You guys see how we lost again last Sunday night to the Pats? Ouch another tough loss. I hope you guys thrash Seattle. We hate Seattle a lot. You guys think we should fire McCarthy?
I work with a Packers fan who loathes McCarthy, especially after cutting Jermaine Whitehead on Tuesday. Personally, I think the Packs problems are due more to the lack of impact players acquired through the draft and free agency over the last few years. Maybe part of that is on McCarthy.

Thanks man. Though I kinda like the Packers, I have to admit not paying enough attention to them to have an opinion on McCarthy.

I think we ALL share your hatred for the shecocks. Most of their fans are front running douches too.

McCarthy being fired after the season to me seems like it’s going to happen. I wouldn’t say the Packers problems are all his fault but those things usually cost a coach his job. Couple that with going after a fresh Young OC type kind is the hot thing to do and we very likely will see him gone. I’d personally look for DeFillipo not only is it a hot name but it hurts a division rival. Not sure how he does but it makes a lot of sense.

They might.. but it's really not his issue imo.

They have trouble drawing free agents and their roster is below average as a whole.

He should go. He has had Rodgers for how many years?! 10 years should have more SB appearances.

I actually think your current roster is much more talented than the record shows.

I'm the opposite of Boston - I don't think the Packers roster is all that great outside of Rodgers.

The offense and defense combined to play probably their best game of the year against the Rams, coming off a bye - I don't think that's a coincidence. Rodgers and McCarthy have proven to be very good after a bye - so if we remove that game....this season has been a massive disappointment. All the way around. IMO McCarthy has to go, because he's part of the issue with the roster too.

Depending on how the season ends and the record, it may be time to get a new coach. I haven't been terribly impressed by the play calling and the defense hasn't been great the last few weeks either.

McCarthy's problem is he kept Dom Capers on way too long. He destroyed that defense single-handedly

I guess the question is to me, if the HC is average or better, is it a liability to have a great QB on a mega-contract? The Patriots are an outlier because Brady has regularly taken less for the team. How about the rest? Aaron Rodgers is undeniably great, but there are few other players on the Packers who are great. RW is on a depleted Hawks teams since their Super Bowl, and the team is 4-4 this year.

Do teams with a great QB have to have a GREAT GM who can find lower round gems in the draft?

YEah, AR's huge contract is a BIG part of the problem IMO. You simply do not have the $ to pay enough top free agents and lets be honest....FA's may take a little less to play with AR, but they aren;t flocking to the cold of Wisconsin either. All that said, I think McCarthy is an average coach at this point. Still living off of his SB win.....kinda like Harbaugh. Marvin Lewis on the other hand.....definitely has donkey show pics of someone high up in the Bungle FO......

IMO they should fire whomever is picking the talent in the draft. They have lost some talent over the last few years and haven't replaced it very effectively.

You can't blame the HC for a GM that is under performing.

McCarthy wasted Rodgers's prime trying to make it work with Dom Capers managing the defense. That Super Bowl run was impressive but he was insane to hold him for that long.

Hey there Packsfan! Thanks for stopping by! Yes for sure we enjoy your hate of the Seashits but you don't realize is most Rams fans hate the Cheatriots as much or if not more than the Sheshits. Was routing for you guys to beat their asses but we all know how Brady a the Cheats get calls and BS to go their way.

P.S. if McCarthy gets fired you need to fire that GM as well. Total shit show with what he has done and at retaining some talent!

Can you imagine Rogers with a 2018 thinking offensive coach with a bag of tricks? He does so much with only vanilla flavoring. Pretty amazing and enjoy the ride with him. It's been special to watch.

I hope you guys or the Saints win it all if we don't. Two like able teams.

I think the Packers need to focus on personnel.

WRT coaching, McCarthy is one of the better offensive minds in this league and Pettine is an excellent complimentary defensive mind for him. Firing McCarthy can end up making your team go backwards if they don't nail the new hire. Now I realize sometimes the head coach can get stale in a certain place, where his message seems old or whatever, and the overall leadership skills of the HC are important too (and that's the one thing I question with McCarthy). But it sure would be easy to downgrade so IMO Packers fans should beware that whole direction.

Get better players. Seems to me that should be the GM's plan. Oh and btw the Packers still are talented enough to make a run and get into the playoffs, would not rule that out by any means just yet.

Hey Packfan 18
Personally I don’t mind the Packers. I like their style, their overall vibe is good.

My buddy growing up was a Ram fan and Packer fan. This was like Junior High into High School. We were the biggest Ram fans when nobody else was - I forgave him for liking the Pack cause his parents were from wisconsin and they sucked back in the 80’s

Funny story he had this Packer’s hat he just loved - it had all this sentimental value to him, something about his dad giving it to him etc. We’ll one day he gets in this road rage incident where he wanted to throw something at this opposing driver, so without thinking he grabbed his prized hat and hurled it at the guy. Well it sailed through the guys window onto this dude’s passenger seat and the guy, instead of raging back, simply threw the hat on his head and drove off laughing. Man was he broken up about that ahhahah. I never let him forget that
