Agree with most all of this... but tight end is a tough position to learn so I would commit to Higbee for 1 more year and draft his replacement this year.I believe that that the entire skill position group needs rebuilt/shuffled. Nacua being the foundation.
I seriously doubt this can be done in one offseason.
Nacua and Whittington return. Find speed + decent size + explosives to add to the room.
Blow up the TE room. Idk the financials on Higbee. He’s my TE2 at this stage. Draft a guy who demands some attention beyond 5 yards.
Blow up the RB room. Kyren is my RB2 or possibly Blake if there’s a market for Kyren. A killer weapon needed here.
We need to get back to having a couple scary weapons on offense. This entire group was a tough and physical but plodding group who couldn’t run away from anyone.
I’m sure McVay and company know this. It’s not a revelation nor is my post.
As far as running back goes... I'm sure Snead and Mcvay realize that if they signed Saquan Barclay instead if Jonah Jackson or Parkinson they probably would have won the super bowl this year. But again... who knows?
