  • Steven Parker, DB, Oklahoma
  • Chucky Williams, DB, Louisville
  • Codey McElroy, TE, Oklahoma State
  • Steven Mitchell, WR, Southern California
  • Tegray Scales, LB, Indiana
Modern-day weakside linebacker ready to fill the stat sheet. Plus athletic skills and speed to the football. Can be physical with blockers and also shed them if need be. Has promise in coverage but mainly a sideline-to-sideline roamer. CBS Ranked 117th best player in draft
  • Afolabi Laguda, DB, Colorado
  • McKay Murphy, DT Weber State
  • Dalton Keene, DT, Illinois State

Outside of Mitchell & Scales there is little info

N.B. Jeff Holland was NOT a priority free agent. Signed with the Broncos... Les Snead has a well documented ongoing relationship with the program at Auburn, so it is curious that we didn't select him?

' disappointing efforts at the combine and in his pro day workout at Auburn saw him saw him slide down draft boards of NFL franchises'

'The issue with Holland is he was never asked in Auburn’s scheme to drop in coverage '

Pleased with the Scales pickup. Don't know anything about the others. Would have liked them to kick the tyres on Holland, though.

Jeff Holland signed with the Broncos.

Dalton Keene, DT, Illinois State 6-3 285lbs

Three-year starter who was named First Team All-MVC and led Illinois State with 13 tackles for loss and eight sacks while making 45 tackles with one forced fumble and six pass breakups in 2017. Earned Second Team All-MVC honors and recorded 67 tackles (7.5 for loss), 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one interception and three PBUs as a junior. Named Honorable Mention All-MVC and posted 59 tackles (10 for loss), five sacks and three pass breakups in 2015. Started four games as a true freshman and made 29 tackles with one sack.
Pos:
Intense, hard-working defender with average size and speed. Tough to move off the point, plays with excellent pad level and works his hands throughout the action. Focused on by opponents, gives great effort and plays through the whistle. Easily moves about the field, quickly changes direction and shows agility. Relatively effective in space and displays the ability to drop off the line of scrimmage on zone blitzes.
Neg:
Inconsistent off the snap. Must improve his overall strength at the point.
Analysis:
Keene is a hostile player with a competitive attitude but is a limited athlete. He offers possibilities as a backup three-technique tackle and plays with a special-teams mentality.

OK up to this point this is my Rams UDFA list :

Afolabi Laguda- Safety
Steven Parker- Safety
Steven Mitchell -WR
Tegray Scales -ILB
McKay Murphy- 5 tech DE (run defender)
Codey McElroy -TE
Dalton Keene- DE/DT(run defender)

Who did I miss?
Ricky Jeune - WR
Laquvionte Gonzales - WR
Chucky Williams - S

Jeune is intriguing. Gtech WR's are vastly over looked and a lot of times underrated because of the offense they run. Good size and physical which would make him a good RZ target. Willing and experienced blocker in the run game ( a GT must) and could be valuable on ST's units. And 4.5 at 6-'3"- 212 is fairly decent. His YPC over his carrer of over 2o YPC is outstanding. Seems to run decent routes and has a good stem plant.

Mike Thomas might have to step up in camp this yr .....

Walter Football also had us taking:

Jeremiah Kolone, OL, San Jose State

This ^^ makes 10 UDFA's the Rams have signed so Far. How many more can they pick up!?

12 so far with the last two - current roster is at 87, so conceivably they could grab three more.

My guess is that they may bring in one more actual free agent with the money saved by trading Tavon, so likely just a couple more.
