PFT’s Week 15 picks

Rams at Seahawks

MDS’s take: In a huge game for the NFC West race, I like the Seahawks to do just enough on defense to slow down the Rams’ high-scoring offense, and Russell Wilson to make a couple of big plays late to win a close game.

MDS’s pick: Seahawks 28, Rams 27.

Florio’s take: The Rams got their nine wins, but they may not get their playoff berth.

Florio’s pick: Seahawks 27, Rams 24.

CHRIS SIMMS

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks

The matchup between the Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams is one of the best of the week. The big thing here is that the Rams are the better overall team without question. What makes this tough to pick is the fact the Seahawks are at home and have Russell Wilson at quarterback.

Let's remember, though, that the Rams controlled the game the first time these two teams met this season. While Seattle ultimately won, it was largely because of mistakes from Jared Goff. I don't see him playing as poorly this time around, especially against a banged-up Seahawks defense.

While Wilson is fantastic and always gives Seattle a chance, guys like Aaron Donald and Mark Barron will make it difficult for him to take off and run. I don't expect him to struggle as much as he did in the loss to Jacksonville last week, but I don't expect him to make his usual magic either.

Expect Wilson and the Seahawks to fall just short in another physical battle between division rivals.

Prediction: Rams 24, Seahawks 23

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (-1.5)

This one is huge. Despite Seattle having the home field and already owning a win over the Rams, Los Angeles is just the more explosive and well-rounded team right now. A changing of the guard happens in the NFC West. MY PICK: Rams.

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (-1 1/2)

Jared Goff blew an opportunity to close out the Eagles, and it will cost the Rams in losing control of the NFC West a week later. The Seahawks will come out flying at home to make up for their latest slow start in Jacksonville. They'll swarm to contain Todd Gurley so they can tee off on Goff. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson, with his mobility, his big arm and Jimmy Graham, will have his way with a hurting Rams defense.

PICK: Seahawks win 27-17 and cover the spread.

Seahawks are 2-2 since losing Sherman. Philly laid an egg two weeks ago, other than that they've looked mediocre and only beat a non Jimmy G whiner club on the road. Wilson scares me.

This is gonna be the most nerve racking game of the season! I'm not looking forward to the stress as Wilson breaks the pocket and scrambles all over the place.

I think we will score enough to have a chance.

We have to contain Russel if we want to take this division. It's really all about controlling him.

He is their team right now.
I have a feeling that the Hag's will have to put in there Back-Up QB in before this game is over!!! Who ever that is!! LOL

Let's not forget about Jimmy Graham either. He is Wilson's favorite target, and has a HUGE catch radius. He is going to get his catches... the Rams just need to limit his damage. I predict a Rams win. It is time for the LA Rams to take over the NFC West division and bring balance back to the universe! This game is HUGE!

If you include the Hawks with other NFC contenders, the Rams are 1-3 against them, so I can't yell and scream "we get no respect." We SHOULD beat the Hawks, but will we go into CLink and do it? The whole Rams team vs Russell Wilson it seems, it's a serious gut check.

Yes because he is apparently glitching! And he is only lucky because we allow him to do so everytime. Hopefully he won't be so lucky this time.
I don't know man, I see him run around on other teams and he rarely gets lit up. After doing similar things for 4-5 years , you have to call it a skill set....

I'll pick the young rebels vs the evil empire.

You are most likely right. I just can't fathom the fact that he is that good. I am just hating.

Quinn will have to contain him and run him down.

I swear Russell Wilson does that bs madden stuff where you run the opposite way and suddenly turn around and do like a long bomb and he gets lucky everytime.
Yeah...that's exactly what I'm talking about. You think he's dead in the water, then bam he launches some pass that's caught 40 yds down the field. Totally nerve racking to watch. But, pretty awesome to watch him do his thing from an athletic prospective.

I hope the D-Line crushes him...at least once! Just one good killer hit that makes him think twice next time he takes off scrambling.

I have a feeling Wade's defense will respond this game. They got lit up last game. They know what went wrong. I think we'll see a much better effort this game. If the offense gets within 6 points of their season average I think they win. 10 points won't cut it.
