DzRams Mock Offseason of 2025 1.0

If they get Higgins I don’t think they would put to much into drafting a reciver that high they would just use Whittington in the slot
You may be right. I'm just not sold on Whittington being starter quality but the Rams may view him in a more favorable light. Slot is so important to McVay's system that I'm skeptical that he would just turn it over to Whitt and be done.

In the event that you are correct and WR is not as high a priority after a free agent signing, I'd do something akin to:

40 - CB, Trey Amos or Azareye'h Thomas
70 - TE, Elijah Arroyo or Mason Taylor
90 - OT, Anthony Belton
100 - RB, Dylan Sampson
126 - WR, Pat Bryant
5th - WR, Kobe Hudson

They need more bodies to fill out the WR room even if they sign a free agent since they may lose 4 with a Kupp trade, so I would double dip the position.

The THRASH Metal Thread

Thanks @RecklessRams you got good taste in music!

Testament has always been under appreciated. Should have been about as big as Metallica. Wish I would have been into them earlier.

I like Jesse’s stuff a lot, too. Just an amazing band.

Name Your Favorite Led Zeppelin album

I had to. There was an old Werewolf show I watched growing up this was the theme song. Loved 'In Through The Out Door,' too.

In through the outdoor is incredible.

It was a bit different than past albums.
Not better or worse, just different.
It was very reflective, of what Plants solo career would sound like.

Davante Adams interested in the Rams

I was more referring to his high dependence on 11 personnel than how he used Kupp/Nacua. Part of his rationale and explanation in the past for the dependence on 11 is he's wanted uniform looks so the defense doesn't know what's coming.

I'm skeptical he's going to make an abrupt change and use a lot of 12. Sure, he used a TE more in Washington, but in 8 years with the Rams he's used very little 12 personnel. Even with Everette, it didn't look like the intent was necessarily to get two TEs on the field.

Now, to be fair, he's talking about wanting to be more versatile. I guess I'll believe it when I see it. I've seen evolution but not abrupt changes from McVay.
I think the personnel will determine whether it's an abrupt change or not. McVay certainly likes to do things a certain way like using uniform looks but I think if you watch his work going back to the Redskins, personnel has dictated what he's done more than rules like making things uniform.

He's used little 12 personnel with the Rams because his players didn't dictate that. Everette wasn't good enough to make 12 personnel more useful. I suspect if they take one of the top TEs in this draft we'll see a significant increase in 12. And I think it's looking like the talent late 1st to mid rounds at TE is superior to WR in many respects so I can see him going that way.

Goffing, depicted in one image.

Stafford is not an elite QB. I can't think of any signature playoff comebacks. Never won anything in Detroit.

Had an opportunity this weekend to pull one of the bag and didn't happen.
Could have commented on a lot of these posts but this is by far the horrid inaccurate post of this thread. Seriously?!

Honestly must be a new Rams fan but you been a member since 2017, so either You are Jared Goff creeping on ROD with a burner or have very a bad memory.

NFL Honors Tonight (Torry Holt has got to make it this time)

Should we start a separate thread for Verse DPOY? Thats an impressive honor considering there were some good candidates. Including our own Braden Fiske. Two of the top 3 for the honor belongs to our team. People questioning if giving up a future 2nd for Fiske was worth it. I'd say it was.

I remember the talk that you can't replace Aaron Donald. They'll have to do it by committee. The committee consists of Verse/Fiske/Turner/Young. I'd say they're gonna be wreaking havoc for years to come. Maybe that should be their nickname. The Committee.

WR in the draft or Free agency?

I guess it should have been blue font, but honestly, the Rams would absolutely take #3 for Stafford, don't you think? Perhaps they don't love Ward or Sanders, but that pick is worth a ton to someone that does. Trade down and acquire ammo for next year.

Ultimately, I think there is no way Giants would even offer #3.
We would be stupid not to take the #3 overall pick if that's what the Giants offered. We could trade back and get even more picks. Doubt that would happen but I pray that they're that stupid.

Is this Cooper Kupp's last season with the Rams?

Or they could actually be much better. Puka is a younger and faster version of Kupp. Having two of the same type of player on the field was redundant. McVay touched on trying to get more versatile on offense.. a receiver with a different skill set could be the answer.
We are 12-5 with both on the field, with only 1 we are a losing team and under .500. We only started to win WHEN Kupp got back in the lineup both years.
