For me this includes. Streisand, Celine, Mariah.

Adele can blow them all away. Her control and range with feeling is astounding.

Jimmy Buffet said it best:
I got a head full of feelin higher
And an ear full of Patsy Cline
There is just no one who can touch her
Hell I hang on every line

I know you guys haven't heard of my girl Tanya Stephens. She's got lots of incredible music, and she writes all of her own songs. This one doesn't show off her vocal talent as much as some of her other stuff,,, but it's my favorite...

Lauryn is almost as fine as her voice...

Annie Lennox and Sade.

Annie has range and power that is unrivaled. These modern day pop singers cant even come close. She has one of the most beautiful and strong voices you will ever hear.

Sade is my fave though. Has been since I first heard her. Soooo smooth and sexy. One of the hottest females I have ever seen and she has only gotten better with age. I would take a bite out of that real estate for sure.

I have an eclectic mix on my iPod....actually now my phone......and I listen to Annie and Sade while I work out sometimes.

Another great music thread :bg:
I have a thing for female vocalists(not just because i'm a dude....ok well maybe). But seriously i've heard alot of good music ruined by shitty male vocalists(especially in modern rock).
Here's a few of my favorite ladies on the mic.
My favorites seem to be women who have power, range AND beauty in their voice.

Grace baby! BTW this cut is a live vocal over the band "lip syncing" if i'm not mistaken. I do know the vocal is live.

Unbelievable vocal performance.

How this got to two pages without Ann Wilson will forever remain a mystery.

Not the best I have ever heard, but I like this girl

Dolores O'Riordan has a great voice too. Coupled with that Irish accent, it's pretty awesome.

Thank you. Gimme a some Barracuda, Mistral Wind, my day is just that much better.

Great names here, guys.

Dang, X... you stole the two I was going to post; Dolores O'Riordan and Ann Wilson

So I'll throw out two more:

Shirley Manson of Garbage (who is... well... hot. But I loved the dark sound of this band):

Ellie Goulding (seen here live with her amazing sound... albeit not perfectly tuned still amazing and unique):

Great pick.

Whitney Houston has to be in the conversation. When she was on her game, she had the voice of an angel.

Most of the music I listen to doesn't really give a female vocalist the opportunity to shine. They often have to maintain a certain volume and pitch to rise above the guitar. "The Great Gig in the Sky" is one of my favorite vocal rcordings of all time, and I think it has to be added to this thread.

PJ Harvey.

Ya Shirley Mason is hot, seen garbage live twice. Those summer dresses are very short. And one of my favorite CDs you can listen too from start to finish IMHO!
