Which 2025 draftee would you trade up for, if any? Why or why not?

First off let me salute the name you selected I love it. Secondly congrats on your daughter attending Boise State and I wish her the best, I meant no disrespect to the students there. Also to Jeanty I am sure he is a fine talent guess my judgment is a tad clouded because of my scarlet & grey colored glasses and the way I feel about TreVeyon Henderson.

I appreciate calling me out and now for my decision on the Broncos of Boise State and their football program.

Who do you take at 26?

From Jourdan on QB (with Snead quotes):

The Rams are open to drafting a quarterback this April, but say they won’t reach for one and understand other teams might want to trade into the first round at their pick point (No. 26) for that player. Both Snead and McVay have previously expressed interest in bringing a young player in to learn from veteran starter Matthew Stafford, with the intent that the drafted quarterback one day start.

“Always open to drafting a quarterback,” Snead said. “Usually another team who gets into that more serious level usually drafts that player earlier than we (would).

“If a team really thinks that player is their next QB, it’s not like they’re going, ‘Hey, let’s wait till the middle of the second round. Let’s do it now.’ … If the right guy fell to No. 26, and maybe he’s the right guy for another team, they might want to move into the first round (and) draft that guy. So maybe that is better for the Rams than picking that ‘right’ guy. That’s how to honestly answer that question. And then to be honest about the dishonesty, if we were really looking at a QB at No. 26, we would probably say an answer like that.”

Snead added that keeping Stafford for at least one more season — especially in combination with a young roster that outperformed expectations for consecutive seasons — puts the Rams in a “win-now” scenario and if the draft falls toward a player who fits into that, they’ll select him.
That makes sense and several of us have been saying that very thing. The Rams aren’t likely to overdraft a QB, and would be more inclined to take a player that helps them win now. If that guy isn’t there they likely try to trade back.

Rams sign LB Landman for 1 year

OTC has ... At Least ... up-dated for all the Rams' additions and re-signings, except for the Stafford re-structure;

OTC still may not be correct, as it has Kupp's Dead-$ at $22M. If Kupp's release was a post-June 1 designation (as reported), I believe his Dead-$ for 2025 is $15M, with another $7M in 2026. Furthermore, it has recently increased Jonah Jackson's 2025 Dead-$. No idea if that is correct.

Spotrac has been totally fucked-up for two weeks now; and, in my opinion, should be completely ignored until it can figure-out that Cooper Kupp should not count TWICE against the Rams' 2025 salary cap.

Kupp's release will incur dead money in 2025, then off the salary cap books in 2026

Pastoors confirmed that the $12 million signing bonus that came with Kupp's contract he signed with the Seahawks offset the Rams owing him that in 2025. However, by being released, the remaining money owed to him on his contract prorates to 2025, which means the Rams will, in total, occur a dead money charge of around $22 million this year.
Kupp will be off the salary books next year.

Richard Chamberlain has passed away

SHOGUN was must see TV during the time of the mini-series. He was good as Anjin-San.

My mom and I both read the James Clavell Asian Saga in the 80s. Shogun, Tai-Pan, King Rat and Noble House. Gai-Jin didn’t come out until 1995. And Whirlwind also came out later.

He was amazing in the Shogun mini-series as he was in the Thornbirds as a priest who has an affair with Rachel Ward.

We’re gonna watch the newest Shogun miniseries. She lives with me now, but with my health stuff, we haven’t been able to watch that or the last season of Reacher.

RIP to the king of the mini-series.

The Concerts Thread 2025

Strange.
I wonder why.
They certainly have plenty of material. Were they playing with several other bands?
Outside of having a shortened set because there were more bands it would piss me off given what tickets cost now.
Its the Seaport in Boston. Great venue. Played with Technine, Black Viel Brides and Dance gavin dance. In this location they do have to be done by 11PM. The other bands only for 30 - 45 minutes too. Cheap ticket though. We had great seats (not a bad seat in the house) and paid $65 per seat.

Where's the link to the documentary on building sofi

I remember December of 2014 & was right out in front after downing a whole bottle of Red.
The Bulldozers were ready to GO!!
When did the STL Dome date end ?
-Stan paid his suit, but Demoff knew what was UP as well. There was still a lot of Red Tape & hush hush going on.
I was one of the first people let in with the public. Before that a year I walked down Century Blvd from the Airport.Bought a beer for the walk.Turned left on prairie blvd.
They were still pouring cement for the walk ways.Dropped my pants right there & got into my bathing trucks. The memories cement in my relationship.Actually past & present. The Forum is still a cool place. To think if you take a right your at a Clippers game.
-I guess I have a new bucket list.Started a thread way back & have posted about a few things.
The cool thing is 2028,or maybe not ? I’d say the games will be intense.I can’t even imagine now ?
—Let’s hope it happens!

Intel with Greg Cosell

Interesting w/ ILBers.

Jihaad Campbell is still my pick at 26 if he makes it out.He could have gone on & on about him.

The character is there, a long with how athletic he is.I liked how he says he is a Edge Rusher as well.

IMO he would fit Shula’s Defense well.He will add an element of disguise, because he is a do it all LBer.

Talks about him not a big hit & shake. The one guy brought up how he gets around guys, but Cossel says as long as he doesn’t lose Gap responsibility .
-From what I noticed & liked about him is he’s stop & Go.He gets to the spot SO Fast!! It’s like he is 1 step ahead. He has patience & then a burst that is RARE!!
-The Rams use a MLBer to rush up the middle. In The NFL you can GAP rush & his feel to close could help with a lot of TFL up front. He has the speed to close a GAP as well fighting through a seam.

There are a few other ILB that he went through, but Campbell is the only FIRST RD inside LBer. He did talk about the EDGE RUSHER from Georgia saying he could play ILBer.

I agree with that, and he talked last about Georgia’s mlb. JALEN WALKER is a guy that I agree with him as a ILBer.At least a Hoecht type with more deversablity .Meaning he can cover TE’s & RB’s in the Flat.
I see Jihaad Campbell having those same skills & might even be a better Edge Rusher ??

Puka - “Retirement at 30”

Its whatever. I said alot of things when I was 23 and thought I had the world figured out. But the reality is, once you make a certain amount of money, you don't need to do this job anymore. The people that continue love this sport more then anything else. Quite frankly, I think retiring at 30 is probably the healthier decision if he still decides to do so then.
