Great post @Rams43 , I agree, and have been watching this closely. Wade has already made adjustments that seem to work. Teams will not be able to continue to do this, because we are too good on offense. At some point the other team gets behind, and then we really got them. where we want them.

I think the strategy worked with the Falcons in the playoffs, but we a re better now, especially the depth up the middle. For the formula to work the other team, must be successful/consistent running the ball. How are you going to do that now??? I mean really.

Teams are going to have to be creative, take chances, and try to fool us with different looks. They will have to keep moving the pocket, and they will still have to win the one on one battles, like Cook did in the first half of the Raider game. We are a tough cover. Our secondary has really improved, overall too. Marqui has been a pleasant surprise, and John Johnson has really gotten better.

Slowing the game down, must still be the only way to beat us, unless we beat ourselves, and then the opponents will almost have to play perfect. It will be interesting to play against a mobile QB, but that has never really killed us in the recent past, even with bad teams.

Goff, can even play better, and that is scary. Our defense can play better too.

his rookie year I didnt feel like he had good foot work. He looked more like he was just plodding wearing a pair of Chippewa 8" steel toed boots. He obviously has worked on that a great deal

We didn’t just hold the Cards scoreless, we completely neutered their offense.

You can only play who’s in front of you and this team takes NO ONE for granted. That’s why we shut teams out.

I really wonder how the Chargers game is gonna shake out because Rivers is amazing....and we have his kryptonite in Peters. Melvin Gordon is no joke, but neither is our front 7.

Yup... that one play. That's the problem... he's never been able to sustain anything of significance. I guess we'll see as the season goes along. But I wouldn't bet much money that he explodes into a highly productive player.

Not sure if this is sarcasm (not blue font). If it isn't, I agree... he's not much on the field.

I believe this is the first time I have actually been impressed with Malcolm's play, maybe Kelly is pushing him to perform or lose his spot behind Gurley. Brown has not had any serious competition for the #2 spot before Kelly was drafted.

I thought it was a draw too, but I understood why they narrowly gave it to Canelo. He's a counter-puncher, and GGG is the pressure fighter. Yet, he was the one pressuring GGG the whole fight and forcing GGG onto his back foot. As Roy Jones Jr. said, Canelo won the "story" of the fight.

Easing the new guys into the OL one at a time at the end of games is a great strategy to get them ready for full time duty.

I was thinking the same thing. Speaking of Warner (kinda off topic) Cousin' TD throw to Thelen on Sunday reminded me of a Warner throw during the GSOT days. Talk about a tight window. Back to Goff, his throws remind me of, dare I say, a little bit of Brady.

So I'm watching GMFB on NFLN, and they question themselves about who is the best team in NFC, IF you exclude the Rams.....(Because they look unstoppable). WTF, I was waiting for some Rams coverage and they cut it out because they are too good? When did that ever stop the Patriot lovefest in the last decade?

Fitzpatrick could probably take McGregor too - he's the father of 6 (or is it 7) children - he must be a tough SOB!

Big signing for them. They wont have to worry about FGs anymore. Bailey is one of the best in the game. Was really hoping he would go to a AFC team and not one of our NFC rivals.

As the day has worn on, my resentment toward the media for their obvious lack of coverage is waning.

Many here are right... the Rams are facing some serious opponents in the weeks ahead. Win them, and I suspect things will turn.

For today, though.. I'm just glad about this:
