I mean, Jake TECHNICALLY is a poster due an account on here and drops in from time to time. But, it's really not a problem.

I've never had an issue with @Corbin before and I don't now. I just completely disagree with the aggressive use of words towards Jake but they aren't words Jake hasn't been called before, and he can handle it.

I agree with most things Corbin says and disagreed mightily with that one.

I appreciate you @Memento !

I'm over it and moving on.

If I could I'd shake Corbins hand, buy him a beer and share laughs about the SOSAR pain we all endured.

Fair enough. I'd buy you both a round, but I'm dead-ass broke.

So...cheers, Otto, @Corbin !

And my point is they keep bringing players back that all of us can see, season after season, are below average players. Evans, Noteboom, Reeder, Rozeboom, now Shelton
It's fucking depressing.
Reeder and Roseboom at least gave 100% effort.
I can't fault them one bit.
The other three I can see your point.

What makes no sense is with Wendell we went for bigger and stronger OL and it worked. And now we've given up on that and resigned Shelton I just don't get it.
I get your question, but, where's the concern about Limmer? Snead and MCVay both eluded to the fact they wanted a "Wall" of protection for Bradford ; to slow down the interior pressure. Yet, they drafted Limmer, 6'5" 308 lbs, PFF pass grade of 62....much worse than the other Centers drafted before him. I don't get how that fits their plans.
I see both Limmer and Shelton as liabilities against interior Pass pressure, more specifically the Bull rush

Bradford?!?!

Bradford????? Wow.... too many Whiskey sours after dinner..... I gotta step away from the keyboard.... :laugh4:

He’s a piece of shit that throws whatever against the wall see what sticks and talks about it, if that’s what you want to call reporting so be it.

He also directs his mob of morons towards anyone he deems as a challenge to his authority and takes.

What a complete ass hat of a person who tries to win any dissension of opinion as direct attack on his sports reporting. Fuck him, and I’ll say it every time his Booger eating name comes up.
I developed a dislike for the guy. He seemed to be smug in the fact that ever since he got a credential to go to the Senior Bowl that he's more important and more knowledgeable than the average fan. But, I still watch his YouTube to maybe learn something since he has more time to devote to research than I do. And, sometimes I ask a question in a respectable manner in the comments but he never replies. I see that he replies to other people, but not me. Makes it difficult to change your opinion about someone with behavior like that.

First I'm not one to care about pff grades they're very inconsistent imo especially for OL and DBs in mostly zone settings.

Also I'm all for drafting a center for depth and even competition with Limmer who as a rookie did have some issues but was pretty darn good once he started.

My main issue isn't with bringing in another center it's with the center brought in. We watched Shelton for a long time and he's not good.

Yes, it is possible for Shelton to be horrible but still be better than Limmer.
The only question to ask, now that the signing is done, I think is....is the C position better with Limmer/Shelton than it was with Limmer/McMahon?
Don't bring Avila into the question either....moving Avila to C because of injury and weakening the LG spot is not a good situation either.
The answer is yes, it is.
I don't like the money they signed Shelton to either but the C spot is deeper with him signed than not.

What about Justin Dedich ?Your forgetting him.I believe he was on the roster more games & was a starter as well over McMahon.

Shelton is a NFL starting Center, weather Ram Fans want to believe it or not.The biggest difference between the 2 players is Beaux is SO much bigger, and will need to learn to play guard as well
to get full value of his worth.
Ladon Dickerson was a player who is actually better at guard than Center.Limmer is opposite, but still Coleman Shelton is a disaster at guard.

I like Dedich.
Thought he played really well in a couple of stretches.
He is not in the equation at C I don't believe and I was talking about Center.

Dedich played LG and actually played solid IMO, not great, but he did not hurt the Rams and held up in pass protection, which was much better then some in the past like Jamil Demby for example.

Shelton being a starter will completely blow. Only Jake I kinda like is the one from State Farm lol

Well, I am sure Dedich is smart enough to utilize the PowerPoint Coach tool to enhance his skills plus recommending Earl Grey Tea, which is just like coffee without the bad breath.

Interesting point from Mays show this week when asked about oline coaching:

He surveyed a bunch of offensive coaches and OCs about what makes a top oline coach and they said what Oline coaches have to do is super complicated: teach multiple techniques of run blocking and pass blocking, teach the actual scheme the team uses, and be a psychologist that not only has to motivate individual players but get 5 guys to work in unison.

Some coaches said to him that a lot of oline coaches errrr on focusing on scheme over technique or vice versa when they should be focusing on one over the other depending on situation and some are still drill sergeants without the requisite psychological skills to motivate and get the best out of the players.

Also, much like CBs, one's confidence can get shattered after just one or two bad plays so a coach has to navigate that with players.

He finished his USC career at Center. SO - imo at his size playing center might be his best position?

He handle himself well a UDRFA.A true surprise, and he helped keep things together for The Rams.

Competition is good, but Shelton only brings a positive to The O”Line.
