Rams Signing QB Dresser Winn

Overview
Winn has decent size, a quality arm and impressive touch when needed, but teams will not be excited by his career production. Despite facing loads of pressure, he was sacked just 27 times during his career, per PFF. He has improvisational arm talent to make the challenging completion from time to time. He’s a pocket passer with below-average escapability and needs to prove that he can perform more consistently from the pocket. Winn offers passing traits that could intrigue a team enough to give him a look as an undrafted free agent.
Strengths
  • Shows improvisational ability to get the ball out.
  • Arm talent to deliver throws off-balance.
  • Delivers field-side throws with solid velocity.
  • Has a fastball for window throws and a changeup when needed.
  • Deep balls feature impressive touch and placement.
Weaknesses
  • Career production does not stand out.
  • Falls off of throws when he feels pressured.
  • Has trouble finding a quality platform when sliding the pocket.
  • Ball placement on intermediate hash throws is below average.

The legend of Brock Purdy

What has hurt Purdy is the shitter defense giving up 24ppg over the past 3 games. That means the run game patience is not there and he must step up and play outside the perfectly balanced conditions Shanny can create when his defense is dominant.

Nobody talking about the shitter defense but hopefully their issues continue. And either way this kid will come up short in the playoffs because there will be teams that can stop that run game and put everything on the QB.

Thank you Tampa Bay for

I think Stafford needs to try and play. If we were playing a team that is way better than us like Dallas we could afford to sit him because we would probably lose anyway with or without him. A winnable game like this against Green Bay I'd rather have a banged up Stafford than a straight up CANT PLAY Brett Rtpien. Especially since this game can Define playoffs or no playoffs. Staff would have a week to rest afterwards. Tape it up Matthew, like Jared did against Seattle in Playoffs.

Why don't the Rams.....

Seems like our young secondary started the year surprisingly solid, and instead of ascending with experience as expected, they deteriorated. I guess teams figured them out pretty quickly.
Happens with most teams when offenses can’t sustain drives. That’s not necessarily a dig at the offense, but let’s look at the facts, when the offense sustained drives (and had a run game) the D looked good. When they didn’t, the D suffered.

Except against the cowboys. That was the freshman team going against Varsity on both sides of the ball.

Snaps VS Dal

I didn't think much of Lake prior to this season but they might have something there. He's starting to show a bit. Dude certainly has talent though I don't think he's gonna cut it as a nickel. If he's gonna be important for us he'll need to crack that starting duo and show something there.

Fuller is solid I think. Yeast has been solid too. But right now the Rams are probably wondering whether Lake can step in for Fuller when he leaves in FA. And there's only one way to know that.

When I knew it has ended

Kupp hasn't been the same guy. He looks sluggish. Wondering if he rushed back.

Nacua is a rookie. He was bound to make mistakes so it's no big deal that he's shown some cracks. He'll work through them.

Easy part of the sched is ahead. Things will almost surely look better for us, assuming Stafford is still upright and health overall is decent for the roster.

GAME DAY GDT: Steelers at Rams - Game Day Thread

I got a kick out of this:

In the aftermath of a 20-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, an obviously frustrated Diontae Johnson sounded off about the officiating crew that he believes cost the Pittsburgh Steelers the game.

The Steelers wide receiver was especially upset about an offside call on right guard Isaac Seumalo -- who was whistled for lining up in the neutral zone -- that negated a 55-yard Chris Boswell field goal. Boswell's ensuing attempt after the penalty sailed wide right.

If the field goal stood, it would've cut the Jaguars' lead to three going into the half.

"Refs were just killing us the whole game,"

Johnson's final thought was probably something like:
"The Refs gave us last week's game against the Rams ... Why didn't they hand us the game today? It's not fair."

GAME DAY The Late Games - Week 8

Lol The Renters... I dunno what other people's history with the Chargers is, but they were always the AFC team I rooted for. As for the media, I'm not sure what the general consensus is, but I'd rather not absorb too much of it! Too much "man, isn't he something??!!" bs just grinds my gears.

I personally don't care either way on the Chargers.

As far as media, the only thing I liked was Skip and Shannon. Especially in 21...that was entertaining AF. Sometimes the Jets stuff with Rich Eisen and Mike Greenburg is hilarious tho.

There is a huge double standard in media. You're not wrong. Ie the whole mortgage the future for the Rams bit not a whisper with the shitters.

The Season Went Downhill When Kyren Got Hurt

Yeah lots of reasons for the nosedive but I do agree Williams was a big element.

Every week we continue feeding Henderson, btw, we will probably lose. Sorry to say it but this offense looks a certain way when he's in the backfield and it's not good. Not all his fault mind you but it's an interesting truth that you simply cannot rely on him to take over a game. Ever. Good backs will do that time to time even behind our OL.
