Okay, so which “new” Ram player has been most valuable through 2 games?

Cooks is making this a pick your poison offense. Cooks is way to fast to the point eventually teams are going to have to stop selling out to stop Gurley. Lol and even if they do start doubling Cooks, Kupp and Woods aren't scrubs. People say we need to get tight ends more involved; I disagree. I think its because they can't do crap about our WR's, that we haven't even needed to use them yet. I think Cooks has a lot to do with that. And I think our Offense is only getting started. First two passes to our TE's creates a huge gain as well as a score. All three starting WR's are exceptional route runners; that's all Goff needs. Once he's able to account for each players speed, its not out of the realm of possibility we'll start taking 3-5 shots down field a game.

I love all of our editions, but Cooks is already better than Sammy and fits right in with the rest of our guys.
I agree we don’t need much from our TEs beyond good blocking and occasional red zone options but I think Everett is a diamond in the rough weapon. Very athletic. Higbee is good blocker and below average receiver.

What Uni's For Next Two Games?

How the heck are they gonna keep the throwback blue/yellow colors, yet give the Rams a modern look?

Can’t wait to find out.

I love, love the throwbacks, but even I have to admit there’s a kinda 70s vibe to them.

How do ya make retro look modern?
Leave them EXACTLY like they are! We just assume they're going to modernize them. I'd be a happy dude if they were left alone. The 70's look was by far the best.

According to Some, Our Oline is the Rams Achilles Heel.

Shannon and Skip didn't mention our rookies and Blythe when discussing the old guys, which is a bad job by them.
Ah, Skip Useless again... as soon as I hear his whiny voice, the station gets flipped immediately. He's around for one thing - and one thing only - create controversy. Make up shyte just to get reactions. Well, here's one Useless:
You are an uneducated, ill-informed, know-nothing-about-football dolt.
the Los Angeles Rams are coached by the best Offensive Line Coach in the NFL
I bet Bayless & Sharpe did not mention that.
Nope, bet the idiot didn't. It might be useful to the conversation... and it might have required him to do some research. Nope, just flap your gums and see what shyte comes flying out of that big mouth.

By all accounts, both Kromer and Whitworth have been giving constant attention to Noteboom because in the misquoted words of DeMarco Farr, "they knew they needed him to be ready to go early".
And they have addressed the future. In a work in progress, but pieces are there and teaching is taking place.
But I don't expect Useless to know that... the Oline is a shambles!

When Brown's Back Who's Gone?

He counts $10M this year I think... so that has been his price tag. Agree though that if he wants to come back, they could get him to take less at this point.
Wasn't that Cincinnati's approach? Appears to me that Whitworth is more likely to be extended another year than to retire or take a pay cut-- he's having too much fun and still playing at a high level.

Brandin Cooks to Rams for a 1st: blockbuster

Los Angeles Rams seeing investment in Brandin Cooks paying off real fast

It only took Brandin Cooks two games to show he was well worth the investment for the Los Angeles Rams on offense.
During the offseason, the Los Angeles Rams pulled off a surprise out of nowhere by acquiring Brandin Cooks from the New England Patriots to provide Jared Goff with another speedy deep threat to work with.

At the time, there were some questions surrounding the decision by the Rams since they were not only giving up a future first-round pick for a second year in a row, but also this would mark the third team Cooks would be part of in three years.

Normally, when something like this happens to a talented player, there are some concerns, and the last thing Los Angeles fans wanted to see was Cooks be more of a distraction than impact.

Turns out, it only took two games for Cooks to show he was well worth the risk for the Rams when looking at the impact he’s made, including a recent seven-catch performance for 159 yards last Sunday during a win over the Arizona Cardinals. Not to mention, no one is questioning anymore the decision by Los Angeles to reward Cooks with a hefty five-year extension before even taking a single snap with the team.

After becoming the first team in NFL history last year to go from worst to first in scoring, the Rams expected similar results for the 2018 season, although early signs point to this unit potentially being better.

Remember all of the hype surrounding Sammy Watkins last season to be the speedy No. 1 target in the passing game for Goff to rely on? As Los Angeles fans remember, Watkins struggled to live up to the hype after catching just 39 passes for 593 yards, although it was great to see him find the end zone eight times.

Still, when seeing how Cooks already has 12 catches in two games for 246 yards, all signs point to the Rams wideout crush the numbers Watkins put together in 2017, his only season with the team. Just the thought of Cooks being around through the 2023 season will put a smile on the faces of any Los Angeles fan, and Les Snead along with Sean McVay deserve a ton of credit once again for turning this team around as quickly as they have since 2016.

No one ever could have imagined Cooks on the Rams around this time last year, and despite some questions early on, the speedster has proven he was well worth the investment. Based off the first two weeks, the explosiveness and speed Cooks possesses is going to make this season even more fun for Los Angeles while helping put the team in incredible position to live up to the Super Bowl hype.

We must run Gurley!!

I'd like to see a few more screens coming his way. Rams best passing play last year, and Gurley at his most effective.

Regardless of the benchmark of how many touches he should get, Rams are the best team in football when he's involved and having a big day. In the 13 games the Rams have won under McVay, Gurley averages 149 yards per scrimmage/game, and scored 18 TDs.

I am sure we will see plenty of screens in the coming weeks. I dont even think McVay has hit page 2 of this years playbook.

How many jet sweeps did we see week 1 vs week 2. Dont think there were nearly as many vs. the Cards. I could be wrong since I didn't catch the whole game, but didnt see many in the highlight reel.

Way too early post about new starters...

And the Rams are their test.

Yes, you're absolutely right. The Rams will test this current Vikings roster, particularly their new shinny-between-the-20's QB.

BTW: Did you see this video? I can't wait to see what adjustments McVay has for the rematch (one that I had hoped to see in the playoffs last year).

Rams vs. Chargers feels like..

Yeah this will be a good test because Gordon is the kind of back we struggled with in the past. I must say though, yes they were bad teams, but our tackling the first couple of games has been on point. It's wonderful not watching Ogeltree sprint right past a person barely touching them with his hand on a whiff. I'm looking forward to this game. A great test for our new defense. Luckily, our offense should bail us out of any issues but will be a good warm up for the Vikings.
Agree 100% on the tackling. Man that was frustrating to watch.

Rams Waive S Isaiah Johnson, Add T Darrell Williams Jr. to Practice Squad

What are the chances they end up signing another Darrell Williams who's a tackle and a fringe NFL player?

And I never heard on here think Demby looked so bad that they wouldn't even bother trying to coach him up.
There are things we can't know, as fans...work ethic, outside problems, attitude. Now, although he needed some work on his strength, and NFL body, overall, he had good feet, was versatile, and there was nothing to suggest to me, that he couldn't become, at the very least, a rotational player. I could also see a starting role, in his future, based on what I saw, and his sweet feet. Yes, would take a little development, IMO.

I can't weigh in on things we don't know about him. I do think he has the ability to be in the NFL, and could eventually be a starter for somebody, if there are not other problems we don't know about.
