Thursdays Injury reports Rams - Seacocks

http://www.seahawks.com/news/2017/1...eport-five-seahawks-return-full-participation

Five Seattle players were upgraded to full participation during Thursday’s practice at Virginia Mason Athletic center, where running back Mike Davis(ribs), offensive lineman Ethan Pocic (ankle), defensive end Dion Jordan(neck), and cornerbacks Byron Maxwell (shoulder) and Justin Coleman(shoulder) worked without limitation as the Seahawks ready for their Week 15 game against the Los Angeles Rams at CenturyLink Field.

Eight Seahawks were sidelined Thursday, including starting linebackers Bobby Wagner (hamstring) and K.J. Wright (concussion), who each exited this past Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with injuries and did not return. Left tackle Duane Brown (ankle) and tight end Jimmy Graham (ankle) were downgraded from limited participants Wednesday to non-participants Thursday, while safety Earl Thomas (heel) was added to Thursday’s report and did not participate.

For the Rams, linebacker Connor Barwin (forearm) and receiver Robert Woods (shoulder), who have each missed multiple games in recent weeks, fully participated. Offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth (knee), meanwhile, was held from practice for a second straight day.

Interesting Stat....

The Rams are 9-0.......

When I win my Fantasy Football game this year.

As I enter the Semifinals of my league...I feel a large responsibility to get the W....Not only for myself, to advance to the championship game, but also for the Rams chances for the divisional title. I will do my best to set the perfect line-up.

Do any of you have superstitions that you believe actually help? Sometimes, I will remove all the cushions from my couch and the Rams will go on a 14 point unanswered run.

Adrian Peterson‘s season is over.

The Arizona Cardinals are placing the former All-Pro running back on injured reserve due to a neck injury, per multiple reports.

Peterson has missed the Cardinals’ last two games due to injury, which occurred in a Week 12 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians had said on Tuesday he had “no idea” whether Peterson would play again this season. The team apparently determined in the ensuing two days that he would not be able to get back on the field before the season ends.

Peterson has 448 yards and two touchdowns on 129 carries in six games since the trade that sent him from New Orleans to Arizona in mid-October. He had gained just 81 yards on 27 carries in four games with the Saints before being dealt.

The move could potentially mark the end of Peterson’s incredibly productive career. He’s rushed for 12,276 yards with 99 rushing touchdowns, and 2,015 receiving yards on 252 receptions during his 11 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Saints and Cardinals.

NFL screwed up not flexing Rams vs. Eagles

'Sunday Night Football' takes a big hit as NFL ratings still struggle
by Frank Pallotta @frankpallotta
December 14, 2017: 5:57 PM ET

The NFL's premiere game of the week took a big hit in TV ratings on Sunday night, despite it being a close game.

NBC's "Sunday Night Football" match up between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers brought in 17.2 million viewers on Sunday night. That number was down 35% from last year's Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants game, which was the most-watched prime time regular season since Thanksgiving 2015.

The drop for the NBC broadcast is troubling for a league that has been plagued by down ratings nearly all season. It's even more surprising since the Ravens and the Steelers are bitter rivals and the game ended with the Steelers beating the Ravens 39 to 38.

NBC wasn't the only one to see its NFL ratings take a dip. CBS' slate of games over the weekend were down 27% from last year, while ESPN was down 9%. Fox was the only network to see its ratings go up from last year with its numbers up 6%.

Overall, the ratings for the NFL's season are down 9% from last year.

For most of the season, the league's critics, including President Trump, have pointed to the declines as a sign that players kneeling during the national anthem in protest are hurting the league's popularity. The reason why the league's viewership has taken a tumble may be harder to pinpoint, but one pain point is that many of the league's star players have been injured and out of games.

Richard Sherman, Deshaun Watson, J.J. Watt, Odell Beckham, Andrew Luck, Carson Wentz and Aaron Rodgers have all been injured at some point throughout this season. The suspension of Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott may have also had an impact since the Cowboys, one of league's most popular and watched teams, have been lackluster in his absence.

The shortage of stars may mean that casual fans are less likely to tune into big games of the week like "Sunday Night Football."

Yet, the numbers are still down across the board for the NFL and it now looks the end of the season and the playoffs to help turn around the ratings slide.

TNF-Vance Joseph & The Run

I just had to commend Vance Joseph on a good job with the 4th qtr clock management. Keep running the ball!

The reason why I made this thread is because its something McVay doesn't seem to have yet. Clock management. I wonder where we'd be if McVay just kept running the ball. Who cares if your not getting an instant first down. Its about running down the clock, and wearing down the D. This is something that McVay needs to polish.

Since Week 5 NFC West Title comes "full circle"

"NFC West Title" comes
5824355.gif

The top two NFC West contenders meet in a winner take all type of game this Sunday.

The different paths these top two teams have taken leading up to their anticipated second meeting, comes "full circle" this weekend in Seattle.

What a whirl wind it's been this NFL season and the NFC West is about to "reveal" who their best team is.

Suddenly here we are nine weeks later getting ready for the "coveted rematch" between the Rams and Seahawks.

Several fans of both teams believed their second meeting would probably determine the eventual NFC West champions.

This game has been periodically bantered about for nine weeks after their first contest ended when Seattle hung on late to capture a 16-10 victory.

By the new look and upstart Rams losing the first match on their home turf, the perennial NFC West division bullies from Seattle gave them a gut-wrenching dose of reality that the Seahawks are still the big boys of the West until proven different.

McVay's Rams were close to pulling a "rabbit out of the hat" back in October, but no cigars were passed out and moral victories don't count in the NFL division standings.

Are the Rams the better football team now and poised enough to get a victory nine weeks later? Will the Seahawks continue their NFC West dominance and get the season sweep?

Everyone has their own personal perception of how they believe this game will play out, but the truth won't be known until after the final seconds run off the game clock at CenturyLink Field.
.
Many of us Rams fans probably remember the October loss in week 5 as if it was barely month or so ago.

Regardless of how long ago it feels for us fans, we are the people that cheer for the team with curled white ram horns on their helmet and the pain from that week 5 defeat will never completely leave our memories.

A Rams victory this Sunday would help alleviate much of the painful memories from that October hard fought loss nine weeks ago, and it will surely bring us football joy that can't be totally explained until it actually happens.

As each day passes leading up to the game Sunday, the anticipation and adrenaline will grow stronger and become more magnified.

The only thing that most of us will be thinking about, is how important and monumental this next game truly is for us Rams fans.

There is a history of memorable games played between the Seahawks and Rams but this one is the biggest game in the regular season since January 2, 2010.

The Rams lost the division title that day in Seattle 16-6. Both teams finished that season with 7-9 records but the Seahawks won the NFC West that day and the Rams have never sniffed a shot at the division title since.

The winner of this epic 2017 division rematch will very likely be crowned NFC West champions by the new year, and will be hosting a first round playoff game in their home city.

The magnitude and excitement in the regular season of the NFL doesn't get much bigger than this one does until the post season officially begins.

Rams hurt themselves with five turnovers in 16-10 loss to Seahawks

“I’m sick about it,” coach Sean McVay said.

A week after proving they were for real by winning at Dallas, the Rams failed to take the next step — to prove they are a legitimate playoff contender.

A team that was averaging an NFL-best 35.5 points scored only one touchdown, on a 27-yard run by Tavon Austin in the second quarter, and committed five turnovers against their division’s perennial power, wasting a mostly exceptional effort by the Rams’ defense.

They held the Seahawks to one touchdown for the game and just two field goals in the second half — and still came up short. On the opening possession, the Rams thrashed the Seahawks with Gurley runs and Goff passes.

But Seahawks safety Earl Thomas ended the threat and extinguished the Rams’ momentum by knocking the ball out of Gurley’s hand at the one-yard line. The ball hit the end zone pylon for a touchback.

“I’ve got to do a good job of taking care of the ball, no ifs, ands or buts about it,” said Gurley, who rushed for only 43 yards, the first time in three games he was held to fewer than 100.

