LOL Jets fire GM

Funny thing about the Jets and their dysfunction with their HC.
They have hired 6 HC in the last 22 years, fired the last 5.
What is really interesting is that each one of those coaches had a winning record in their first season.

2015 Bowles 10-6
2009 Ryan 9-7 (Made Playoffs)
2006 Mangini 10-6 (Made Playoffs)
2001 Edwards 10-6 (Made Playoffs)
2000 Groh 9-7
1997 Parcells 9-7 (Took over 1-15 team)

Maybe they just need to hire a new coach every year?

Can your wife cook?

My wife is a wonderful cook. When she is home. Since she flies for a living, so she is gone 15 days month. Everything from Pho, to Indian, to well, you name it. She is of Hungarian descent,(her parents came from there) and rarely cooks Hungarian food. Tonight she made a dish with Ramen noodles that was fantastic. Yeah, I didn't believe it until I tasted it. The noodles were just for convenience sake. Grilled mushrooms, steak and caramelized onions mixed with the noodles.

BTW, she has burned water, more than once. And she can't make a grilled cheese without burning it.

Florio Runnin His Mouth Again

So the point Florio was trying to make is actually an interesting (but likely biased) take. According to this forum Florio is a Rams hater thru and thru.

I am asking because I truly don't know. Exactly what is Florio's major beef against the Rams? and if he is a tried and true Rams hater why does anyone consider his opinion on the Rams as viable?

Lots of Ram players are in a “prove it” situation, huh?

RG Blythe will earn over $2 million this season & will demand a good sized payday in March of next year & beyond. I do not see that happening. Thus finding LG & RG in the upcomiong Mini-Camp/ Training Camp/ Preseason is a HIGH priority.

Here is how I see this playing out....You're right keeping Whitworth healthy will ensure Noteboom is the LG for the whole season, which will serve him well in his transition to LT next season, which IMO, is his best position.

Keeping Noteboom healthy is also key (red shirt at OTA's indicates that) because he's the backup LT as well...If Whit goes down, IMO, they will shift Boom to LT and either Demby, Evans or Edwards will be the LG or if Edwards or Demby can show enough at RG, I could see Blythe being the first option off the bench, thus if something happens to Whit, Blythe comes in at LG and Boom shifts to LT and if something happens to Boom, Blythe comes in at RG.

I post about Edwards because I believe before his should injury last season, he would have been drafted much higher, was actually rated as a possible 1st round pick prior to 2018, however, the should injury and playing through it, hurt his draft stock as he gave up many pressures & sacks at RT....So now in preseason, we shall see how this plays out, there are also some interesting UDRFA's as well like Brandon HItner from Villanova.

10 Observations from Rams OTA No. 3

Rapp getting snaps with Johnson and Weddle, and Johnson taking on more of a leadership role, love it. I see Defensive Captain in Johnson's future, if not for the long list of leaders currently on the roster Johnson would already have a C on his chest.
Too bad he is too slow to make it as a starter in the NFL with only running a 40 between 4.6 - 4.7 range. Not sure why Snead keeps drafting all these slow safeties.

JJIII is in a great position here starting his third season with the Rams. He had a good dose of playing with former all-pro corner Talib & will have the opportunity to pair up with another former all-pro in safety Weddle. This should really help his game. JJ III was a defensive captain as starting free safety in college. JJ III had starting experience as cornerback and strong safety the first 3 yrs in college. Would not surprise me al all if he is the top safety in the NFL this season;).

Tornado Nearby....

Living in California earthquakes are the main concern for a natural disaster. But it happens so infrequently it never crosses my mind. Plus, I'm in a valley where there are no known faults. And I'm not in a wooded area where fires can be a concern.

I couldn't imagine going through it every year in places where tornadoes are frequent. Stay safe Loyal. Living in that area I'm sure you know more than me about what to do if one hits. I would think jumping in a tub and hanging on would be good if you don't have a shelter underneath.

Got some “what if’s” for y’all...

