I believe that that the entire skill position group needs rebuilt/shuffled. Nacua being the foundation.
I seriously doubt this can be done in one offseason.

Nacua and Whittington return. Find speed + decent size + explosives to add to the room.

Blow up the TE room. Idk the financials on Higbee. He’s my TE2 at this stage. Draft a guy who demands some attention beyond 5 yards.

Blow up the RB room. Kyren is my RB2 or possibly Blake if there’s a market for Kyren. A killer weapon needed here.

We need to get back to having a couple scary weapons on offense. This entire group was a tough and physical but plodding group who couldn’t run away from anyone.

I’m sure McVay and company know this. It’s not a revelation nor is my post.
Agree with most all of this... but tight end is a tough position to learn so I would commit to Higbee for 1 more year and draft his replacement this year.

As far as running back goes... I'm sure Snead and Mcvay realize that if they signed Saquan Barclay instead if Jonah Jackson or Parkinson they probably would have won the super bowl this year. But again... who knows?

I actually hope it's the opposite. We've got an aging QB. I'd like an offense that's ready to go now. I'd rather get a receiver in free agency and use the draft for defensive line and corner.

McVay was rumored to have tried to move up for a TE two years ago, and we know he tried last year in the draft. Now he's got a loaded TE group that should provide an option at 26 or after a trade down if that is preferred. So I think TE has a very good chance to be the pick early.

Higs is the inline TE this year. By next year Allen may be capable of that, and he can then play on his rookie deal as a FA year in 2026. So if they can hit on a TE here they will be in good shape.

The X spot might be tougher to get done. Maybe they go that route earlier for that reason idk. But it would have to line up for them. And honestly I think the key to this offense is the slot role. Get that going and everything else falls into place. They could also run more 12 sets if they actually had a TE duo that warrants it, which Higs and a plus pass game rook would qualify as.

I am ok with them taking a shot on a smaller X provided he's got a dog attitude and is aggressive to the ball. All their whiffs have passivity in common when it comes to going after the ball. Guys who want to wait it in are not fits for Stafford. So round 3 could net us both a swing OT with good feet, and maybe an X wideout if we're lucky. And that's not considering a move down.

If they move Kupp quickly and get the money sorted then I could see them surprising with Higgins because he plugs right in. Given their issues finding an X gotta say he makes a ton of sense. But so does Reed so we'll see what they do. Either way if they can get the slot sorted this offense will be good, so from there build the shit out of the defense and we're a legit contender.

Jack Bech from TCU just screams Rams WR. Although I think we need more speed (Bech dont give you that) I think he could be a guy to replace Kupp when his time is up.
I assume many know that his brother was killed in that New Orleans terror attack. His brother, Tiger Bech, played at Princeton and was teammates with a kid my son played baseball with in littke league, Ryan Quigley. They were both in New Orleans, the kid my son knew, he was hurt, but survived with a broken leg and some other injuries.

So this Bech kid is dealing with a lot, and yet still performing. Very impressive kid.

Ryan Quigly is going back to New Orleans this week as a guest of the Eagles. A nice story considering the horrific event that did occur.

Has to be.

I imagine we double-dip at wide receiver and possibly tight end if we're cutting Parkinson, letting Long go, and Higbee having only a year left on his contract and being injured. Then you have a backup running back to possibly take K-Will's place. Then there's the possible heir-apparent to Stafford. And then you have the whole thing questioning about Havenstein and how he's going to be moving forward.

I think - or, rather, I hope - we'll spend a lot of money defensively in free agency and let the offense be the young, unproven, and underrated part of this team.

This draft be the deepest ever at RB. There are probably 15 guys who could be viable starting backs in the NFL. Lets snag one of them late and grab a WR or OT early.

I doubt he will still be available but Burden would be the perfect slot WR for this offense and would instantly make it much more explosive.

reading these posts it's pretty eye opening how far we are from getting to the next level(Superbowl). almost feels like 2026 It might all come together, but who's our QB? who's on the line on offense, tight end? speedy receivers, breakaway RB, DL run stopper, ILB , CB . to name a few. gonna find out, just have to wait...

We were 10 yards away from beating Philly. It doesn't seem that we're far away to me.

I think McVay wants to avoid the situation where key players are injured to start the season as has been the case lately. He wants to be more diverse and less reliant on one personnel group. Makes sense.