Gurley’s fumble was one of several oddities in the game, including Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein’s first missed field goal attempt in 16 tries this season. Goff also unexpectedly regressed, at least in terms of turnovers: He had two passes intercepted and also lost a fumble.

McVay said Goff made “a couple uncharacteristic decisions.” Goff, who completed 22 of 47 passes for 288 yards, agreed. “I can be a lot better than I was today,” he said. The Seahawks defense might be aging but it still showed it can unnerve a young quarterback.

“You could see some balls were getting away,” said Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, whose team overcame a 10-0 deficit to improve to 3-2. “I don’t know if that’s because of rush or coverage or not, I just know the ball was not on target.”

The Rams trailed 13-10 in the third quarter but seemed poised to answer with at least a field goal when they drove to the Seahawks’ 15. Lineman Sheldon Richardson, however, intercepted a Goff pass to end the threat.

The Rams threatened again midway through the fourth quarter, but safety Earl Thomas picked off a Goff pass. On the Rams’ next possession, Seahawks end Frank Clark beat stalwart left tackle Andrew Whitworth and stripped Goff for a fumble that Richardson recovered.

The Seahawks led 16-10 when Goff got one last chance with just 1 minute 7 seconds left. He completed a long pass to tight end Tyler Higbee and a mid-range strike to receiver Robert Woods as the Rams drove to the Seahawks’ 20. But his third-down pass into the end zone bounced off Kupp’s hands.

“We’re playing in the NFL,” the rookie Kupp said. “You’re expected to make those plays and my expectations are no different. If I’m putting my hands on the ball, I’ve got to make the play.”

Said Goff: “He ran an incredible route, and I wish I could have put it just that much closer to him.”

The Rams held the Seahawks to a field goal, giving Seattle a 16-10 lead with 1 minute 12 seconds left.

Goff threw the Rams into the red zone with a completion of 35 yards to tight end Tyler Higbee followed by a 20-yard dart to receiver Robert Woods.

After spiking the ball to stop the clock, Goff's first pass to running back Todd Gurley fell incomplete. His next strike led rookie receiver Cooper Kupp into the end zone, but he couldn't hang on to the ball.

He went back to Kupp on his final throw, but the Seattle defense locked down and the receiver never had a chance.http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-li...in-loss-to-seahawks-1507504739-htmlstory.html

How different are the Rams and Seahawks teams "9 weeks" later since their first contest?

There are some significant differences with injuries and other intangibles that die hard fans of both teams know in great detail.

Both teams are coming off emotional "big game" losses last week to the Eagles and Jaguars but in a 16 game NFL season with 3 left to play, there is no time to dwell about what could've or should've happened in those hard fought slug fests.

One of the major differences nine weeks later is that this game will be played in Seattle and for all intensive purposes, the NFC West Crown is on the line.

The winner of this showdown should garner enough momentum to lock up the division title and become a serious contender in the NFC playoffs.

Have the rams taken over LA?

Any LA guys on here or even people that have visited this season ?

How is the city treating this team? I see alot more fans are going to the games .

I'm sure there are more fans since the team is winning but do these people seem they will stay around ?

Chargers to rams fan ratio ?

Thanks , I'm not gonna make any games this year and I'm just curious

So I guess no suspensions...

For the Seattle Fiasco? Goodell is such a PoG. Such wildly inconsistent suspension policy. Take the Gronk hit. About as cheap and dangerous a hit as I have ever seen in Pro Football. He gets one game. Now, imagine that it was Tom Brady laying on the sidelines and a defensive player Gronk's size put that hit on him, instead of Gronk hitting a no name defensive back. Good Lord, that guy would be suspended for a year. #GoodellStinks

Article: Rams DMVP aside from AD? Lamarcus Joyner

Love Wade Phillips talking about the Hard Knocks part lol.

http://www.espn.com/blog/los-angele...e-mvp-outside-of-aaron-donald-lamarcus-joyner

Rams' defensive MVP outside of Aaron Donald: Lamarcus Joyner

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. --Lamarcus Joynerdidn't understand it. He excelled as a safety in college, but couldn't play there in the pros. Three years of his NFL career went by and Joyner was used exclusively as a slot corner by theLos Angeles Rams, which meant he usually only played in about two-thirds of the defensive snaps.

