Well...I broke down

Been eyeballing a few 2016 Silverado 2500 to replace My 08, but decided to put whatever truck payment is into retirement account for the rest of the year and will make a move for a new 2017 after the 2018s come out

Nice looking ride Juggs...good luck with it

FYI my grandfather used to say he didn't need a horn, because the front of his truck always said "Dodge"

Inside the minds of the NFL’s six new coaches which gives insight into the draft

Like Benoit said in the opening paragraph the draft will give more insight to what Rams think of their current cast of characters at WR and TE. Based on tape I've watched of the Skins offense Benoit is spot on in his evaluation of McVay's scheme. Therefore, IMO there will be several additions probably earlier than later in the draft. Guys like Higbee and Cooper could be contributors, but we don't know. Even if those guys are contributors McVay stated "you can never have enough play makers in almost all of his interviews". Their presence shouldn't stop a new coach who is calling plays from handpicking guys that fit his system and potentially adding guys who are more talented.

I am not of the opinion of simply blaming the coaches for all of the offensive struggles. Everyone can agree the coaches deserve alot of blame, but when you are 32nd in offense 2 years in a row and one of the worst scoring offenses of the last 10 years there is more to it than that.
Really liked your post...To your point, look at this
http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/08/02/...oordinator-head-coach-kirk-cousins-jay-gruden
“It didn’t matter where Sean came from, how old he was—the dude knew it better than anyone else,” says Cooley. “He was the best.

“I remember, in the first week that he took over, I was finally being coached intricately on some of the things that go into the tight end position. He taught every tiny nuance. I wish I would’ve gotten to work with him a lot longer. I loved all the coaches that I played for. I absolutely did. But I would’ve been better if I had worked with Sean for my entire career. I have no doubt about that.”
This stands out. It makes me take a pause. I kinda feel Snead & Demoff have finally hit a homerun.
As to your other opinion about the wrs...and the types of players, playmakers...he seems to prefer a nice blend.
http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/06/02/washington-redskins-wide-receivers-offense-nfl
On paper, Washington boasts one of the most exciting groups of offensive playmakers in football for the first time in decades. The 2015 season saw the emergence of tight end Jordan Reed (87 catches, 952 yards, 11 touchdowns) and wide receiver Jamison Crowder, who in his first season out of Duke broke Art Monk’s team rookie record for receptions with 59 catches for 604 yards from the slot. Adding first-round rookie Josh Doctson out of TCU to a group that also includes 29-year-olds Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson was a head-scratcher to some, given Washington’s needs on defense.
I thought Doctson was the best wr in the draft last year. I liked Mike Thomas too...not that one...the Saints guy.
He grew up around TO...Jeff Garcia, 9ers of Montana & Rice..He played wr in college. Option QB in high school. Coached TE's...The guy bleeds offensive sets...and is imaginative & innovative. Young enough to take opinions from valued staff members. I'll say it again...I really like the Yarber hiring. I can't see these guys grabbing a wr in the 2nd unless they really believe that there's a 1st round talent that slipped.

Jake Ellenbogen's 2017 L.A. Rams Mock Draft 4.0

Good job Jake. Love that TE. Kinda like Goodwin ( I know it's GOD-win, but he gotta do something to even get spelled like that) but I'd rather take a corner or a FS @37 or wherever we traded down to in this mock....Hell, I thought you were going to get Jarrad Davis when I saw the picture!!!!!
Fuller, fish, and teez are a big no....You remind me of an old friend in here, @CoachO with this
Jalen (I'm not calling him Teez) Tabor.
he didn't like to call Ray Ray, Ray Ray....LOLOLOL
Fuller is from Baylor...very different scheme in blocking. Fish looks slow in videos...and this class is loaded with deep safety players. Teez ran a 4.7 at his pro day... 4.7....from Florida...Can we sneak Quincy Wilson in there instead?
I still really like the idea of giving Demetrius Rhaney a chance to earn the starting job,
as far as Rhaney...you can't be serious. LOL

Analazone...man I was looking at him in the senior bowl...smooth athlete...great size...just a great looking player...then I learned about his history. Seriously...I like players that look like him...I like a bunch of the guys at Florida...I like Teez...but I don't want him on the Rams...But I do agree, you strengthen a team up front, and up the middle..just like baseball. Analazone fixes a weakness against the run.

