own their stadiums so I have to think the valuations placed on the teams do not include stadiums. At the same time, if a team is in an old stadium with little chance of getting a new one or significant upgrade, you'd think that would somehow factor in as well.

Lot of words to say IDK.

Harbaugh must have got my Voice Mail…..

Haha He doesn’t want him taking a knee on the sidelines creating BS.

Happy for CrapOnDick
lol

i just don’t get the failing up mind set. He got kicked to the curb after showing he wasn’t very good. Had he Brady level talent, Ole Colin could have wiped his backside with the flag at the 50

He’d be starting somewhere today

Crap….had failing up been the way when I was coming up, I woulda been a freakin king

Bootleg football gushing over LA Rams franchise

When I saw it was 90 minutes I kinda balked. Luckily though I decided to plow through it. Great insights and breakdowns. I also agree with their overall assessment. I think the Rams will go far as long as the injury bug doesn't take a big/critical bite out of them. Thanks to @Corbin for posting!
Haha I did the same exact thing. That was an absolute treat to watch!

RIP Jimmy Buffet

There's a Coral Reefers concert today happening Hawk's Cay Resort. They're having a Jimmy Buffet look-a-like contest during the show.

That resort is literally right next to Duck Key which is where we are right now. I plan on crashing the concert from our boat because the stage is set-up right next to the water.

Facial Recognition of Fans by Owners

Step right up to the Orb so that you can be identified recorded!

You would love the Intuit Dome, LA's latest 2 billion dollar home to sports & entertainment that will host the Clippers home games and the 28' Olympics.
It is no cash no tix and uses an app and facial recognition for entrance and other services.
It opened last night to underwhelming reviews and a lack of efficiency.

Rams Cowboys Scrimmage 08/14/24

Defenses can be so volatile.

Our 2018 defense was better than our 2017 defense in personnel, but that didn't show up until the playoffs.

2021 was better than 2020 - especially once Miller was added. Also didn't show until the playoffs.

2023 was supposed to be horrifically bad, but it wasn't too far behind 2022 and in some ways was better.

As good as Aaron Donald is, is he better than Verse, Fiske, Darious Williams, White, Curl and Kinchens combined? Absolutely not.

Raheem was solid for us, but never helmed an "elite" defense, though he inherited one.

I think is a virtual lock that this defense is significantly better than last years.
The opposing Oline will not be able to triple team someone without someone else getting to the QB. That is an improvement. The safeties with Curl, Kinchens are improved. The Corners with White and Williams are improved. Anybody paying attention would agree with you.

Stats

Lies, damned lies and statistics.

Who is the best hitter in the NL?
Who is the best hitter in the AL?

How come there is only 1 player hitting .300 in the NL (Arraez)?
Is the pitching better in the NL?
Is average the stat to determine the best hitter?
Is it OPS? (Ohtani)

Some weird numbers.

Collective NL ERA is 4.40
Collective AL ERA is 4.09
Six .300 hitters in the A.L.
Three hitters with an OPS north of 1.000
No hitter in the NL north of that OPS number.

Lies, damned lies and statistics.

So, Are You Lovin' Preseason This Year?

I like preseason a lot.

It doesn't always lead to something, but I was PUMPED to see Puka last year, and was thrilled to see Whittington this year
I'm really enjoying preseason THIS year.
A whole bunch of [to me] interesting prospects, and many of them looked good in the Dallas game.
Whittington and Davis looked excellent, the backup OL and depth DBs played well, the tackling was quite good, etc etc.
I was especially impressed how well the OL and DBs played together. Speaks to great coaching.
I'm jacked to see more personally.