"To me, it was like having a million-dollar check you can't cash because the bank just don't want to accept it," Joyner said. "It's not that it's not legitimate; they just don't want to accept the check."

That all changed with the new coaching staff. The Rams opted against bringing back long-time safetyT.J. McDonald-- who wound up being suspended for the season's first eight games -- because they believed Joyner needed to be on the field at all times.

It didn't take long, either.

"We came in, we watched the film from the year before, and we said, 'This guy's one of our best players, and he only played half the time -- what should we do?'" Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips recalled. "We said, 'Well, let's play him all the time then.' It sounds simple, but he's too good a player not to be on the field, in my opinion. And he thought the same way. I saw 'Hard Knocks.' I think he felt the same way."

Yeah ... that.

HBO's "Hard Knocks" followed the Rams through training camp last year. And one of the more memorable episodes included Joyner being so upset about his limited role that he decided not to show up for practice one morning. It took a heart-to-heart from former coach Jeff Fisher to convince him to even stay with the team.

Phillips teases Joyner constantly about that.

"I didn't mind it being out," Joyner said. "You had people saying, 'Why's this guy complaining?' Everybody from the outside looking in thought that the grass was green on the other side. And once that got out, I wanted everybody to know my frustration.'"

Joyner, who still sees occasional time at slot corner in subpackages, is currently the NFL's fourth-highest-graded safety by Pro Football Focus, behind only theMinnesota Vikings'Harrison Smith, theChicago Bears'Adrian Amosand theTennessee Titans'Kevin Byard. He has three interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, and nine passes defended. And that doesn't even begin to explain his value.

"He doesn't have great size," Phillips said, "but he makes plays all over the field."

Joyner is only listed at 5-foot-8, but he has great length and surprising strength.

"He's a great athlete," Rams coach Sean McVay said, "but then he's also fearless."

Joyner played safety as a sophomore and as a junior at Florida State. But he was moved to slot corner for his senior year in 2013 because NFL teams questioned his coverage ability and scouts believed he would be better served in a tighter space. Joyner still bristles at that. He'll tell you his transition to NFL slot corner as a rookie in 2014 was a lot more difficult than his transition to NFL safety as a fourth-year player in 2017.

"It’s something I’ve been doing all my life, in little league, high school, college -- I was an All-American safety in college," Joyner said. "I wanted to show the league that I can cover and can do both -- I can play slot corner; I can play safety. And unfortunately, no one gave me the benefit of the doubt that I can play safety in this league."

Phillips did, and now the Rams are reaping the benefits.

So is Joyner, who is on the last year of his rookie contract and has seen his value increase significantly this season.

"I just felt like I had a talent that I wasn’t given an opportunity to present in this league," Joyner said. "And it was very frustrating. One year is enough, but three years? I just put my faith in the lord, knowing that someday it would come and I was going to get an opportunity."

PFF: Top 25 offensive linemen of the 2017 NFL season

https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-top-25-offensive-linemen-of-the-2017-nfl-season

Top 25 offensive linemen of the 2017 NFL season
BY SAM MONSON

After 14 weeks of the NFL season, offensive line play continues to dominate the landscape for several teams across the league. Teams have persevered through injury on their respective offensive lines, while others have suffered through tough injury stretches that may or may not have completely effected their seasons.

PFF’s Sam Monson highlights the list of top 25 offensive linemen through 14 weeks of football, with several noteworthy players on this list who have certainly had their part in pushing their teams to where they are now.

*Editor’s Note: This list is largely based on our Pro Football Focus Player Grades, but does not stick to them 100 percent, rather Senior Analyst Sam Monson has adjusted for scheme and/or role variances between select players in certain instances.

15. RODGER SAFFOLD, G, LOS ANGELES RAMS – 84.2 OVERALL GRADE
PFF Elite Stat:
Saffold has given up just one sack all season, across 445 snaps in pass protection.

