Jalen Ramsey's next contract will keep Rams spiraling downward in NFC

Credit Mcvay & The Rams for giving him his space & respect. The questions were sort of silly. They need to do a better job.

Where is professionalism?? Do your job !!! Come prepared ,for the player & Fans !!!

I think there were a lot of questions that could have been asked that weren’t. Who was the young guy that used to post here ?? Downtown Brown ?? He was learning , but was still more prepared & held an interview. These reports get 1 maybe 2 questions each. How hard is it ??

Any way . I’m excited for the season & hate missing training camp. Always a good feeling to see the players on the grass with the coaching staff !! Especially in Pads.
I agree. I liked that Jalen stood up to them about asking the same question over and over until they get the answer they wanted. Gets old listening to them dig and dig until they find even the smallest of things and then put their own twist on it to blow it out of proportion to make it seem like a story.

Aaron Donald: Jalen Ramsey is in for 'a huge season'

I agree with AD that Ramsey is in for a huge season. He's an elite player and he's going to show it this season. It's a contract year for him and there are millions at stake. Not sure the Rams can lock him up before he hits FA but hopefully that happens.

Oh and btw this also means teams are going to target the fuck out of the CB2 and sCB positions. The guys manning those positions are going to be very, very busy.

34 days until football

I would have to go with Les Josephson here. Did not know until just now that he passed away earlier this year.

Ten year Rams’ career. Played on a lot of quality teams with Roman Gabriel, Dick Bass and Jack Snow. His best years were before I became a Rams’ fan but he was around for the first couple seasons under Chuck Knox. Productive and versatile back

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports the NFL considers "the use of virtual fans in stadiums a viable option for game days."
Anyone who has watched an NBA or MLS game inside the bubble knows what this will look like. Per Fowler, "enhanced virtual advertising also is an option to fill vacant seats." Both of these solutions are just Band-Aids on top of the disaster of fanless stadiums. Although some teams are still preparing as if they will be allowed to operate at limited capacity, the smart money is on no fans anywhere in Week 1.

man these rotoworld nimrods really make my want to strangle their pencil necks.

the league is doing what it can to be able to have a season. do these bozos even know what's happening in the world? they must since they mentioned the nba and mls.

the real disaster would be if there is no nfl.

.

Kinda liking the new helmet. A lot.

Don’t worry, once we see everything in motion and we’re watching TD celebrations, you won’t really focus on those little things so much as how it blends together. The helmets being a matching color, bright, it’s gonna stand out and look real good doing it.

Winning will help digest it better for sure, but it shouldn't have been necessary.

Rams offense

I'm not as sold as you are on Blythe at C. We REALLY needed to address C in the draft and/or F/A, but didn't. I think that bites us this season. Best scenario is, Hav learns better technique than the ol' one armed choke hold he used until it got flagged last year as holding, Noteboom gets solid teaching from AW, Evans & Edwards grow into their own with possibly one of them taking over for Hav, and Blythe over-performing.
Covid will be the over-riding factor in EVERY team's future this season. This could be one of those asterisk* seasons. (i.e., strike shortened, PED scandal, etc.)

Kicker Lirim Hajrullahu is the Rams new secret weapon

CFL players mostly come from the US college system...the same ones NFL teams draft. Have you watched a CFL game? Tee's haven't been used since the modifications to mimic the NFL goalposts. I'm sorry that Dieter Brock traumatized you, but here's a short list of some of the successful CFL players that did well in the NFL

I'm quite familiar with the CFL, and the list emphasizes how rare it is that a player makes the jump. If conditions in CFL were comparable, why then arent we seeing many kickers make the transition??
This guy may win the job, but it will be due to his ability to win the job in pre-season, all the CFL experience did was get him a shot

Jalen Ramsey on his defensive role: 'Nobody's done what I'll be asked to do'

True. Forgot about Hopkins for a bit.

Arizona's really improved their roster. Would not be surprised to see them oust the Hags for third place and a potential playoff spot. They drafted well, in my honest opinion (Isaiah Simmons is a Swiss-Army-knife of a defensive player, and they got Leki Fotu, whom I really wanted.)

The draft is nice. That is where you build a team for the future. But it doesn't happen very often where a rookie class comes in and propels a team to great things. Rookies need time. If Arizona is gonna be a much improved team it will be the veterans who lead them.

They are the new darlings of the NFL. Like the Browns were the past couple seasons. But as I did with the Browns, I'll believe it when I see it. I still look at them as a team trying stay out of 4th place in the toughest division. Should be better but I'll be surprised if they win more than 8 games.

Aaron Donald talks returning to facility, how he'll be used in defense

Aaron Donald talks returning to facility, how he'll be used in defense

Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald held a video conference with local media on Wednesday to discuss returning to the team's facility and how he will be used in Brandon Staley's defense, among other important topics. Here are some of the highlights and key takeaways from that virtual conversation:
"Guys know what they need to do. We're all grown men at the end of the day."

Asked if he has had any discussions with teammates about COVID-19, Donald echoed cornerback Jalen Ramsey's Tuesday comments that the Rams' locker room is mature enough to know how to make good choices away from the facility when it comes to risk mitigation.

In an answer to a separate question about playing in the midst of a pandemic, Donald said he feels safe because of the protocols in place and that maintaining that safety will "depend on guys doing what they need to do outside the facility."

"We've got good things going in that's not just going to help me, but help a lot of guys around us. I'm definitely excited about it."

The walkthroughs included in this week's acclimation period are giving Donald his first chance to translate what he's learned from multiple virtual installation meetings about the way Staley plans to use him onto the field.

Donald said that prior to arriving at the facility, Staley in the offseason called him "multiple times" to explain certain things he plans to do to put him in good positions within the scheme.

"I feel strong. I feel like I'm getting older, but I feel like I'm just getting in better shape as I get older. I feel amazing."

It was already detailed in May that Donald's work ethic hadn't dropped off in quarantine, but in case you needed a reminder, Donald said Tuesday he was "in great shape."

Although the performance center at the University of Pittsburgh which bears his name was temporarily closed due to the pandemic, Donald was still able to maintain his offseason conditioning regimen by working out in "The Dungeon" – the basement gym of his childhood home in Pittsburgh – and with his longtime speed trainer DeWayne Brown of Two-Tenths Speed & Agility.

PFT "State of the Franchise" LA Rams

I watched a few times believe it or not. It's just too weird having Sims defending the Rams. The 23rd power rating gets you to watch. Some reasoning is very questionable. Losing Wade seems more like a plus than a minus to me. So does the loss of Weddle and Matthews. Gurely's and Cooks' production should be replaced by Akers and Jefferson etc......

I don't get that the Hags and Cardianls are better than the Rams. It's on!!!

Who else is anxiously awaiting this?

When I was a kid I saw a ufo. My sister was with me and we were both looking up in amazement. This was around 1977- 1979. There weren't any drones back then and it was brightly out and changed direction so quickly. If she hadn't been there with me, and recalls it still, then I think I would have figured that I imagined it after all of these years. It makes me wonder how many have been seen by people and over time they dismissed it as imagination. I was afraid to go outside at night for a few weeks afterward, thinking they were watching us. I've been a believer ever since.
