Amazing how good our players are considered when people picture them as non Rams. My Green Bay Packer buddy is so stoked about that sticky-handed stud Jared Cooked. Keenum isn't good enough to be anyones backup, just maybe good enough to start for the champs. We all know about future hall of famer McCleod. Mike Remmers out there tonight....
If you can’t get enough of Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher, then The Jeff Fisher Show is for you. It airs on September 13 starting at 6:00 p.m. PT on ESPNLA 710 AM. Via the team’s official Twitter: Fisher will be joined by J.B. Long (ESPNLA Rams radio network play-by-play) and former Rams defensive tackle D’Marco Farr. The show will air every Monday night after the premiere. It will be taped live from Bogies at the Westlake Village Inn and open to the public.
Wentz was the perfect fit for the 2016 Jeff Fisher/Boras run first Rams and those that championed for Carson are going to be sick every game he gets better for the Eagles and puts on a highlight show.
Seemed like it, huh? More reps in practice...Starter reps...with the ones....that's all I want....spoon feed this kid....instead, we got Weinke babying him on fucking camera....
I can respect what you're saying but don't see it. I mean Seattle and AZ very good teams. Yet others we play are not even near their level. I think it's more on Fisher and preparing. Maybe it's a let down we have after winning a big game? Who the hell knows, but it's perplexing.
Agree with many here in that nothing is surprising about us being listed here all though the words "no chance" is stupid in today's NFL parity. This franchise inspires no one outside of us fans and even that is becoming hard for some of us. I always have hope but respect will have to be earned back.
Catching up with Hard Knocks on this side of the pond. Could not believe the Rams gave up all those picks for a guy who'd never taken a snap under centre and never called a play in the huddle. Is there a precedence for QB's so inexperienced in a pro style offence having a great pro career?
Steelers D was 3rd in the league in sacks behind NE and Denver last year. 11th in points, and with some guys beat up. Secondary should be a lot better there this season.
Thinking its a rematch of Steelers-Cardinals this year personally, with the caveat of those QBs staying healthy.
Very valid points and I can't debate the stats, but I did not think the Steelers defense was that good last year and yes, if not for a fumble by the 3rd string RB, they would've have beaten Denver, but let's not get ahead of ourselves there because they have never beaten Tom Brady.
Anyway as to Coates, he drops the ball nothing Big Ben can do if you can't catch and as to Eli Rogers, we shall see, but I do like him.
I wish him well, as you, and many of us do. In fact, he liked my treet to him. Honestly, the dude can't play Center, and that is where we needed him.
If he would have torn it up at Center, with Goff....he would easily have made our team. He hurt Goff, and hurt himself. If he just played Guard, he could....could, have made the team. We needed a Center/Guard type , which greatly helps the game day 45.
Rams defensive coordinator Mike Waufle joins Mason and Ireland to discuss the Rams defensive system, Aaron Donald's impact and Colin Kaepernick's anthem protest.
Kind of brings back the Keenum hit to the head last year. Left him in and the Rams caught hell (rightly so) but it's alright if Fig Newton stays in. Still, GREAT game!
Nice observation, I was thinking about that at some point in the game, but it really brought it together for me when I read your comparison to Keenum, that may have a lot to do with one teams success and the others failure, wink wink.
Thanks for your opinion but the majority of the people who have read my stuff on here like it. Why do I put so many clicks? I'll tell you why. I try to put articles but they either barely get read anymore or they do but no one visits my site...
"Mannion? Onion? Who da hell is dat?" (Only the Pac 12 All time record holder in passing)
Sometimes it is better to say nothing and have others think you are ignorant, than to open Stephen A. Smiths mouth and remove all doubt.
Does he EVER miss an opportunity to knock Fisher?
Edit: Smith ACTUALLY is admitting that he would put Goff on the active roster just to appease any kind of image, and for political reasons of appearances. Nevermind that he might not be ready??? Would any owner want to hire someone with such a dearth of integrity as Stephen A. Smith? Is he even a man? What a pussy. Jeff Fisher is twice the man you are.
It's not a good idea imho to assume the 9ers are a dumpster fire, or to underestimate any opponent. The 9ers will play strong D up front and run creative plays and formations on O. These will challenge our D to match up correctly with personnel and to show we have grown up in terms of play recognition so we do not give up long plays. Obviously SF lacks playmakers on O, and if we play our A game we will win, but if we turn the ball over or fail to take advantage of scoring opportunities we could lose.
My thoughts exactly, Barron's hybrid role will create a lot of opportunities to disguise our defense. Ogletree also has familiarity at the safety position and will contribute to disguising our defense. The LB/SS role is one of Williams's specialties.
Only one of them won a Superbowl. And those were pretty good teams too. RGIII and Sanchez weren't even kept by those teams that rushed them in. Pushing them onto the field ruined their careers. That's why Ryan can't win a playoff game and everybody is still waiting on Luck. Flacco got lucky once, and fell right back.
Heh. Being sarcastic, but really, that's proof of absolutely nothing. Goff is his own man.
Just signed a contract....for what I wanna say was around $20 million a year...could be less...could be more...for 2 years....Which has been picked up by Minnesota...He was begging to get released after he signed it...Knowing full well he'd be employed for the 2016 season...Finished 2015 as one of the hottest QB's over the last 8 weeks...passer rating....all that stuff....with pretty average weapons....Again, Sam's play isn't, nor has it ever been the problem....It's his health, rather, the risk of can he stay healthy for an NFL season....
Yeah, he was so great they moved heaven and earth to move up for Carson Wentz. They knew Bradford's history when they got him from us,so there is that....And as for it all being in my mind, explain the "Bradford Bitch and Complain Line "dedicated to ragging on Sam Bradford at the Eagles flagship Radio Station?
This all started with some trying to compare how great Wentz is, or has looked in practice I guess....and using that comparison to dump on Goff..You want to do that, knock yourself out. I am just saying like I said earlier, after listening to the FANATIC in Philadelphia, ever since the Bradford-Foles trade happened, that they all knew Sam Bradford wasn't the answer for them. But with Sam, Carson Wentz would have been red shirting this year behind Bradford and Daniel, per station contributor and Eagles insider Ron Jaworski. Jaws also said that he would have preferred that Daniel start for the next few weeks, because Wentz wasn't ready, in his opinion.......
Spotrac has it about $2.mil less, and both Austin's & Ogletree's 5'th year option CAP hits had already been counted towards the total 2017 CAP in my earlier estimates. I believe Austin's new 4 year contract begins in 2018 and is extended thru 2021.
I don't have the 2017 5'th year option salaries on hand, so i've been using the Spotrac's figures at WR & MLB.
After 60 years , TOPPS will no longer be producing NFL Trading cards ( They still do baseball and stuff )
I used to collect TOPPS football cards as a kid , and then as I got older , there just got to be way to many different kinds so I stopped , but ever year I would still get the Rams team set , I have every Rams team set since 1968 , but it looks like that run has come to an end
It looks like now , Panini has the exclusive rights to NFL trading cards
This will be the first time in 40 some years , I haven't collected a TOPPS trading card ,and will have to switch to Panini if I want to continue my Rams sets
No more Jerry Lewis Telethon , no more TOPPS NFL Trading cards
Vermeil and Martz created the perfect offense for a fast track domed stadium.
I can still remember staring in disbelief during one of Spagz first press conferences when he was incoherently babbling on about how he was going to create a "ball control offense", in a domed stadium. What an idiot.
Fisher should be coaching in Chicago, Buffalo, or Green Bay where his preferred plodding and unimaginative offense is not such a hinderance during the nasty weather conditions encountered in winter.