After a tough start to the season, Rodger Saffold has been a force for the Rams in their run this season. On the year, he has given up just one sack, and 18 total pressures, but his most dominant aspect of play has been run blocking. Saffold’s brute strength is impressive and his ability to make blocks on the move has led to some highlight reel plays in opening space for Todd Gurley to exploit for big gains.

16. ANDREW WHITWORTH, T, LOS ANGELES RAMS – 83.6 OVERALL GRADE
PFF Elite Stat: Whitworth has allowed just 21 pressures this year, across 443 pass blocking snaps.

He may be 36-years old, but Andrew Whitworth remains one of the best tackles in the game, and has done so outside of the protection of the Cincinnati offensive scheme which has been one of the easier to block within for the past several seasons. Whitworth has represented a monstrous upgrade over what the Rams have had at left tackle over the past few years. Whitworth has surrendered 21 total pressures on the season, and has positive grades in every facet of play PFF measures.

RGIII says he turned down offers from the Cardinals and Ravens

Robert Griffin III says he turned down offers from the Cardinals and Ravens
Posted by Michael David Smith on December 14, 2017

Robert Griffin III hasn’t found a new NFL home since the Browns cut him in the offseason, but he says he could have played for the Cardinals and Ravens.

“I had an offer from Arizona, and also from Baltimore,” Griffin said on ESPN’s SC6.

So why did he turn down those offers? Griffin said the Cardinals had too many quarterbacks on the roster and he didn’t think he would get any practice time as a fourth-stringer. And he said Baltimore made him an offer right before its preseason opener against his original team, Washington, and wanted him to start in that game. Griffin said he didn’t think he would have adequate time to prepare in the Ravens’ offense, so he turned it down.

Griffin understood that he might have been turning down his only offers.

“I had interest in the offseason,” Griffin said. “It just wasn’t the right fit and I had to make that decision for myself to say, ‘Look, if I don’t accept this offer, there’s a chance I won’t play football this year.’ And I would talk to my family, and I was OK with that, OK with the fact that it might happen.”

Griffin did say, however, that he would love to sign with a team right now and hopes a playoff contender that needs a quarterback will consider him.

“I love football. I miss the game,” Griffin said. “I am ready. So I haven’t given up on 2017 yet. There are some teams that need help and may need help going into the playoffs.”

But it’s hard to understand why a team that needs help in the playoffs would call Griffin now, if he was telling the Ravens four months ago that he needs adequate practice time to be ready for a preseason game.

If Griffin wanted to play in the NFL in 2017, his best bet was to accept one of those offers in the offseason and prove himself in training camp. And his best bet going forward will be not to turn down any offers in 2018.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...d-griffin-a-deal-near-start-of-training-camp/

Ravens offered Griffin a deal near start of training camp
Posted by Mike Florio on December 14, 2017

Robert Griffin III claims that the Ravens offered him a contract this year. And indeed they did.

Per a league source, the offer came at or about the start of training camp. The terms aren’t known, but Griffin obviously wasn’t offered enough to get him to accept the deal. (Griffin contends that the offer came shortly before the preseason opener against Washington.)

The Ravens publicly debated the possibility of signing Colin Kaepernick after a back problem kept Joe Flacco out of camp for multiple weeks. The Ravens ultimately didn’t sign Kaepernick; according to former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, a tweet from Kaepernick’s girlfriendthat attacked Lewis and owner Steve Bisciotti derailed the move.

The claim that the Cardinals offered Griffin a contract seems more unrealistic, given Griffin’s skill set and the contours of the Bruce Arians offense.

Griffin added in an appearance on ESPN that he hasn’t given up on playing in 2017. Given the inevitable risk of injury, the phone may eventually ring. It’s a bit surprising that the Eagles have decided not to explore adding Griffin or any other veteran quarterbacks, opting instead to ride with Nick Foles and Nate Sudfeld.

We’ll find out whether that bold strategy works for the Eagles soon, beginning with Sunday’s game against the Giants.

Rams at Seahawks

MDS’s take: In a huge game for the NFC West race, I like the Seahawks to do just enough on defense to slow down the Rams’ high-scoring offense, and Russell Wilson to make a couple of big plays late to win a close game.

MDS’s pick: Seahawks 28, Rams 27.

