Yeah, a broken bone in the neck can be a career ender. Two kids on our high school baseball team both ended up with cracked vertebrae. Neither was the same afterwards. One was highly recruiting but ended up at Slippwry Ro k as the fifth string catcher. The other was the best player on the team the following year and ended up being the worst the following year after the broken bone. Both told my son that there is not way to heal it without surgery and screws and a plate.

I look at the picture, focus on the mirror, and see a bone where it shouldn't be. I'm not doctor, but that ain't right!
