When the game tapes are watched it will show Noteboom blocking his ass off downfield for KW on more than one play. The big guy can move. Is he Havenstein? no but they won and that's all that counts with me.
Now lets go Washington so the Rams can rest some guys next week.

That’s ridiculous.
Boom played terrible and was a liability.
I get it that we need to chill on the “name calling” but let’s at least have some integrity with our “homerism”
I do love it when people don't read what I say.

My comment in the chat room went something along the lines of:

I'll call anybody a liar who says Boom never put any good games/tape out there starting for the Rams. But now when he's rarely healthy he's just not good and hopefully this game is his last in a Rams uniform.
I'm no homer, strange that a homer wants the guy to never play for the team anymore. Take your integrity and read comments before replying next time ok? My comment you quoted was saying that he's bad and yet the team scored as many points in 1 game of him starting as it did in the previous 2 games so obviously he's not the problem with the offense that lies deeper.

Did you not say “And yet in his 1 start the Rams O has scored as many TD's as it did the previous 2 weeks combined. Sounds like Boom helped the O.”

If you didn’t say it, then somebody is posting with your name

The fact that Noteboom’s guy was constantly pressuring Stafford and had to be in his head rushing throws also affected the offense.

Was it all on Noteboom? No. But he had a very big impact.
So what's the excuse for the previous 8 games?

With the exception of the Bills game, the offense is averaging 18 per game. Noteboom has only played in one of them.

The 49ers game was during a storm. The Jets game was freezing.

This was a home game after the team was finally at full strength and had a few good games to get back on track.

If you want to love on Noteboom go ahead. I’m not buying it. He was bad and Stafford was under duress on nearly every pass play because of the RT.

I already said that Noteboom wasn’t solely to blame but he played a big part. Stafford was rushing his throws. When he does that he looks for his first and second reads, which are usually Puka and Kupp. He doesn’t have time to survey the field.

Really? You're gonna go game by game and make an excuse for the offense?

Yes, there were 2 bad weather games and one NB game. But the team has been fully healthy for 8 games, dating back to the Miami game. We've been at full strength for a while.

The offense has averaged 21.5 points over that 8 game span and 18 per game when you take out the obvious outlier Bills game.

This is not about loving on Noteboom. It's pointing out that the issues on offense go far beyond weather or one awful o'lineman.

You think the Oline coming back healthy means that they are instantly gelled like midseason form? You know better than that.

I agree the offense has been stagnant. Part of it is also the way teams have used the short passing game and took advantage of the soft coverage that the Rams defense plays. It’s hard for the offense to get into a rhythm when the opponents have the ball most of the time.

I don’t even know why you are arguing this. We were talking about one game. This last game and why did Stafford look off. It’s because he was under a lot of pressure from the Catdinald pass rush, and most of the pressure was from his right side. It was nearly ever pass rep.

You seem angry that people here don’t think Noteboom played well. If you think he did play well, then I don’t see a point in arguing about it. Feel free to think what you want. I think he played poorly.

They lack speed and big play ability. They get few big chunk plays and 2 or 3 play scoring drives. It's not a mystery

I've said numerous times that Noteboom had an awful game.

It's a pet peeve when complex issues are reduced to the most recent convenient excuse. I don't buy that Stafford looked off solely because of Noteboom. Stafford has looked off nearly every game this season except for one or two games. In the first half of the season it was understandable b/c the OL was in tatters. Then the OL regained full health and he's still looked off the majority of games.

The excuses are annoying because they're covering up real problems.

A. The RAMS WON this game -- and now we can rest starters in week 18??? incredible run. Major props to the new-born D. Hey, if D wins games, I won't sneeze at that. Timely sacks, stuffs on 4th & 1, INT's, I'll take that all the way to the playoffs, thank you.
B. This is a MAJOR development -- if the City of LA gets behind the Rams, keeps packing SoFi, and we can HOST a game or 2 in the playoffs?? we'll go all the way. I don't think LA has played a game with this many home fans in attendance yet. Players play harder when they know their whole city is behind them.
