The TTM was in full effect in the 1st half. Then Matt Stafford decided to show up in the 2nd half. What a difference.

I'm not sure what McVay's issue is in the 1st halves. But he can't have the offense putting the Rams in holes every game.

It's the protections. Every time Stafford starts a game and gets instant pressure he goes into that self preservation mode and our offense looks like dog shit. Then by the third quarter it feels like they improve it a bit and/or Stafford says fuck it and does what he has to do.

The dude is old and trying to preserve himself, as he should, he's already streaky as it is. So I think the focus has to be on starting games with good protections. There is still way too much disconnect there. And we're never gonna know where the disconnect is. I mean is it the gameplanning is shit? Or is it that our rook Center is fucking up and Stafford's getting thrown off his game. The protections are ultimately on the QB but to some extent he's gonna need help from that Center up front.

If they cannot figure that out then maybe start playing Jimmy first half and Stafford second half. That shit would piss Matt off I am sure, but they need to find a way to get some first half production.

Ithink we need to report for pregame workouts about 30 minutes early. 16 rookies on the roster shows every once in a while and usually in the 1st half.

We were never a Superbowl contender. But most had us pegged as a legit playoff team. Right now we're a borderline playoff team.

Seattle has games remaining against AZ, GB, MN and us. I'd say the have they toughest remaining schedule. The also have the Bears.

AZ has games left against Seattle, New England, Carolina, Rams and 49ers. Probably the easiest remaining schedule.

SF has games left against Buffalo, Bears, Rams, Dolphins and Lions. If they lose tonight they would have to sweep the next 3 if they want to avoid a losing season. I don't see them beating the Lions. Of course, if Detroit clinches first seed before the last game the 49ers could be facing them without most starters. So who knows?

We have the Bills, 49ers, Jets, Cardinals and Seahawks. Assuming we lose to the Bills the rest are winnable. Problem is, we are also beatable so who knows? We're certainly capable of winning the last 4. But it will take more from us than what we saw today.

Corum looked great for his part. Nothing against Williams, but this back field needs to be more of a time share.

Great bounce back game from Robinson as well post-DUI.

Whittington looks great on kick off returns.

Entire offense looked good 2nd half. I continue to love this team's halftime adjustments. But hate how awful we are in Q1. Easily the worst Q1 team in the league in point differential. That is in large part on coaching. On both sides of the ball. What are you studying during the week? Scheming up? Scripting? Not good...

Seemingly no injuries is huge.

Offense comes to life in 2nd half.

Bend but don't break defense hangs on at the end.

Hopes for the season are still alive.
 
O Line needs to be better for the whole game. I believe McVay should be run heavy to start games. I think he likes to test coverage early to see how defenses are playing. Hopefully he'll start the bills game with runs.

At the end of another week. We are still alive! Celebrate! We are getting a little better, just still ironing out the rookies and healing the vets.

Victory vent: I wish they had tried a FG 4th and 4 in the first half instead of going for it (and failing). It's not like the NO offense was going to blow us out and we needed to keep up. Late in the 4th Q I'm thinking, 24-14 would have felt better than 21-14.

However, a good game by the D despite the early run woes. Too bad on the "fumble" scoop by Fiske run back for a TD didn't count.

What's up with Kupp? Odd usage of him.

Someone give Demarcus Robinson a ride home tonight.

Still alive for another week!
