He won't get a 1st round tag. He's had a partial season starting at #2 cb. It all depends on how he plays the first half of the season IMO. If he plays good I could see the Ram offering a contract around $6-$8 mil a year during the season. If he is subpar he will be gone and get what he can on the open market. It all depends on how he does this year and how much they value David Long as well, since he could be the long term fix at cb #2. Just my opinion, i'm not the best at this but since you tagged me, this is what comes to mind. He wont be getting a Trumaine Johnson type contract.

lol oh shit my bad, i blame the few beers i've had. As for Taysom Hill noo GM is gonna give up a 1st for a guy who is 30 at the start of the league year and thrown 13 passes in the regular season in 4 years in the NFl and the #3 QB on his team. No idea what the Saints were thinking. Hes gonna get a couple mil at max to re-sign, maybe a mil more if he goes to FA to be a #2 somewhere.

The same way I pronounce "Potato!" *flexes guns...

Somebody is bound to over pay him and hopefully it's the Saints. I'd be shocked if he got a long term deal anywhere else for more than 8-10 million ish? That's for a gadget player and a backup/3rd string qb.

Issue I see with that is the Titans signing him. They have several big free agents with Henry and Tannehill and that doesn't include Conklin who they're likely to let go. I realize there are ways around it but they have like $50 million in space and rb and qb could take most all of that. There are some restructures and cuts they can make but you're talking about 55-60 million hit for 3 players on a limited resource team. Their GM doesn't strike me as that kind of risk taker.

It's not the money, it's the 2nd round draft pick. I don't think a team will give that up for him. They can just draft a similar gadget qb in the draft much lower than that and pay him much less as well.

The saints want to play it safe and putting a 1st round tender on him, so they're spending a couple of extra million on him.

probably a good measure for a GZ deal. $4.4 mill a year.

Lol. No...just....no.

I'm not paying a kicker that much unless you have a QB on a rookie deal. And that's if said kicker was consistently good, which at this point is a question mark for GZ.

While we're at it, let's see what can be done with Hekker's contract - that'd be nearly $10 million combined in punter/kicker, or about what JJ's extension could be worth. That's insane. Bring on rookie punter and kicker please.

Careful what you wish for, you might get it. Kickers aren’t valuable until you’re someone like the Bears. $4.4 mil is probably going to be average money after new cba is signed.
