Ramswire: Photos from Week 2

Some really nice ones in here. Just picked up a new avatar from them in fact. (y)

Snap Counts vs. Saints

It look like Wade finally has the players and depth to run his defense. The prior two years the OLB position was severely lacking talent and healthy players.
Wade is sure to begin to work in his 4th edge rusher Natrez Patrick as this season goes on. Think on this for a moment this rookie UDFA who was a ILB'er @ UG has edged out the more famous college pass rusher Og Okoronkwoo_O. Patrick must have put in the effort in St's for Bones to have past'd Okoronkwo.

Another ER that I was highly impressed with during the four pre-season games was ER Landis Durham. I would not be surprised to see him brought up from the PS unit before the end of the season. I see LD similar to what Cory Littleton was in his first season in the NFL.

Rapoport: Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee “coughed up blood” from lung injury

I'm as white as they come. Mostly Welsh with a bit of English, Scot, and Irish. Hot food doesn't bother me. My mother grew up in Carson, CA and learned how to cook up some damn good Mexican food. Chiles Rellanos and Tacos were staples growing up. My nickname from middle school through HS was "Taco". Everybody wanted to eat at my parents house. We used to get fresh tortillas and uncooked made from "real" lard flour tortillas when we visited Carson. There was a tortilla factory nearby and our ice chest would be filled for the 2 day drive to Oregon.
I used to like ordering chili rellenos at restaurants until my wife experimented at home and spoiled me. That's when I understood what they were supposed to be. They're a bit more work, so she doesn't cook them frequently, but it has become my birthday request dinner :)

Watch highlights from Rams' impressive win over Saints

The New Orleans Saints were no match for the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon, largely because Drew Brees missed most of the game with an injury to his throwing hand. The Rams lost a few players themselves – Aaron Donald left briefly, while Austin Blythe and Tyler Higbee also suffered injuries – but none were as big as Brees leaving the game.
The Rams took advantage and rolled to a 27-9 victory, keeping the high-powered Saints offense out of the end zone all day.

It was a relatively close game until the end of the third quarter when the Rams began to pull away. Of course, the Saints were robbed of a defensive touchdown after a fumble was ruled incomplete and blown dead, but Los Angeles took advantage of its opportunities.
If you missed the game, the full highlight reel can be seen below. Cooper Kupp’s 66-yard catch is must-see, as is Brandin Cooks’ 57-yard grab.

Colin Cowherd Post Game "Nailed it"!!!!!!!!!!

I think he does put in the time, I enjoy his NFL top 10 teams throughout the season. His QB ranking pretty solid too

Agree on both counts. I posted his top 3 tier QB list about a month ago....folks didn't much care for Goff listed among tier 3 grouping (#'s 11-17). But so far, that appears reasonable. That said, the tier 1 and 2 club took a hit recently (Luck, Big Ben & Brees). There are openings above :palm: question becomes, who will fill them?

[Updated] Antonio Brown released, signs w/Patriots

Sports Illustated's Robert Klemko reports Antonio Brown is facing sexual misconduct allegations from a second accuser stemming from an incident in 2017.

The accuser (whose name Klemko did not reveal on the condition of anonymity) was commissioned to paint a mural at Brown's home when AB spoke to her while allegedly naked except for a hand cloth covering his genitals. Klemko goes on to describe numerous instances where Brown reneged on agreements, inventing sources of conflict to get out of paying chefs, publicists, trainers, valets, personal assistants and even a charity. Aside from stiffing his employees, the article also alleges Brown intentionally passed gas in a doctor's face during a check-up and allowed party guests to freely smoke marijuana in the presence of his children while repeatedly ghosting those he owned money. Overall, Klemko's profile paints the portrait of a deeply disturbed narcissist with chronic anger issues and little regard for other people. Brown is finally back to playing football but the dark cloud of controversy swirling around him continues to grow.

6 takeaways from the Rams 27-9 victory over the Saints

Thought the safety play from Weddle, Johnson and Rapp was outstanding. No scheme breakdowns and lots of tackles. Less visibly the corners didn’t give up much of anything. Of course pressure from the front helps everything on the back end.

Imo the D is already showing as more coherent and effective than last year.
Remarkable how the Ram trio of safeties all shine when Marqui Christian is not one of the three.

I saw an outstanding burst from #32 all afternoon. We are so lucky to have signed this old veteran Eric Weddle!

Nomadic Ranging Rapp had to be a top Wade desired selection before the draft. This defender is a perfect fit in his system. Wade is sleeping well these days in his advanced age. Eureka there's GOLD on the Range in the City of Angels!
