We must BURY them. I do NOT want the Rams to face them in the playoffs.
C'mon Rams, c'mon coach McVay, don't let up the gas until you've buried this ugly red & gold team.

Don't know what it is, we have better personnel in most areas except TE. But we need to solve it this Sunday because they are not better than us. Crapollo is not Montana but we play him worse than we did vs Joe.

The thing I noticed though on much of our losses to them is they come out fired up. Whooping and hollering after successful plays whether they be ST stops or def stops, or on offense after gashing runs. We need to turn that shit around.

The question here is can McVay accept to really alter his classic play style in order to counter on both sides what they will inevitably throw at us? Can we run more and play simple, kepp the ball on offense, have long drives, take what is there, etc.
I don't want to have the ghost of SF haunting us in the playoffs. It's crazy how scared we are of them.
Impo we need to alter our defensive scheme from the soft zone... G- string will nickel and dime us all day long ... Really is a no brained for the whiners. It keeps the rush away and easy completions for Crackopolo.

Funny went to candlestick for the first time way back. Talk about Smoke. That No Cal bud was (legendary) famous.

I completely agree.

We should have every player except one or two each play be within 5 to 7 yards of the line of scrimmage.

We should also put Ramsey on Samuel and double team Kittle

And I think we win this game easily if that happens.

1) Commit to stopping the run.
2) Take away short passing game.
3) Ramsey/Double Samuel.
4) Ramsey/Double Kittle.

With these simple steps, we may give up 1 or 2 big plays deep (maybe), but they will be more than compensated by short drives (allowing our O more opportunities to score), and turnovers (allowing our O more opportunities to score).

We win 34-13.

Are you suggesting we clone Ramsey to cover Samuel and Kittle?

Can't wait to see them get a good dose of 25.

Love the Coach’s Show this week. The fact that we need this game and control our own destiny is a big plus. McVay knows it, Dfarr knows it, the organization knows it.

THIS WEEK IS HUGE!!!

Guys just couldn’t ask for more, competing in a game like this is what you want.

5 weeks in a row kicking them to the curb, let’s get it done again and carry the momentum into the playoffs! :fistbump1:

I hate the Niners so much, it almost hurts. The Rams will never do anything that matters if we don't beat those Sonsabitches on Sunday, imo. It almost means more than winning a Lombardi, beating their asses and crushing their dreams.

The Niners lost 4 games to the Cardinals and Seahawks. I don’t get it. Neither has a great defense, and both didn’t play great against a very similar Rams offense.

I guess the only common denominator is scrambling QBs that can gain yards on the ground.
Shanahan takes advantage of your ILB core every single time. That seems to be the constant every matchup. Outside of Ramsey, I don’t think you guys have the personnel to contain Kittle without Deebo having a field day or the other. He can’t do that against Bobby Wagner & SEA loves playing the run in which SF loves to do. We have have the personnel to not let at least both Deebo & Kittle have a big day. The short quick passing game also negates Donald & the EDGEs.

You’re right the athletic QBs. Bosa & company can’t tee off against Kyler & Russell like they can against way-less athletic QBs like Goff/now Stafford. Not to mention Kyle’s know McVay’s playbook like the back of his hand.

Pretty fair.

The bummer is they had addressed it with Jones and he was just starting to flourish when he got hurt.

I wonder if it will be different now with Von Miller opposite Floyd. If they can take away the outside rush or contain it for the most part then it will take away a huge part of the Niners offense.

The Niners ran Samuel to the left with a lot of success the last time.
