Having played in only one game this preseason, do you think he makes the 53?

No, I'm not talking about Gurley. I'm talking about Nelson Spruce. The week 1 star from Colorado who caught everything thrown his way in the dramatic 4th quarter comeback hasn't played since due to injury. Do the snaps he took in just a single game prove to be enough for LA to have him make the roster? IMO, I say absolutely he makes this team, but I want to hear from you guys on why or why not.
He had an outstand preseason game! Probably won it for us! YES! He deserves a spot on the Roster! Next to Britt he's the only WR who catches everything thrown his way!(y);):D

The actual real final last thread on Goff

Maybe?

Anyway, here are all of his throws from last night. You be the judge, but I saw two poorly thrown balls and FOUR DROPS. Yes, the fumble was his fault but the INT came on a great play by the D and a retarded ass play call. I still think he should start Monday night.

Jared Goff Post Game Interview (video)

If this was already posted may the Mods quickly delete..

I was waiting for his post game interview to get released and just got home and watched it... The 21 year old 215 lbs skinny Cal kid is not one to make excuses... I feel for the young lad but not at all feeling sorry for him. Most of us still have faith in him.

He's a humbled prodigy rookie quarterback and on Sept 12th, 2016 it will his first time on a football team that he's never started in a game that actually meant something when final game clock hits 00:00.

I believe in Keenum! Too early to judge Goff

And Eli Manning is successful because they held him out?
Eli Manning situation is EXACTLY what we want to avoid.
They should have started Eli day 1 that year, they forced him in to the lineup and they were fortunate he didn't get killed.
What happened AFTER that season is irrelevant, what happened during is. The Giants started Warner over Eli for the same reasons (although Manning outplayed Warner in pre-season) and because of the play of the defense, they were winning games. Once they dropped to 5-4 that was enough of an excuse to put Manning in. It was a terrible situation. They lost 6 of their last 7 and what was once a promising season, ended up a train wreck
I cant believe ANY Ram fan would want THAT
The Giants didn't have #30, and they didn't have the 2016 LA Rams Defense! NUF said!

MMQB: The most pivotal player for the Rams is Mark Barron?

Just saying you've been MIA from the forum. How goes things?
Doing great, Jemma. Just took some time to live life a little before football starts.
We're back in Western North Carolina again after having spent a year living in Charleston.
You'll have to PM me your number again, because I got a new phone and no longer have it.

So how bout Fox eh?

Of the veterans I was hoping might get traded if we could find a partner...

DL.. E. Sims
DB.. L. Joyner
CB.. M. Roberson

Call me crazy but these 3 vets I'm all about trading, if Snead can FIND
a dance partner.......

A team who might be interested in Eugene Sims would be the Dallas Cowboys. He would be an immediate starter on that DL @ DE IMO. Not sure the Cowboys have a corner to exchange with.

Hard Knocks 4

I've been watching Hard Knocks the past couple of seasons. I didn't care about it when it first came out several years ago, but both times with the Falcons and Texans I was like, "What? Only 5 episodes?" I don't even give two shits for those teams either, but was thoroughly entertained. Are the early seasons available somewhere?

Would Goff Be Our Game One Starter If Not For Drops?

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/11205/jared-goff

The sooner FIsher is gone the better. Im tired of this garbage offensive scheme he wants to run. Hes completely out of reality with todays NFL. Gurley likely wont make it through the whole season I hate to say. Im fine with Keenum starting and Goff sitting but Mannion as the #2? Mannion isnt very good. Goff was setup to fail all pre-season.

I agree. If we're not careful - Fisher and his conservative bull crap offense is going to ruin the best years of Gurley. He's a thoroughbred racehorse - not a cart horse and should be used as such. If we wanted a bell cow he should have drafted Derrick Henry this year in the second and used that first on a WR or BPA instead of picking Goff and pick a QB next year instead, seen as we're redshirting Goff anyway.

I am extremely worried that our offense will lean on Gurley too heavily. He shouldn't be used as a 20 carry a game up the gut guy - but as a threat on any play to take it the distance which must be respected, and an elite stud to break the game open. As I said - think racehorse, not bell cow.

Just a few thoughts now that I've sobered up...

I thought is was common knowledge that he most certainly wasn't the most pro ready. I certainly knew he wasn't, and i'm definitely no genius when it comes to evaluating QB's transitioning to the NFL.

Who was saying that prior to the draft?

There were a number of pundits that felt he had the most tools.....

Still, many feel that the Air Raid Spread guys will have a steep learning curve.

Unless you play at one of about 10 schools, it is remedial QB 101 when you're drafted to the NFL.

If I was a HS QB wanting to play in the NFL, I'm going to Arkansas, Alabama, Stanford, LSU, maybe Georgia...having a real hard time thinking of colleges that require the QB to play from under center, run a play action scheme, repeat play calls and make protection calls.

I would not go to Oregon, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, TCU, Auburn, Ohio State, Clemson or Ole Miss. Gimmicky High School offenses.

Paul Mcroberts

He's got freakishly long arms and stride. If they can get lucky and hide him on the practice squad for a year he may be a hell of a threat eventually. He's obviously very raw though. But unlike Quick who has looked raw for 5 years now McRoberts actually fought for the ball when thrown his way and used his size to his advantage. Just don't have him return punts lol.

There are only 3 players I can see returning punts in the regular season. Tavon of course, then Cooper then Chase Reynolds.

So what's the contingency plan if Keenum goes down?

I'll say Mannion!

I just didn't like his over throws and no movement in the pocket at the end of the game. Don't get me wrong there are things about Goff that concern me, but when paired with most of the 1's he has looked pretty good. I hope Case stays healthy all year and Goff has a year to watch and learn. But if Case does go down I think Goff gives us the best chance. At least I hope so.

OFFICIAL ROD - Players cut by other teams we should sign thread.

WR Justin Hunter anyone?

Titans waived WR Justin Hunter.
Hunter was the 34th pick in the 2013 draft after ex-GM Ruston Webster executed a trade up with the 49ers to nab him. He showed some early-career promise in 2013 and 2014, catching 46 balls for 852 yards (18.52 YPR) and seven touchdowns, but the wheels came falling off when he got hurt at the end of the 2014 season and failed to take hold of a starting job in 2015. Hunter has an intriguing blend of size and speed at 6'4/203, but he's yet to seem to get "it." It wouldn't be a shock to see another team claim him off waivers based on perceived upside.Sep 2 - 12:07 PM

All of their 2nd round pick from 2011-2015 are now off the roster.

What do you want to see in Today's Final Pre-Season Game!?

This includes remarks on issues and people related to these topics as well.

Come on man. Kraperdick is definitely related to racism and politics, especially in the context in which you mentioned him.

Kaperdick... That's mature.
Let's knock this shit off. We can bash that idiot as long as he's a whiner - call him whatever we like. But this idea that he is somehow off the table because some want to defend or attack his motives, is just an excuse to start this bullshit.

Don't make the threads about him or about someone supposedly making them about him. Pretty simple really.

sorry one more goff thread

Well obviously the coaches disagree with you because the first pick of the 2016 draft is the #3 QB as it sits today.
And I disagree you can compare him to starting NFL QB's. He was picked No. 1 he's expected to play. Do I mind that needs a little seasoning before thrown to the wolves? No, I do not. However, he is now an NFL QB and is expected to play like one so Yes I can make the comparison. JMHO of course

yes.
