Rams first pitched Marcus Peters to Browns for Bitonio

I agree @Merlin. Only good reason I could see to break confidence would be to flex to Bitonio that "hey, you know how much we want you? Rams offered us Marcus Peters and we turned them down, flat."

Actually, come to think of it, the Browns may have been the team that wanted Peters to take a pay cut and the Rams refused and found a partner in the Ravens.

Which would backfire on them if the real story was, "yeah, we'll send you one of our best if not best OL, but Peters needs to take a pay cut."

I doubt we ever learn the truth, but wouldn't surprise me if that was the case...

OL Bobby Evans?

Bobby Evans is built like a OG. He's 6'4" 312 lbs with 34.75" arms, giving him excellent play radius. He's never played OG so give him this year and next OTAs and TC to learn and practice the position and I think he will be a good OG. I still think he ends up at LG with Havenstein or Brewer at RG. Chandler Brewer is also built like a OG at 6'6", 320 lbs, with 34.25" arms.

I still think Edwards will end up at RT with Noteboom at LT.
Ram 2020 o-line might look like:

LT Noteboom
LG Evans
C Allen
RG Havenstein or Corbett
RT Edwards

I think there is a wildcard in the mix next year with Chandler Brewer. This guy is big but he's got good feet. Good enough to play RT if he as to. That's why he's the perfect swing OG because unlike Demby, Brewer has played both OG and OT in college.

That's why ultimately I'm not concerned about the O-line long term. They have talent already on the team. They simply need to sort things out and see how all the pieces fit.

This season I think they need to make some serious o-line changes during the bye. Not only in the blocking scheme but in personnel. After the bye they need to make a serious run and they can't do it with a struggling right side. Even if it means leaving Edwards at LG for now, they need to move Havenstein to RG and Edwards to RT. They have Corbett and Evans to work out and see who fits best at LG.

Malcolm Brown

Your right on paper is a two year deal, but in structure it's a one year deal, as all but $50K was front loaded. His 2020 salary would be slightly more than vet minimum for him. If they intended to keep him for the full 2 years it seems unlikely they would have front loaded the contract. IMO what this would seem to indicate that they will either renegotiate a new contract or release him to allow him to further his career. At 26 he really only has one more prime contract left so I doubt they would hold him back. It also gives them the ability to trade him at the end of the year.

They didn't negotiate the contract. They matched it after it was negotiated.

While he is not always available, he is a quality player when he is available, and will be very cheap next season. No reason to release him, since he will be cheap, since he has shown himself to be useful when healthy. It is likely that they get another RB on the cheap next season, I'm guessing they will bring in a UDFA or two, unless somebody they really like falls in the draft.

By next season I'm guessing they will have confidence in Henderson as a full part of the rotation. If Gurley has regained his mojo, then the Rams will be fine barring multiple injuries.

Just got my Rams Falcons Tickets.

Where is everyone right this minute? I’m outside the stadium.

ILB Kenny Young returns to his "backyard" after trade to Rams

Kenny Young reminds me of Danny Trevathan. He's 1" taller and 4# heavier, so basically the same build. Both run sideline to sideline and hit.

Trevathan would be a TERRIBLE fit in NE which uses big ILBs, but he was great in Wade's D. He was a 6th rounder, iirc.

Kenny Young looks to be that guy and Young and Ramsey give Wade most of what he needs to make this a super tough D.

We have a better Derek Wolfe in AD. We have a Malik Jackson in Brockers. We may have our Sylvester Williams in SJD.

We now basically have all the pieces and once Talib and Matthews return, he could basically run that NFZ Defense...

Was screaming for Fisher to draft Trevathan in the fifth round. So, so disappointed when he went to the Broncos.

If Kenny Young is anything like Trevathan, we got ourselves a steal.

L.A. zip code?

If it tries to match your IP to your location or the location of your ISP, then it won't matter, it'll crap out.

If not, just put in Encino, 91316. It's in the San Fernando Valley just north of LA, but in LA county and the hills to the south obstruct satellite for some of the residents so you might get a break, kinda like they did with Manhattan, allowing alternatives...

Will The Rams Right The Ship?

I think the changes made sent a message to the locker room.

We're here to WIN. Get on or get off, but this bus is going to Victoryville and we ain't making any stops in Loserton (It has to be spelled that way because there's no W in Loserton...)

The FO has sent a CLEAR signal that they will trade away and trade for a former All-Pro if it will help the team.

Plus the excitement of having two of the top 10 defenders in the league on D has seemed to put a jolt of energy into everyone (loved that Ramsey acknowledged that AD is the best in all of football. Game respects game, yo.)

I did one of those "playoff predictors" in which you go game by game and the rest of our schedule is winnable. We have a few tough games... SF in SF, Bears in LA, Seattle in LA... but they are winnable.

I'll say it. If they get this OL going...enough... they could win out.

And I'm the same guy who said this team was a 5-11 team.

Part of that is the difference in McVay's demeanor. I think HE thinks he's figured something out. For weeks, it's been that same furrowed brow. Last PC, he seemed lighter and every time that happened, this team was ready to take off.

Game Preview: Rams, Falcons seek to end lengthy skids

Boy, they ain't kidding around in the ATL trying to help their team win...

I don't freak out during blackouts. I take advantage and sleep. Cell phone has power so I got phone and an alarm.

Once I took a hot shower in the dark during a blackout because I didn't want to wake up to no hot water. Went fine. Power was on in the morning and a lot of people complained about alarm clocks and cold showers...

/shrug.

Now, when they try to poison guys (Kobe), or do that "pull the alarm" thing...that's not cool.