Florio’s take: The Rams got their nine wins, but they may not get their playoff berth.

Florio’s pick: Seahawks 27, Rams 24.

CHRIS SIMMS

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks

The matchup between the Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams is one of the best of the week. The big thing here is that the Rams are the better overall team without question. What makes this tough to pick is the fact the Seahawks are at home and have Russell Wilson at quarterback.

Let's remember, though, that the Rams controlled the game the first time these two teams met this season. While Seattle ultimately won, it was largely because of mistakes from Jared Goff. I don't see him playing as poorly this time around, especially against a banged-up Seahawks defense.

While Wilson is fantastic and always gives Seattle a chance, guys like Aaron Donald and Mark Barron will make it difficult for him to take off and run. I don't expect him to struggle as much as he did in the loss to Jacksonville last week, but I don't expect him to make his usual magic either.

Expect Wilson and the Seahawks to fall just short in another physical battle between division rivals.

Prediction: Rams 24, Seahawks 23

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (-1.5)

This one is huge. Despite Seattle having the home field and already owning a win over the Rams, Los Angeles is just the more explosive and well-rounded team right now. A changing of the guard happens in the NFC West. MY PICK: Rams.

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (-1 1/2)

Jared Goff blew an opportunity to close out the Eagles, and it will cost the Rams in losing control of the NFC West a week later. The Seahawks will come out flying at home to make up for their latest slow start in Jacksonville. They'll swarm to contain Todd Gurley so they can tee off on Goff. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson, with his mobility, his big arm and Jimmy Graham, will have his way with a hurting Rams defense.

PICK: Seahawks win 27-17 and cover the spread.

Stedman Bailey is seeking an NFL comeback two years after being shot in the head. (AP)
Just before Thanksgiving in 2015, then-St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey was sitting in a car near his childhood home in Miami whenhe was shot three times, twice in the head.

The shots came from a nearby car that riddled the car Bailey and his cousin occupied with bullets. His cousin believes the shooting was a case of mistaken identity.

The shots fractured his skull. He didn’t suffer any damage to his brain tissue, but it was clear that survival and recovery were top priority, and he would never play football again.

Or so it seemed.

Two years later, Bailey, now 27, has been working out with Rams receiver Tavon Austin and Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown during their offseasons. And he wants to play football again.

He told West Virginia fan site DubVNation and ‘Good Morning Football’s’ Peter Schrager that his personal doctors have cleared him to pursue his dream of returning to an NFL field.

“Doctors say I can play,”Bailey, a former Mountaineer, told DubVNation. “But it’ll be up to teams to clear me, which I’ll be looking at this offseason.”

Schrager described a medical procedure that left Bailey with a titanium plate in place of the damaged part of his skull that is harder than human bone. He also reported that Bailey is in football shape and running a 4.4-second 40-yard-dash.

It’s a lot to overcome, and in this age of heightened awareness of head trauma, it still seems a long shot that NFL doctors would give Bailey the green light to return to football.

But Bailey is determined and is looking to be a free-agent pickup for next season.

“I’ll be looking for teams to bring me in for workouts so they can see me move personally,” Bailey told DubVNation. “From there I know I’ll be good.”

Rams Eagles 2nd half re-watch: comments

Took from another board 'steve':

