That is Biggis Dickis.
Looks like Reeder is an insurance signing/ camp depth with only $75k guaranteed dead $$. Similar to Landman. So these 2 vets have a chance to make the 53 man roster but if they cannot it’s an easy bye bye out. I’m gonna let it play out but there is a possibility Reeder is a top 4 ILB and makes the cut. For my own sanity I’m gonna believe the Rams conclude he’s their 4th best or lower option. However that’s reliant but on the draft or any additional free agent pick ups.

That is Biggis Dickis.

I hate players who are god awful in every single attribute and dont just NOT help the team, but hurt them. The fact that he doesn’t have enough sense to realize he’s not good enough to play in the NFL is what makes me hate him. Isn’t he embarrassed? Missing every tackle and assignment every game?

This is a completely asinine and silly move. Theres is nothing good that can come from it. Not even ST.
thats some pretty amazing hyperbole...

Pull up the tape and tell me how I’m wrong then.
Someone posted a highlight reel above.

You said he missed "every assignment in every game". - which is hyperbole, no team would sign a guy who missed "every play in every game."

I think you didn't know what hyperbole is by your response of "watch the tape."

I typically don't focus too much on Reeder when he is playing but I recall him being hit or miss. He might guess and make some great plays then turn around and get burnt on a complete whiff. He might be a decent role player but definitely not starting material, IMO.

We either need to draft his replacement or get a F/A. The ex-Falcon guy will be a good 2-down backer. But we really need a 3-down backer w/ brains to complement Speights, who should be going NOWHERE--man that kid really helped turn our D around last season. But we still need a true 3-down ILB.

Special teams guy and nothing more.
I think he will be starting to begin the season.

I’ve been listening to two guys talk about how difficult it is for college linebackers to transition to the NFL. Even some of the inside linebackers drafted early didn’t start right away to begin the season because what they are required to do in the NFL is much harder than what they do in college. There is a lot more projection involved and even more coaching to get them ready to play. So even if the Rams draft one early and he’s physically more gifted than Reeder, it’s not likely he will have the defense and all of his responsibilities down by the start of the season.

Well, it's been reported that the Rams were serious and intentional about improving the run defense. If so, I've gotta believe that Reeder is behind Speights and Landman. Both of those guys are vets that are better run defenders than Reeder.

I hope you are right. We are all familiar with Reeders negatives. Maybe Landman has had enough snaps to bump Reeder to third string. But, I didn’t think Landman was ever a full time a starter.

He was a full time starter in 2023 and had the 3rd most run stops in the league. Then Raheem Morris changed the defense in 2024 and he fell out of favor with the new scheme.

He's got some serious run stopping ability. Reeder is another body just so we have a safe floor.

That's because Raheem is allergic to defenders making plays.

Amiright @kupped?

.

I think Reeder was brought back for depth. I don't believe mcSnead wants him starting but it might be nice having him on the bench in case someone gets hurt. I get the hate but he has made some plays for us. Again.... just depth.
This.

Go get Nick Martin late to pair with Speights and let's go.

Or if they address it earlier that is fine too.

Don’t the Rams run the same system essentially?

I hope you are right because, this linebacker class is not good. Even the top two guys have serious limitations.

He may have lucked into being in the right place at the right time but otherwise hes missing tackles or making them 5 yards beyond the LOS. Thats not a hyperbole. He doesn’t know what he’s doing out there.

I disagree, and think Reeder know the NFL game well.she can & does get picked on at times.

"she"
Kind of appropriate.
Dude is a depth signing and I can not imagine the Rams not going into this draft without the idea of finding a young player to take that starting spot.

I'm pretty sure Nate Landman and Speights as the starters is the plan.
I do expect to see a mid round project for sure however.
