Sure Noteboom took some penalties and hasn't been good, but the offense has been bad for three games in a row and he wasn't playing in all of them. Here's to hoping the offense is there when it counts (I think it will be)
In the first 2 games the running game was working. Yesterday not so much.

He did kill three drives with penalties. The offense isn’t great but with so few opportunities and opponents chewing so much clock, every drive gets even more important. So three penalties are a bigger deal than in games where the offense has more opportunities.

In a way, the defensive scheme is also to blame because it keeps the offense off the field. But it’s hard to argue with low points allowed. I’d prefer not to give up big cushions. It works for the D but hurts the O.
The fact that one penalty kills a drive is not Noteboom's fault. That speaks to bigger issues.

How many 1st or 2nd and 20s did Arizona convert yesterday? It was several. So why do we accept that a Rams 1st or 2nd and long means the drive is killed?

The fact that Noteboom’s guy was constantly pressuring Stafford and had to be in his head rushing throws also affected the offense.

Was it all on Noteboom? No. But he had a very big impact.

Rams might need to draft two tackles in the draft if they do not extend Jackson, but if they do extend him, then I still would draft two. Need a replacement RT for Havenstein and a swing tackle too.
I think what drives the offseason OT strategy will be the status of Matthew Stafford. And to go a step further how he performs in the playoffs will likely factor in there as well.

If the Rams elect to stay with Stafford as QB1 then they will keep both Jackson & Havenstein and draft a swing OT. This is because to do more than that is not the most efficient use of their resources to maximize a title run.

If the Rams elect to move on from Stafford as QB1 then a deeper approach on offense is likely. In other words then they may not pay Jackson and instead try to tag & trade him and/or move up to take a LT, as well as possibly Hav's replacement in rounds 3/4. This is because OTs require time to settle in and they might miss on one or both of them, so only way this happens is if they elect to blow up the offense starting with the QB1 spot.

Now I suppose it's also possible Stafford retires or whatever and the Rams chase another QB like say Darnold. But the OTs will follow the QB certainty. Which is to say if they were to add Darnold after Stafford retires it would be the same as making a run with Stafford in that they would be unlikely to blow up the tackle spots for fear of fucking their ability to contend.

And yet in his 1 start the Rams O has scored as many TD's as it did the previous 2 weeks combined. Sounds like Boom helped the O.

We are going to the playoffs tonight!!!!!!!!!!

That’s ridiculous.
Boom played terrible and was a liability.
I get it that we need to chill on the “name calling” but let’s at least have some integrity with our “homerism”