1. Rams were the better 2nd half team, and will win in the playoff rematch against the immobile Foles
2. Gurley had a big game; the O line played well against the "#1" D line in the NFL.
3. The FG penalty was ridiculous: the announcers couldn't even find who was called and for what.
4. The Tru Jo penalty on 3rd down, in the red zone in such a huge game like that can not be called in the 2nd half.
That type of penalty is called in the 1st half to "set the tone"---it was suuuuch a small taunting. TruJo is a captain.
5. Goff waited too long on the strip sack....especially knowing his RT was out. That is on him.
6. Ebukam had a few nice pass rush moves.
7. Wentz's torn ACL reminds me of Bradford's 2nd ACL against the Browns--a 'rub' hit, come on, his feet were in the air and that is a very rare ACL tear happenstance.... Like Bradford, Wentz is fragile....cost his team a real chance at teh super bowl--see #8
8. Foles had no movement in the pocket--The eagles will have no chance against Vikings, Panthers or Rams because
he can't escape. All of a sudden the Rams pass rush was very good when FOles was in...wow, what a
difference--- Maybe they were 'containing' Wentz (?) similar to Wilson....with Foles in there Brockers and Donald
where beating high quality interior lineman. Eagles are still a very, very good team with Foles. He can throw.
9. That Rams Eagles was a classic game in almost every sense--and as far as losses are considered, it was one of
my favs to ever watch--sorry for you who can't bear a loss. No one likes a loss, but they should have beat a 10-2
team, and that alone makes it more fun that 90% of losses I have endured.
10. The D played great; but how can that be true? Well, that might have been Wentz's greatest game ever....really, every QB has a career game...and that was his--so far.
11. Too bad,now TEs were doing busines down the field for the Rams....afraid? Why?
12. Foles throw and Agelor's catch on the 3rd down with 2 min to go were perfect--you can't stop that.
13. Goff is good; again, I will say sometimes a QB wins a game, and that is what Wentz/Foles did.
14. Goff, twice, beat great pass rushes with spins. Huge....Mr Oh Brady can't do that.
15. Donald, Ogletree and Brockers will have to get some rest the next 3 weeks....wow, how many snaps??
16. Kupp is great. Big game.
17. One corner in free agency and one corner in the first 3 rounds...100% confident about that. By Tru Jo.

Just re-watched, and that Eagle game was closer than I had realized...

A play here or a call there and this woulda been a Ram win. So close. Sigh...

What if Hav hadn’t been hurt and Williams in on that strip sack play?

Bad, bad call on TruJo for unsportsmanlike. Even the announcers said so.

Bad call on Sully for holding early on.

Very bad call on AD for “leverage”.

Ironically, they coulda called holding by the Eagles on virtually every snap by the man trying to block AD. Gimme a break. That ref crew had a poor game. Hope that crew doesn’t even sniff working a playoff game.

Kupp can play in this league, huh? Can I get an amen?

There was some serious blocking going on that helped Gurley. And Gurley, in turn, got the whole O fired up.

Is there such a thing as scoring too quickly? Serious question.

GZ was burying those kickoffs all game long. Don’t think the Eagles ran one out at all.

ST had a highlight reel game. And to think Littleton almost had another punt block. Wow!

Quinn had a good game and I’m not just talking sacks. Very nice to see.

Rams killed themselves with legit penalties. Those will be fatal in a playoff game. Or vs the Seahawks, for that matter. Already cost us the Eagle game.

Rams have no quit in them, do they? I LOVE that in a team.

Wade’s adjustments kicked in at around the 11 minute mark of the 2nd quarter, and not a moment too soon. Eagles were looking like a danged runaway freight train. Point is that Wade didn’t wait until halftime to make desperately needed adjustments. Woulda been too late.

Tough to play without both starting outside CB’s, but the D coped pretty well, considering.

BTW, that little NRC played lights out, especially in the 4th quarter. The guy was a one man highlight reel. I was wrong about him.

What can I say about Gurley? Sure hope he runs “angry” vs the Seahawks next Sunday. And I sure hope McVay keeps feeding him until he has at least 25 touches or it’s become a Rams blowout.

Four lead changes in the fourth quarter alone. What an exciting game to watch. If only all playoff games were this exciting.

Gonna be great to have Malcolm Brown and Woods available vs the Seahawks. All hands on deck needed against that crew. Can someone PLEASE put a stake through the heart of those guys?

Pray that we come out of this Seahawk game with a win AND with everybody reasonably healthy. Some of those Seahawks play dirty, especially that Michael Bennett pos.

My hope down the stretch

We get Malcolm Brown back into the game action, and add a power game and start to dominate & force our will on the other teams. Control the clock and keep our defense fresh.
I think this has/was a big part of our plan before he got hurt.

Here's going into Seattle with the mindset to force our will, like no other and shove the ball down their throat!!!
I want to unleash a can of whoop a$s and make a true statement up in Seattle!!!
