Even before this week's game is played, when is over .500 considered "losing" ? Putz.

TBH, the Lions would be 1-4 but for a miracle fumble by the Eagle RB deep in his own end of the field in the closing minutes.

The Lions recovered and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

If our O can start to execute instead of sputtering, we should win this one. But that might be a big "if".

My guess is Fisher's agent is the one working out a deal with whoever the Rams rep is. Probably Demoff. Fisher is probably just concentrating on the team while he agent negotiates everything.

In his presser yesterday Fisher said Hayes-Brockers-Quinn and Wichman all practiced yesterday! But he didn't elaborate on their degree of practice, Limited/Full etc.!

I'm not saying the spread is "bad" for QBs, per se. What I would say is that it doesn't prepare QBs for the complexities of the Pro game for a number of reasons. Moreover, as we've seen for decades now, it is increasingly difficult to parse how a QB from a Spread Variant will have their physical skills and mental acuities transfer to the Pro game than ever.

Couple that with the pressures on HCs to have Rookies produce NOW and HCs typical reluctance to change for Rookies (although, those that have...have had success. I won't bother listing them. We all know them) and you have a "what does 'getting painted into a corner' look like in real life" scenario.

The college game and pro game are at cross purposes. Heck, the needs of the HC and the requirements of rookie QBs are at cross purposes at the moment.

Seems I have been watching Troy Hill's play since the first pre season game this season. I was happy from what I observed from Troy Hill thus far. Fisher has not drafted a DB since 2014 but he did draft four. Three remain here as starters in this 2016 defense. The 4th DB CB Bryant was released before the regular season.

Fisher has been trying to find a replacement for CB Bryant & the IR Brian Randolph ever since. Fisher has been looking over two SS types for over a month now in Isaiah Johnson & Marqui Christian. Appears that Christian has the upper hand now & will be the 4th safety this Sunday.

Very similar to what he did late last season with Troy Hill & Eric Patterson. IMO Fisher & Williams got real lucky with DB Troy Hill discovery. With Trumaine Johnson out Fisher has another newby signed in CB Dwayne Gratz who was cut by the Jags. Our corners Sunday will be Gaines, Troy Hill, Gratz & Nickle back Joyner.

By the 4th quarter of the Bills game Fisher had 3 UDFA's & 1 WWC starting on the field in this defense. Troy Hill was one of them. As some of us knew ...that's what happens when you trade away all those high draft selections in your 2016 & 2017 drafts.

Easley had the much better game but Thomas also seemed to play better in the 2nd half too. Easley was seen on the field @ the Aaron Donald position when AD was getting DE action or when he was getting a rest. There were a few plays when both were side by side inside & it was 3 rd & long situations. DE & AD are a handful side by side inside on passing downs.

Sims also saw some action inside too & ES just performs better inside than on the edge IMO. The thing with ES is he is well over 6-6 with very long arms he is hard to throw over if he gets his big mitts up something he is capable of doing more often but has not cashed in on as of yet.

Cam Thomas is a WWC nothing more. Early before the draft I was hoping that the Org would have gone late in the draft for a NT like Vincent Valentine late 2nd day selection but they traded away that pick for Goff. then I was in the chat banging the drum for NT DJ Reader but they went WR & TE instead. You can go back early this year where I posted many times my concerns over an injury to Brockers & what it would do to this Gregg Williams defense. My nightmare was in full glory in the first half of last weeks game.

Brockers, Quinn & Hayes stood on the sideline last Sunday helpless. The linemen comprise three-fourths of the Rams’ starting defensive front. But injuries prevented them from aiding teammates trying to stop Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy. The Rams are accustomed to missing a player or two from a position group because of injuries. Not three.

“The past couple years, it’s been one guy out for a little bit of time,” Brockers said Friday, adding, “It wasn’t a good feeling. But deep in the back of your mind you know it was a good decision.”

The trio's status for Sunday's game at Detroit is uncertain. Brockers, Hayes and Quinn were limited Friday and are listed as questionable. Their availability won’t be determined until after warm-ups at Ford Field, the first stop on a 10-day trip that concludes with an Oct. 23 game against the New York Giants outside London.

