My biggest concern is the fact that I've failed to see, in 5 offseasons with Jeff Fisher at the helm, the Rams able to draft and develop any offensive skill-position players. The road is littered with RBs and WRs with "potential" that are no longer on the team. Why should I be confident that the QB position is any different?

I had my doubts about Goff before the draft and he has not done anything to remove those doubts. Many here touted that he was the most pro ready qb in the draft and that was obviously wrong, there have been very very few qbs that played in the air raid system that have been successful in the nfl... And now we start the season with Keenum and a muted offense once again. I hope im wrong

Right, and the guy you wanted tore it up this preseason...

oh wait

He's injured again (after missing 8 games last year, while his team with his backup went 8-0)

Bradford looked much better in his first pre season with a less talented team...
Proof that preseason is meaningless. We were all sure we had our guy based on that preseason lol

I don't think you tried nearly hard enough. You could have made this post waaay more negative. Maybe add a pic of Fisher, Snead and Kronke. :cautious:
This is realistic brother, I think all of us are disappointed in Goff's preseason debut. :(
Go check out TurfShowTimes.com if you're looking for negativity.

I'm going to keep in mind the fact that there was No Guuuurley, or Tavon Austin in this Final game. and a lot of Defensive Starters never saw the Field, and some O-Line starters too!! that had some effect!JMO

Eli Manning year one in bold. Horrible numbers.

Didn't he win Offensive Rookie of the Year? On a Spags team?

And Sam was our guy. Fisher just chose to go D instead of fielding competent talent around Sam, put him in garbage systems, and stunted his growth.

I see the same thing happening with Goff. Man needs to go.

Petyon Manning threw 28 INT's and his team won 3 games his rookie year.. He turned out ok.

Give the kid time. NO #1 pick that is a QB was great day 1. If you can find otherwise, please post it.
Preach! I personally think we made the decision of our #1 QB the day we traded up. Play him and give him the experience. The fumbles and trip ups will go away, that's just technique stuff. He will make mistakes, but we have to ride or die with the QB we traded up to get. Period.

Lol...all the Went

Yeah we should have listened to you banging the drum for Dak Prescott...oh wait. You said Carson Wentz was the most pro ready qb...that was obviously wrong.

The indirect i told ya so's are getting old. Just because you add "I hope I'm wrong" in the end doesn't change what you've written. Especially considering you've taken the slightest opportunity (a mixed bag of preseason results playing with backups) to try and say "see I was right" sure doesn't sound like someone who hopes they're wrong.

Give the Kid some freaking time...

I do hope for the teams sake that I am wrong because if I'm right we are in for several more years of crappy football.

Also I will admit that thus far I was completely wrong about Prescott, I didn't think he had a snowballs chance to ever be a good nfl QB. That could all change come the regular season. but that's the thing with Goff, its only going to get harder from here not easier, the preseason is much easier than the regular season. And if Goff really is the 3rd QB how is he supposed to improve during the season to become the starter?

IMO he's going to need time. Just for a moment place yourself in his shoes. First, he went from not having to call an offensive play call, or very seldom, in college, to having to ramble off a paragraph long play. As we've seen on Hark Knocks, it has been extremely difficult for him to process at times. So, now he has to think even more about the play, not to mention, having to make sure guys are lined up correctly, making o-line calls, pre-snap read of the defense, etc. When he has to think more, everything gets magnified that much more and his read/reaction time is messed up. I'm as frustrated as most that he should be showing more at this point, but I also thought he had a huge learning curve coming in. Give the kid time. I'm sure his head is spinning constantly trying to process everything. The worst thing we can do right now is force him into the starting role when he can't comprehend what's going on around him. His playbook should be scaled down until he masters it then add more as he shows he can handle it. But, he needs to continue getting reps with the first unit so he can build his confidence.

The same can be said about the vikings though hell they didnt plany ANY starters on offense or Defense that Kenny Britt touchdown was against a rookie

I'm tired of people saying, "He's a rookie playing like a rookie." He's the #1 PICK IN THE DRAFT. They gave up a crap load to move up to get this guy, while the likes of Dak Prescott, a 4th round pick for the Cowboys, is tearing it up. I don't know who's to blame, but I'm tired of the sugar-coating. A #1 overall pick should not be playing this bad.

I think this idea the Dak is heading for the Hall of Fame is a little Premature. You hear this every year from Ram fans. Colin Krappernick, Josh Freeman, everybody was saying how great he was. Every year there are quarterbacks who flash and then fade. I'm kinda glad he didn't come out flashing and then fade away. We'll see what happens, but I'm still very optimistic that this was a good trade for the long haul. In the meantime, we'll be over .500 with Case.

Yep, because OROY is guarantee for the HOF!!

Practice.

Not real games.

We are talking PRACTICE.

practice games with practice squad Wr's and lineman.

NOT real games with REAL gameday starters.

Practice. Where coaches are trying to get backups reps to see if they can catch a ball or block and POSSIBLY make the roster as a backup.

PRACTICE. And you all want to judge the performance like its a real game with real gameday starters with real gameday strategy.

PRACTICE.
