Thanks, but no need to relive that gut punch. The only good thing about that night was my chili. Nuttin else. So, thanks but no thanks.
While Young Gerald has always displayed great YAC skills and hands, his usage in Rams Head Coach Sean McVay’s system has seemingly prohibited his ascension more so than his talent. Will McVay employ more two-tight end sets in 2019, or has Everett’s blocking improved enough to supplant TE Tyler Higbee in the 11 personnel grouping? We’ll start to get some answers on Sunday in Week 1 when the Rams open their regular season against the Carolina Panthers.Los Angeles Rams: Gerald Everett, tight end
Everett was targeted just 48 times a season ago, and he caught 33 of those passes for 320 yards, three touchdowns and 144 yards after the catch en route to the fifth-best receiving grade among qualifying tight ends (79.7). Everett proved to be an absolute force with the ball in his hands last year (his broken tackle rate trailed only George Kittle, Vance McDonaldand David Njoku among tight ends), and you can bet your bottom dollar that Sean McVay has already come up with a plan to get Everett more involved in 2019.
Which blue team? The teal blue team or the natural blue team? Because I absolutely despise the teal blue team and their fans, and their players, and their coaches, and their front office, and everyone who is associated in any way of that team.
Excellent comments! Yes these draft picks & investments of time in UDFA have to turn into positives. Just based off what I have seen in preseason it looks like the Rams Org has it trending in the right direction. Rams appear to have had a few misses like DT Franklin-Myers/ ILB Kiser (4th rd. & 5th rd 2018 Draft) & possibly OLB Ebukam (4th rd Draft)Good to have the core secure.
An important part to this approach has been the OL.
Having guys ready to replace high cost FA like Saffold or a retiring key player like Whitworth is huge.
Projecting out a line of Edwards/Noteboom/Allen/Evans/Havenstein for next year makes sense and shows great planning.
I would expect the Rams to continue to draft a couple of OL per year for the next couple of years.
But replacing valuable OL with a young group that can be together for years is huge. Reminds me of what they have been able to do in NE and Pitts for years.
That said, the draft picks have to work.
The players have to be up to snuff.
Very, very interested to see how Noteboom and Allen fare in a pretty tough opening test in a few days.
I share your concern ... in Wade We Trust ... I guess.
I was expecting to see some wrinkles and changes for the Superbowl but uhhhhhh didn't happen. I hope he learned something for being so predictable. I'll believe it when I see it and I hope to see it
Correct Texas, but Durham he still is a Ram with a contract. JFM is not. Did you notice that Durham was playing the position that JFM played most last preseason.Durham didn’t make the 53, so doubt it was him.
But Fox and Obo and Patrick definitely showed more than Franklin.
I see things similarly.
I can only assume once they signed Hoyer, they felt they needed to bump the starter’s pay. But, boy... this assembly of QB’s is quite the gamble.
Glad I’m not a Colts fan to watch how that unfolds.
Happy for Hodge. He would hardly see play time under our current WR lineup. Dude is going to ball though. He deserves an actual roster spot not a PS spot.
I thought the same thing! Whew..
man you scared me. a quick glance at the headline made me think he was locked up in jail.

Yahoo has Gurley Ranked #33, hope the people in this league follow these rankings![]()
Shut your pie hole!Wolford to the Seacocks makes a ton of sense. Smaller, mobile, scrappy dude who has good accuracy.
IIRC the 2011 Rams had over 15 guys on IR so....How many players can teams put on IR?
