Levis is under contract for 2 more years at a real cheap number. No reason for Tenn to trade him for peanuts
Tennessee has every reason to want to get something for him while they can, once they decide he's not the guy. The longer they hold onto him, the more his trade value drops. Look no further than Tennessee trading Malik Willis to Green Bay before this season.

Will be interesting to see where Coen goes, if he gets a head coaching position this offseason. He was a big fan of Levis so if his new team needs a QB I could see him going after him.

I think Levis needs to spend some time in a backup role behind a good veteran QB and under a good offensive mind. The physical tools have always been there, where he falters is with reads and throwing with anticipation. He needs to take a step back from the game, see it from another vantage point, and learn from the best on how to prepare mentally.

Possibly. But he's got some NFL exposure under his belt now. A guy who runs an offense he's comfortable with, and knows from college, also who has a great working relationship with him, and who knows.

If I'm in Coen's shoes, I'm not lining up to hitch my wagon to that guy if I get a HC job.

Who wouldn’t want that job? The problem is the bears need an offensive minded coach to develop caleb williams. Carroll would not be my choice for the job.

On X-Mas, we get a Schefter v. Florio dispute:

Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports that Carroll wants back in. Which means, frankly, that Carroll’s agent has specifically told this to Schefter in the hopes that Schefter would broadcast it to the world, in the hopes of generating public opinion. Then, Carroll’s agent will owe Schefter big time.

And that’s how the sausage gets made.

Carroll, per the report/strategic leak, specifically has expressed interest in the Bears’ vacancy. Which obviously means nothing, unless the Bears have interest in Carroll.
Given that the team’s No. 1 objective (we’re told) is to hire a coach who will get the most out of quarterback Caleb Williams, a defensive coach whose best NFL teams were fueled by that side of the ball most likely won’t be the right guy to pair with Williams.

I have a crazy thought. I think the Rams should give Kadarius Toney a call and see if he's willing to play HB. This wouldn't be help for this year, as it would take time to train him at a new position, but he's one of the most gifted college players I've seen with the ball in his hands. Things haven't panned out for him at WR, and he's a bit of a headcase, but I'd be interested in seeing what he could do at HB (and as a KR). Cordarrelle Patterson carved out a nice career from himself under similar circumstances (failed at WR and then moved to HB).
I'm a no there. He's way way too injury prone and only proven to be unreliable. I admit he's got the potential but he just finds way to never get close to fulfilling it.

I’m interested in Dre Greenlaw or Nick Bolton for an addition to our LB group. Bolton is younger and does not have the torn Achilles injury history but Greenlaw would be a kick in the balls to a division rival. Both are stout against the run, play like they truly care and seem like smart players.
Bolton would be my preference. Fuck that piece of shit Greenlaw.

Dolphins waived LB Shaq Barrett.
Barrett will be waived from the Reserve Retired list and can be picked up by any team. If he clears waivers, he will be free to sign with any team of his choosing. Barrett applied for reinstatement to the league last month after announcing his retirement in July, but the Dolphins said they had no plans to waive the veteran linebacker or activate him at that time. Now, with an apparent change of heart, Barrett hopes to join a contender and compete in the postseason for a third NFL championship after winning two rings with the Broncos and Buccaneers.

Couldn't hurt to have another pass rusher for our run. can't cost much this late in the year.

Maybe he takes him in a backup capacity. For example, I could see the Saints hiring Coen and then having Levis to back up Derek Carr.

Now I know we are definitely more focused on winning and going as far as we can in the playoffs, but since we are talking about who to add here, I'm extremely interested in the Rams adding Chris Godwin if the price is right. I get he has his unlucky injury issues but man was he balling out before that. Wondered what the thoughts were on him here on this board?

I see your point with Greenlaw fellas but do you ever consider Aaron Donald’s own history in this league? Or does that not matter be he wears the horns and will be in the HOF.

I see a big difference between going at someone face to face vs dirty plays during a game.

Greenlaw plays dirty. He's not an enforcer or a defender of team mates. He does things that endanger other players.