Last month, Brockers signed a three-year extension worth about $33 million, according to spotrac.com. He is nursing a hip injury suffered during practice. The 6-foot-5, 326-pound tackle tested his condition on the field before warmups last Sunday but was not able to play. He is “really hopeful” that he will be available against the Lions, he said. “I feel good,” he said. “And as long as I can protect myself out there I think I’ll be able to go.”

Hayes suffered an ankle injury at Tampa Bay on Sept. 25 and sat out against Arizona and Buffalo. He said his goal was to return sometime between Sunday and the bye week that follows the team’s return from London “I doubt if I go Sunday,” he said, “but next Sunday looks really good.” Hayes sustained the injury during the first half of the Rams’ 37-32 victory over the Buccaneers. He went to the locker room for treatment but returned after Eugene Sims was ejected. Hayes said coming back into the game did not exacerbate the injury.“I didn’t do anything to aggravate it,” he said. “The damage had kind of already been done. “I felt I could go out and battle with my guys. That’s what I get paid to do.”

Quinn is nursing a shoulder injury suffered against Arizona. Coach Jeff Fisher said Brockers, Hayes and Quinn still had time to heal before the game against the Lions. “They’ve got, what, 48 hours, 46 hours or something like that, from now,” Fisher said after practice. “Each passing day, they’re getting better. Obviously we need them, especially against this group.”

The Lions feature quarterback Matthew Stafford and receiver Marvin Jones, a formidable combination that the Rams hope to slow down by creating pressure with their pass rush. Stafford is completing 68% of his passes, 10 for touchdowns, with four interceptions. “He’s been making throws that not very many quarterbacks can make, with his mobility, his arm strength,” Rams defensive coordinator Gregg Williams said. “But he understands, you can see it, that he’s taking the next step as a quarterback being the pseudo-offensive coordinator, too.”

Last week, the Rams struggled at times to contain Buffalo quarterback Tyrod Taylor and could not slow McCoy during the first half of a 30-19 defeat at the Coliseum. Ends Ethan Westbrooks and Eugene Sims played in place of Hayes and Quinn, and tackles Cam Thomas and Dominique Easley rotated in place of Brockers.“They played pretty solid,” Williams said of the line. “It was a few guys behind the ball, behind the defensive line,” that must improve.

Against the Lions, the Rams’ secondary will be without Trumaine Johnson. The franchise cornerback suffered an ankle injury against Buffalo and could be sidelined several weeks. Troy Hill will start in his place opposite cornerback E.J. Gaines.

I get the "lower the interest rate on your credit card" call frequently. Strange since I only have one besides my debit card and I don't ever use it. I never call back.

My poor mom clicks on everything she gets in her email. She has had 5 ransom viruses. Three were fakes that I could bypass. Two had to go to the computer repair service, and the first one she sent the $99.00 to the site that gave her the virus. It took the guy three hours to get it off of her computer. I told her if she is going to pay to have it removed, pay a legitimate business, not the scammers.

The defender just ran away from Saffold to the runner. The hole was there, they did their job blocking and Gurley blew the play. I understand Gurley is sacrosanct to some and cannot be critiqued but it is clear on this play. He passed up a nice hole in lue of trying to bounce for a big gain. Amatuerish run. Let's not forget Saint Todd taking a scoring opportunity away with one of two fumbles inside Buffalo territory. The running game has sucked. Mostly O line issues but things are usually not that simple. This play illustrates a RB either ignoring the play design or not seeing a big hole right in front of him. Either way that is a big issue if this is happening more than we realize.

I think some people haven't been watching the same games I have. I completely agree with this post.

Gurley has been just as bad as the offensive line has been.

In every game I've watched he has had horrible vision and made the wrong cut many times.

The offensive line has been garbage at times as well- but if you go and look at the film with open eyes you will see that Gurley is playing poorly.

He has some good moments where his talent shines, and others where the line just blows it for him.

But just as many times he is not seeing the field and being impatient. He needs to get his shit together.
