Just curious why you feel that being outspoken on social media would be counted against him in not fitting our culture? We've had our share of divas - OBJ, Peters - that McVay said he loved because they were passionate about football.

It doesn't appear that being loud is counted negatively against a player.
Well, the Character/leadership test was developed after they were both gone. I don’t recall them bringing in anyone similar since. So, maybe he raised the bar. Plus, being passionate about football and getting in public arguments is not the same thing.

Yeah, it was sarcasm...

Maybe if you add a high draft pick or Byron Young you could throw a few of those listed in and get something done.
Yeah no worries I figured that but I know they tell us to kick rocks hahaha...... we'll see what ultimately happens.

Agree.

I don't see Dallas moving Parsons unless and until there's a whole lot more negativity in the coming weeks and months. Even should that happen, I just don't see the Rams as a good option.

When I posted this thought yesterday, someone replied that my Reality was putting a damper on the dreams and fantasies of some ROD posters. I felt bad. I wouldn't like it if some ROD posters put a damper my own dreams and fantasies about the Boobie and Booty threads just because I am old and unattractive.

So No More Reality from me! Let's get Micah Parsons!!!
:laugh1::laugh2:Maybe that was me cuz I said let us dream a little. Don't worry, if you ruin that dream, I'll just head over to the boobie and booty thread to dream again. But yes, let's get Parsons hahahahaha

I mean... it's all a negotiation, same with scary Terry.

I put Parsons being moved at 5%. Teams will still call to do due diligence of course.

The cost would prob be north of what the Raiders got from Mack which is pretty prohibitive too.
I agree that its part of the negotiation tatics. Didn't we hear this same bullshit from Myles Garrett?

I'm guessing no team is going to give up 2x first round picks plus a second, third, etc., when this next draft is a big time QB draft.

I didn't think the Raiders got THAT MUCH for Mack ... two #1s and a #3 ... but the Bears got back Mack and a #2.

There were some late-round picks but the key pieces were ... #19 and #24 overall (in two different Drafts) plus a third round pick for Mack and a second round pick (#43 overall).

The Raiders did not draft well with two of those picks (Damion Arnette and Bryan Edwards). Josh Jacobs gave them five good seasons but none of those three players are still with the Raiders.

The only player from that trade still with his team is Cole Kmet ... the 2nd rounder Chicago got back.
In light of this trade as a template, would anyone do this for Parsons?

Rams trade:
'26 1st (via Falcons)
'26 3rd
'27 1st

Rams receive:
Parsons
'27 2nd

You may be right that the bar has been raised since OBJ.

I would add though that the character/leadership test is not new. McSnead have been talking about football passion character and targeting high IQ players and team captains like Kupp since McVay got here.

No, the test is actually relatively new. They had a guy from Walk street create it. Jourdan wrote about it. It was 2-3 years ago.

I'd offer our two first rounders straight up, since neither are likely to be early picks. But nothing more.

Dallas would effectively be in the Raiders' position ... and would say ...
"No Fucking Way ... We ain't the dopey Raiders"

Rams receive:
Parsons
'27 2nd
The Rams would effectively be in the Bears' position ... and would say ...
"We sure wish you WERE the dopey Raiders"

What we are witnessing right now with Dallas is the early stage of tanking for the top pick due to the projected QB quality in this upcoming draft.

Blockbuster trade of an elite defender will leave that defense weak. Schottenheimer's stupid and non-creative ass drawing up the plays ensures the offense will be a plodding and predictable unit.

Soon as the season ends the cryptkeeper can clean house then try to make a strong hire of an offensive mind to help him choose the right QB.

Buckle up and buy your tickets to Pittsburgh for next April @Rynie.

I still can't believe after those many years of Schotty being our O/C, he continued to be an O/C for Seacocks and eventually ends up as H/C.

Unreal! The fatherly genetics to the NFL must have padded his resume. Work hard and you'll earn it. I never saw it with Brian Schottenheimer as an NFL head coach. Especially "America's Team". I have more respect for Liam Cohen and even that one was weird for me as a distant fan.
