How much of the overage on his contract was because:

- the salary cap went up - as reported - beyond every single teams internal models of what was going to happen this year
- an very underwhelming FA class at WR

I wonder how this contract will look after some of these other receivers are signed in FA this year
I highly suspect that, when it's all said and done, we would have been better off spending that 10 million or more on other receivers.

That money could be spent on an ilb who would start and make our defense serious.
Fair enough.

Probably could have had Tyler Lockett at that price for a year. Already mentioned Hollywood Brown may have been had for around the same dollars. Both are a little older but have provided more production in their careers. Here's hoping for a Tutu breakout season but I just don't see it.
I'd prefer Tutu to either of these guys. Brown was almost invisible last year when he came back from his shoulder injury and its not like the Chiefs had an abundance of receiving threats. Lockett is old and has zero RAC ability. If Tutu is given targets, he outperforms these 2 by a lot.

See my above comment about Tutu's best play coming from F which was Kupp's position. Now that Kupp's gone, there's actually the ideal spot for Tutu.
So what is the "F"? Is that the same thing as a slot receiver?
Thanks.

I wouldnt necessarily call a DUI "legal issues", and wouldnt think a 1-2 game suspension would deter signing him
Snead literally used the term "legal issue". And Snead finished off his statement by saying "We've appreciated his time with us." LOL. They're done!

Yup, not necessarily in all offenses but in a lot.

X - on the line, often boundary
Z - Flanker, off the line
F - slot, can also just be called slot
Y - TE, but sometimes used for slot too
