NFL reveals full schedule for Week 17: Cowboys, Steelers, Titans all flexed to add drama to playoff race

I mean he could but let's be honest here. Every single time Lamar plays a game he's risking the inevitable.

I totally agree, but Harbaugh reminds me of a guy who would go against the norm to stick it to a rival . He went a little overboard running it up on the Rams this year for no reason . I know he has to despise the Steelers .

Two titles, 210 straight starts, one Eli: How Manning conquered New York

He's elite anyway. 7th all time in pass yards and TDs.

2 time Super Bowl champ and MVP. 4 time Pro Bowler.

What more do people want in a QB?
You know how people are, he’s had some shitty seasons and if someone isn’t like Peyton the majority of his career he isn’t labeled elite.

Wait I just spelled out the arguments to why Goff isn’t elite??? Lol

Rams holiday charity events

Obviously not a Rams player but this was too good not to link.

Rams may have to choose between Cory Littleton and Dante Fowler

I'm not sure at all about this. Finding a LBer that can play the run and cover like CL is not going to be easy. I was worried about Barron leaving but, CL played better. The problem was they didn't have anyone to replace CL. Rams will need to find two IBLers. Not resigning CL opens another big hole. A later round draft pick will need some time to develop as CL did. I guess there is no easy answer to solving some of the future defensive question marks.

I understand the desire to keep him. I love him as a player. He's good at everything and tough as nails too. I think he's the best Ram LB since Fletcher so it would be unfortunate to have to let him walk. I just think the Rams should commit resources towards fortifying each side of the line after watching this year. I keep going back to Wade's Broncos and the Giants SB D's. Great pass rushers, solid run stopping lineman and journeyman LBs that were soild. It's nice to have a blue chip LB, but they aren't a necessity IMO.

Schadenfreude Thread... I know it's a cheap thrill BUT...

“How much longer is the world going to pretend Wilson is elite?”

:D:ROFLMAO::LOL:

At his position, he is. If you are chasing an improvement over Wilson, you’re going to be searching a while.

Enjoy having him, while you do.
Yeah it's a fan thing that is ridiculous. They see highlight after highlight of other QBs, listen to the idiot media, and fail to realize that no QB is dropping dimes non-stop. When it's your QB you tend to see and know the faults way more than most other fans do.

First Look: Rams host Cardinals in final game at Coliseum

First Look: Rams host Cardinals in final game at Coliseum

The Rams close out their season and time at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum hosting the Cardinals on Sunday.
In advance of the contest, here’s an early look at Arizona, including notable additions, their top statistical performers in their most recent game, where they rank in certain statistical categories as well as key storylines and what they mean for L.A.

Notable additions
  • Traded for RB Kenyan Drake in October. Acquired from the Dolphins in exchange for a conditional 2020 draft pick, Drake has 46 carries for 303 yards and six touchdowns over his last two games. Overall, he has 111 carries for 583 yards and seven touchdowns in seven games with the Cardinals after 47 carries for 174 yards and zero touchdowns in six games with the Dolphins.
  • Drafted QB Kyler Murray No. 1 overall in April. The former Oklahoma standout is the Cardinals' leading passer (3,397 yards) and second-leading rusher (544) so far this season.

Top performers in Week 16

Murray completed 11 of 18 pass attempts for 118 yards and one touchdown in a 27-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks. He exited the game late in the first half with a hamstring injury and did not return.

Drake led the backfield with 24 carries for 166 yards and two touchdowns, all game highs, adding three receptions for 18 yards.

WR Larry Fitzgerald led all Cardinals receivers with four receptions for 48 yards and one touchdown.
Defensively, linebacker Budda Baker led the way with six total tackles.

On special teams, kicker Zane Gonzalez made two of three field goal attempts and all three of his extra point attempts.

Rankings

Offense
  • Points Per Game: 17th (22.5)
  • Yards Per Game: 22nd (338.3)
  • Passing Yards Per Game: 24th (210.3)
  • Rushing Yards Per Game: 9th (127.9)
Defense
  • Points Allowed Per Game: 28th (27.4)
  • Yards Allowed Per Game: 31st (400.5)
  • Passing Yards Allowed Per Game: 31st (279.9)
  • Rushing Yards Allowed Per Game: 25th (120.6)
Early storylines to watch, and what they mean for the Rams

When the two teams met in Week 13, it was unclear how the backfield carries would shake out with Drake, David Johnson and Chase Edmonds all healthy and available for the Cardinals for the first time this season. Drake has since cemented the role of Arizona's No. 1 running back, and he's done so in dominating fashion as the aforementioned stats indicated.

The Rams' run defense bounced back from a disappointing performance against the Cowboys by holding the 49ers' rushing attack mostly in check, but it will undoubtedly be tested once again by Drake.

There's also the status of Murray as he deals with his hamstring injury. Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury told Arizona reporters on Monday that Murray is "day-to-day," and on Tuesday he said it is still unknown whether Murray or backup Brett Hundley will start against the Rams, according to AZCardinals.com's Kyle Odegard.

Goff INT against Cowboys - concerning?

You get a franchise QB when you can. Draft Picks are a craps shoot. Goff has been bad behind a Bad OL, and really good behind a really good OL; Like most Franchise QBs.

If we didn't move up and pick Goff #1 overall, we would have been in purgatory, picking around 15 -20 every year. Not good enough to make it to the playoffs, but not bad enough to have a crack at the top 1 or 2 QBs. There are a whole hell of a lot more Christian Ponder types then there are Pat Mahomes types in that 15-20 range. Every once in a while I go back and look at all of the first round QBs from the last 15 or 20 years. It is amazing how many flops there are. And I promise you every one of those guys was picked thinking they were a franchise QB.

I loved us trading up for Goff when we did. And he has shown that he can be very successful if you put a decent line in front of him.

I mean, do people really think he forgot how to play QB? Over and over I read, "I know the OL was trash this year, BUT....". or "We took him at #1,he should be good enough to do in with a bad OL..." or "I'm tired of the bad OL excuse..."

I have said it before, this year's Rams were a PLAY ACTION team with NO RUNNING GAME and BAD pass pro. The OL can't run block and for half the year couldn't pass protect at all. They have been better lately, but we have also been keeping extra guys in to help with protection.

MNF: Packers at Vikings

As depressing as it is to see the playoffs slip through their hands, the Rams are not a consistent formidable foe this year. It would have likely been a one and done endeavor. I have high hopes they will be a consistent upper tier team next year albeit with some tough decisions on coaching staff and player personnel.
I agree. Imagine if the Rams actually played all year like they did against New Orleans (was that this year?) Seattle, and parts of this Niner game.

They would be heading into the playoffs with a pretty strong shot.

Bought my own Christmas Present

In 50 plus years I've never ran across anything like it , so I had to buy myself a Christmas gift .
Thanks to my Rams ON Demand buddy for posting it . My grandsons are going to get quite the haul of Rams gear this year . I'd be happy to share the photos on Christmas if someone would like to PM me on how to finally do it .

Rams vs Niners anti vent thread

Great game, just a couple plays short.
- missed GregZ kick
- blown Deebo coverage

3 plays decided our fate this season, these 2 + the GregZ missed kick vs. Seattle. Really, lots more plays than that; for some reason we really struggled in the RZ this year. Kept trying to get too cute I guess & not just pound Gurley in there. Get the running game going & next year we're back in the post-season.

I'd take this season over the 10 prior to McVay's arrival!! and we still got some Curds to chew on next week to take out some frustration. 9-7 in a softer division gets us in, smh.
Love this team, have since the magic '99 season (hence the moniker).
