R.I.P Tiny ‘Deebo’ Lister

Yea they gave me those, I've actually had a cough for a solid three months now. I've tried the pearls. They switched my BP meds thinking it was an Ace inhibitor cough, even tho I've been on lucinipril for three years. And it hadnt gone away. Covid just made it worse. I just had a coughing fit about an hour ago, almost passed out. Shit started to get dark lol. Its always worse at night. I had hope for them pearls, but they didn't do shit. Glad they worked for you tho.
Sorry to hear it  Hope you find medication that works for you.

Had to put up with the same shit back in March. Hardly any coughing during the day, then at night couldn't stop. Frustrating as hell.

20 Random Running Down a Dream Thoughts

The Rams have five double digit wins and if we can beat the Jets on Sunday, should be 6 and might get to a point differential of +100.

2017 - +149
2018 - +144
2019 - +30

We had 7 double digit wins in 2017 and 2018.

Reflecting on this and looking back, our 2017 team was better than 2018 - that surprised me. But consider that we allowed the Niners to blow us out in week 17, otherwise our point differential could have been somewhere between 180-200 if we crushed them. Too bad we just weren't ready for the playoffs that year.

Anyway, it's awesome to be back near the top of the league. And doing it with defense more than offense shows how flexible McVay can be.

R.I.P. Chuck Yeager

Met Chuck years ago at the Oshkosh Air show. Well before "everyone" knew who he was. Had a great conversation about airplanes and flying. Couldn't tell you today what it was, but back then it mattered to me. In later years many found him to be unapproachable and condescending in his attitude. I think at times he just wanted to be left alone. One of the few famous people I met there.

Can Akers reach 1,000 yards?

No chance. McVay isn't going to run Akers into the ground before the playoffs. But he'll have 1000+ yard rushing seasons for us in the future. The Cardinals, Jets, and Seahawks are very vulnerable to passing attacks. Akers will get carries, but there's no reason not to let Goff have a little fun in these games.

Goff will still win the Rams some more games this season.

Gurley Returns to SoFi.

I certainly loved watching TG in horns when he was tearing up the league. But like with many players, time moves on and can be a cruel mistress.

But seriously Todd? “I helped create that stadium,” he said, “so why not try to go out there and try to do damage?” How in THE fuck did you help build that stadium? Like it wouldn't have happened without you? Because you visited the site during construction?

Sorry but this kind of a quote is just an example of ME ME ME. I just lost a lot of respect for a Ram player I really like.
Lol we all know Stan paid for it etc etc etc. But

Does Stan run the ball, risk his health, make the AWESOME plays and on it goes.

Without the Players, imho the NFL isn't S $#$. Players have brain injury, committed suicide etc etc. Players have built the Stadiums imho.

Gurley had a bad knee in College, still came out and played his Ass off,3 PBowls, never ducked hid or ran to the sidelines.

And you want to bust his Ass for a few quotes ?

No disrespects, I'll take all the games and effort he showed again and again.

PREGAME Pregame Thread: Patriots at Rams

Patriots vs. Rams line, prediction: New England the pick (nypost.com)
Patriots vs. Rams prediction, line: New England on the rise

This week’s “Thursday Night Football” game (8:20 p.m., Fox) gives us two playoff contenders with the Patriots visiting the Rams.

A month ago, this matchup didn’t look as appealing — as the Patriots struggled to start off the post-Brady era at 2-5 and well out of the AFC playoff race. But they’ve rebounded by winning four of their past five games to get back to .500 at 6-6 and on the cusp of a wild-card berth after routing the Chargers, 45-0, this past Sunday.

That last result certainly helped the Patriots improve their scoring average to 22.8 points per game — the Cam Newton RPO-style offense is still a far cry from the efficient passing game of Tom Brady — and reduce their scoring defense to 21.2 points per game.

The Rams have a more balanced team with Jared Goff spreading the ball around to a strong supporting cast of receivers and a complementary running game, though they’re averaging just 93 yards per game. The Rams are averaging 25.1 points per game while allowing just 20.2 with a defense led by defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

The Rams are the better overall team, but that isn’t always the best way to bet. The point spread has been as high as Rams -6 and has been bet down to 5. We believe the early money has been on the right side, as the line shouldn’t be this high between these two teams.

If we take the scoring averages, this comes to about Rams 23, Patriots 21.5, or Rams -1.5. And it’s not like we should be assigning anything for home-field advantage in this season with little or no fans in the stands — NFL road teams actually lead 99-90-2 against the spread on the season while home teams are only ahead 96-94-1 straight-up through 13 weeks.

Besides, the Rams lost at home to the 49ers two weeks ago and also failed to cover in a 17-9 home win vs. the Giants earlier this season, so it’s not like they’re always dominant on their new home turf.

The Patriots look like the play at anything more than a field goal. Both teams are 8-4 with the Under this season, but the total has already been shaded a little low by today’s NFL standards at 45 points, so that looks like a coin-flip.

The play: Patriots +5.5.

Um... can I still take this bet?

Article: Jared Goff is ready to fight

McVay has been good for Goff IMO - just compare his development under Fisher vs now :D. Of course it's important for this duo to continue to improve and develop Goff to have even more control over the offence.
I keep picturing a point to where Goff/McVay will mature into a Brees/Peyton kind of
mind meld. Only difference being, Snead will continually Keep this team stocked
with talent on both sides of the ball.Saints have not always had that.

MNF: Bills at 49’ers

Well without a first rounder can they get somebody like that, they’ve got too much money in the wr position to bring in a FA. McVay needs his wrs to be physical and block, that’s something Cooks didn’t offer and his results were mixed, would they even bring in a burner type? Woods and Kupp are basically the same guy, that’s their strength and weakness. You don’t know who to focus on but they aren’t going to embarrass your db’s either.

The Rams I believe have a couple burners on the Practice squad.

Reynolds is GONE!! The played so bad against the Niners & then again this last week.

Will see how he basically takes the benching. Reynolds had been getting most of the snaps, but then this last game Jefferson got the call & played well.

I think you’ll see Cam Akers & Van Jefferson really grow up fast this 2nd half of the season.

I really don’t think NFL(Ram) Fans understand what it takes to be a NFL player. Add rookie season without a pandemic.

I actually have a take about The Rams,Jared Goff,Mcvay, & The Rams offense. My believe was that would have been an advantage not having an off season.
