Dan Marino: I Could Throw for 6,000 Yards and 60 Touchdowns in Today's NFL

Look at the numbers he put up without the blessing of an elite receiving corps and an offense unaware of the coming aerial revolution. In his first full year of starting (1984) Marino threw for 5,064 yards and 48 touchdowns.

Like @Pancake pointed out Duper and Clayton were small WR's but they had some pro bowl trips early on in the Dolphins Marino era years.

Think of what kind of numbers The Dutchman could have put up with this logic. He threw for 400+ in some games in the 50s. That would be like 800 in today's game. He'd throw for 8,000 easy. And that would still be in a 12 game season. :blowme:

Otto Graham would average 22 YPA and win 15 titles in 10 years.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur has taken big steps since stint with Rams in 2017

I hope you're right Les about upsetting the 49ers, but I still think I would root for the Chiefs against the Packers, but I would love to view the same participants as Super Bowl I...

My dislike for the Chefs stems from a co-worker from a few years back that lied about me and stabbed me in the back time and time again. Ultimately it ended up costing me the job, even though I didn't like it ANYWAY I would have preferred to find other employment and then leave.

He and his wife were very friendly with the couple that owned the company so they took him at his word.

He was from KC and is a die hard fan, so I'm hoping he suffers what would be a crushing defeat for him.

Restructuring Goff's Contact Could Save $16.8 Million and Cap Space

Only reason why I gave you a "chill" rating is because of insulting a player. I get that Cooks is the new scapegoat, but that's still harsh. If you merely didn't include "choker", I'd be fine with your comment.
Not accurate imo to say he is a choker. Cooks has had several outstanding playoff performances where he really stepped up and consistent performances over regular seasons where he racked up lots of catches and yards. This year he was held back by concussions.

Most hated players from every team

Mine was Joe Montana, loved him as a player, he was so good I couldn't help it, but if there was ever a Ram Killer , it was him. He pulled more great off-cue plays out of his ass and absolute precision passing, i hated it when we played against him. Thank God his mobility became shit as he aged and even when they had their late 80's powerhouse teams, we were usually good for beating them at least once a year.

Honorable mention is Roger Craig, he had a 3 yr tear on us where he just killed us.

NFL Championship Sunday: Ranking four offensive play-callers

Wow ranking Shanahan over Reid, but I believe that is accurate, Shanahan has proven to be above the rest and I expect nothing less on Sunday against Packer DC Mike Pettine....Although I'm rooting for the bald guy in this one.

Arthur Smith of the Titans has been outstanding in the playoffs too, however, against the Chiefs, I believe he will have to open it up a bit because I just have a feeling the Chiefs and DC Steve Spagnuolo will stop the run as this is how I would rank the DC's in these contest as well.

  1. Robert Saleh (49ers)....Yes, unfortunately the Niners have the best DC as well and I was hoping Saleh would be a Head Coach, but no such luck. He will be in demand next season, but unless Aaron Rodgers finds it, I don't expect the Packer offense to do much because all they have is Davante Adams & looks for CB Richard Sherman to neutralize. him.
  2. Mike Pettine (Packers)....Again I don't expect the Packer defense to hold up in this game, but Pettine has don an excellent job this season and the Packer defense that was once Swiss Cheese is now Parmigiano-Reggiano every since the Smith's went to Lambeau.
  3. Dean Pees (Titans)...Pees ranks above Spagnuolo only because he works in concert with Head Coach Mike Vrabel, however, the Titan defense slap around Tom Brady and made the MVP of the League Lamar Jackson look ordinary.
  4. Steve Spagnuolo (Chiefs)....Former Ram Head Coach has worked wonders in Kansas City....They were a doormat of a defense under Bob Sutton and Spags in one year has transformed them into a respectable unit that will go a long way in proving his worth controlling OH HENRY!

Rams hire Brandon Staley as DC

Joe Barry turns down USC to remain with Rams

Joe Barry turned down an offer to become USC’s defensive coordinator to remain with the Rams, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN reports.

Barry reportedly interviewed for the Rams’ defensive coordinator position last week after the team parted ways with Wade Phillips. The Rams hired Broncos outside linebackers coach Brandon Staley as their new defensive coordinator.

Barry, though, has decided to stay on staff.

He has signed a new contract as the team’s associate head coach/linebackers coach, according to Thiry.

Barry has spent the past three seasons on the Rams’ coaching staff. He served as Washington’s defensive coordinator in 2015 and 2016 and also ran the defense for the Lions in 2007 and 2008.
