Looks like Stafford is done.. sucks. At least we could watch Stafford Kupp and Nakua. Now what? Not shit to watch. What a damn bummer. The Super Bowl was great… since then? obvious garbage. Im football sad.

Has it been confirmed Stafford is done? Or are you taking McVay's "it doesn't look good" comment and running with it?

In any event I doubt he plays next week then the bye comes after. We need to start looking for his replacement because he's getting injured each season since the Super Bowl. Rypien isn't that guy, wouldn't even call him serviceable.

People are assuming.
But McVay after the game, plus the way it played out... makes it look bad.

This would gave been a good time to get a highly-drafted rookie QB in for some much need experience and to see what he's got. Kind of a shame, really. Just a big opportunity lost.

This is a very good draft class for QBs. If Stafford does not play again in 2023-24, it would be a good year to draft one IMO. I could conceivably seeing the Rams not winning another game if Stafford is out all year. 3 wins would give us a good shot at a QB. Then let him sit behind #9 for a year and learn. I really do think young QBs benefit from that, if they can get the chance/luxury.

Any time McVay says anything other than "he's fine" means there's a legitimate cause for concern. And I get a thumb injury has a very wide spectrum with respect to what exactly it is but...this is not good at all.

If Stafford is done for significant time we can't just role with Rypien. Colt McCoy is still a free agent. We need to be on the phone with multiple teams tonight and inquiring about their backup QBs

Jacked it up on a 2 point conversion when we were down something like 30 points too. Could have just let our kicker get some experience with the try.
I can see that making more sense.
McVay could have also jacked up the whole team with a winning attitude if they came back and made it close or even won.

Well.... here's something to think about. As bad as we played today, SF is losing at halftime and the Squawks are only a FG up on Clev. It's actually possible for us only being a game out of 1st. McCoy (or Wentz or Matt Ryan) would give us an opportunity to get things back on schedule (providing of course if Stafford is "done"). Just a thought, but we must move quickly as Cousins is rumored to have a blown out Achilles and Taylor went down today. So w/ Jones coming back next week would still need a solid 2nd string QB. (one would think..... w/ as injury prone as Jones is....).

The Rams number one task in the off season was to put together an offensive line that could protect Stafford. They tried but they obviously failed. I say they have one more season to get it right because after next year Stafford is done if they don't.