We really need these two, considering the Bears/Pats types of D everyone's going to be trying to throw at Goff. Plus we need our entire OL to stay healthy so it doesn't get downright ugly.

That's why the selection of Darrell Henderson was crucial, the Rams need to attack that defense with throwing to the RB out of the backfield, Chiefs capitalized on that with Damien Williams against New England and everyone will understand why when McVay rolls this out in 2019.

Game of Thrones: Season 8

In an effort to avoid fan theories and such, I stayed away from the internet while watching the final season. There were certainly a handful of things that made no sense to me, and I was disappointed by the very bland dialogue and stale writing, but I can't say I was upset by any means. I know it's not uncommon for great shows to end on a low note.

After reading a lot of the criticism out there, I've come to realize just how badly the writers butchered the final season. They squandered sooooooo much potential it makes me laugh inside just thinking about the public ridicule they will face for probably the rest of their careers. I hope for their sake they lack the "give a f*cks" that should come with transforming into a lifelong meme joke.

Weddle just gets it

Way he answers the questions, his outlook and experience... I've always respected him in his career particularly with the bolts but the more I hear from him the more I think he's going to have a big impact in our secondary:

Thanks so much for sharing this video session!! Was awesome. The videos went on right after another !!

Is Jo Jo Natson on the Bubble?

Bachman is fast, good length, good hands, with experience returning both KO and punts. If he shows anything in camps and TC he would be the one to keep over JoJo considering he's a much better WR prospect. Bachman's problems are experience and technique related. Like almost all rookies he needs to learn how to run routes at this level. If he can earn his keep as a kick returner than he's probably worth keeping on the 53 as he develops into a WR.

After watching Josh Reynolds, I think they should move him to TE. He's a long strider which is why he's a Y receiver anyway. Long striders are not as exposive off the snap as you want your outside WRs to be. As a TE he'd be covered by LB's and safeties. He's a size mismatch for safeties and a speed mismatch for most LBs.

Your thinking way outside the box with Josh Reynolds. He is having trouble just bulking up as a WR.

To think outside of the box though would be to think of The Rams new special team ace !!

I remember watching The Rams against the great Rod Woodson.I believe with the Vikings even ?? Going off memory.

Back in the day a lot of DB’s would return Kicks & Punts. Scott played RB at Penn St.
I think adding depth of game day is an added value. So Reynolds doesn’t play special teams. Now you have an offensive player from a defensive spot.

Food for thought, but this adds a fame day roster spot. Kromer use less O’lineman on game day as well.During the season though you never know where the injury bug may come from.

Post Draft Free Agents

Current Ram SIX OL'ers who have played center or has demonstrated they can.

Austin Blythe 26/4 - has started in the NFL @ center
Aaron Neary 26/2-has started in the NFL @ center
Brian Allen 22/2- has finished games in the NFL @ center
Jeremiah Kolone 24/2- started a full season @ OC for the XFL SD Fleet.
Brandon Hitner 24/R- long term starting OT in college but with off the chart smarts that scream center.
Vitas Hrynkiewicz 23/R-started 38 college gms @ OC.

I didn't count Neary and Colone. I don't think they have a shot. I wouldn't think an UDFA had a good shot either but a few here seem to like them both a lot.

Should NFL team roster increase from 53 to 63?

Find me a team last year who had 7 inactive players all hurt and unable to play.
This competitive balance angle is a theory. Why not have teams base their active roster size against their opponent? Team A has 52 healthy players, then team B can dress 52 players.
Team A only has 44 healthy players, then team B can only dress 44 players.
Seems silly to me.
Look at any Thursday game. Very few teams could dress 53 and at least teams have been unable to field 46. 53 vs 46 was an extreme example based on current gameday and active roster limits. The same principle applies if 1 team has 49 healthy players and the other has 51.

"Why not have teams base their active roster size against their opponent? Team A has 52 healthy players, then team B can dress 52 players.
Team A only has 44 healthy players, then team B can only dress 44 players."

I'm out.
