I think we have a very good OL coach who has those 2nd and 3rd units executing. Thus the offense is watchable in preseason. A few yrs ago the back up OL groups were horrrible. So probably improved talent, but also better coaching that is now taking hold in year two of this guys tenure.
Completely agree. The 2nd OL unit looked really in sync! Lot of credit to the coaching staff there.

Somebody is feeling dramatic. Feverish disrespect for spelling McClendon with an "a" rather than an "o"?

I agree ... the "o" vs. "a" is nothing but that poster does have a habit of butchering names of Rams' players.

Just the past couple days, Nick Hampton has repeatedly been referred to as "Mick" Hampton
... reportedly, greatly upsetting Nick / Mick's mom.

And just today, undrafted rookie free agent Willie Lampkin (a new ROD favorite) has been called "Lumpkins" ... again, in multiple posts.

I laughed when I saw Lumpkin earlier

I'm not a cap expert, but those who are more knowledgeable in such matters may be able to explain what happens if we get Shelton to educate Limmer and Lampkin, and then cut him.

Would it have a negative effect upon our finances?

Just keep 60 players on the roster! What's the NFL gonna do about it...fine us?

Reeder should be cut. We don't need LBs that make tackles 5 yds up field at minimum lol
Unfortunately the reality is it isn't our call and they keep him season after season. is this the season they cut ties? who knows but history shows he will be 1 of the 4 likely to be kept. That leaves someone outside looking in.

I wouldn't say that its certain Reeder makes the team. There is just too much time left, too many practices left, and the unknown feelings of our coaching staff on all our players to predict that. I know we don't make any calls but I pray we get rid of him. We can and are already doing better.

Neither would or am I but he has history with the team. All of us want that position upgraded. I just don't know if he will go from starter to outside looking in.

Borderline. Reeder is merely below average as a starter. He is decent depth and a good ST player.
But he has only been signed by the Rams and Staley lead Chargers. His value is that he knows the Rams system and the Rams know him. If they cut him, the chances that anybody would pick him up are slim and none.

Rozeboom was more athletic than Reeder but also a below average starting ILB. He’s now listed as a starting ILB for the Panthers. So I could see Reeder being picked up by a desperate team.
Regarding Dolac - It may take a year for him to acclimate. And I don’t see the Rams keeping 5 ILBs. so its down to Reeders low ceiling or Dolac lower floor (to start the season). My vote is Dolac.

Practice squad (at best) is a no brainer then......if they want to keep him. They try to put Dolac on the PS, somebody might grab him. They try to put Pooh Paul on the PS, somebody might grab him. Keep those 2 on the 53 and put Reeder on the PS if they absolutely have to keep him. Because nobody is going to grab him.