Bonsignore: Rams GM Les Snead on offseason moves, Sean McVay and Jared Goff

I'm pretty satisfied with McSnead so far.
This free agency was more active than the entire Snisher era combined.

I feel like next year is a "prove-it" year for a lot of guys.

Snead did say he wants to excelerate The Rams being successful every year for the fans of LA .

It's always a prove it Year. You might just see some surprises on the improvement of young players.
Copper , Higbee , Thomas , Gaines

L.A. Rams @ Seattle Seahawks

I only got 2 flv, and have no clue why. Just posted my opinion. :icare:(prolly get another "inap" for this post too, ):violin: :sadwalk: I'll be fighting mad if I get that "Brady" sig though.:boxing:

Really folks the "likes are nice if you really care what folks think. I guess when you get my age (pushing 70) you tend not to care too much about it.

Owners approve 8 new rules, 4 new bylaws, 1 new resolution

I'm surprised no one has said anything about this.... There should be an uproar!! All the highlights on e$pn show Seahawks doing it, and a few patriots highlights, but no Rams highlights??? Pretty sure we invented this play, right? Copycats!!!
Yeah, it's a little annoying, but I actually just saw a clip showing Troy Polamalu doing it in a game.

Other teams FA news

Any interest in Bills ILB Preston Brown? Doesnt fit Bills now since there switching to a 4-3. Any thoughts on him?

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9590/preston-brown

WKBW Buffalo's Joe Buscaglia believes Bills MLB Preston Brown could be available for trade.
Since being drafted No. 73 overall in 2014, Brown has appeared in all 48 games, making 46 starts. He was ex-coach Rex Ryan's signal-caller as a 3-4 inside linebacker, and Ryan long praised Brown, saying he believed Brown was "going to be a star." Well, Brown has never really been a playmaker, with just one career sack, three picks, and two forced fumbles. With new coach Sean McDermott shifting to a 4-3 and Reggie Ragland expected to be the middle linebacker, Brown doesn't have a starting spot. He has one year left on his rookie deal. Mar 29 - 2:17 PM

North Korea threatens WAR with the US after Senator John McCain called despot Kim Jong-un a ‘crazy fat kid’
Cheese obssessed Kim appears to have been badly hurt by fat shaming remarks
By Patrick Knox

NORTH Korea is threatening all out war with the US after a top US senator dubbed their leader Kim Jong-un a “crazy fat kid”.

Senator John McCain made the inflammatory remarks while discussing what to do with the tubby tyrant following recent ballistic missile tests and repeated threats made to destroy the US.

In an interview on MSNBC, McCain called for action against cheese and wine loving Kim before it is too late.

He said: “China is the only one that can control Kim Jong-un, this crazy fat kid that’s running North Korea.

“They could stop North Korea’s economy in a week.

“They haven’t, because the Chinese have to understand there’s a penalty … imposed by us if they don’t reign in an individual that can literally start a world war, and more importantly, perhaps in the short term, strike the United States of America.”

The secretive state released a statement earlier this month warning Donald Trump it would reduce the US to ashes if America fires “even a single bullet” towards Pyongyang.

2016 Season Highlight Video

I was gonna make a 2016 highlight reel, but the offense fielded by Fisher was so putrid it discouraged me not to make one.
opefully the offense will be respectable this year, and I'll definitely activate my subscription to NFL Rewind just to get back into video editing.
At least YouTube doesn't just auto-ban our videos anymore. That used to piss me right the hell off. 4-5 hours of work and - BAM - flagged for copyright infringement. They do restrict people to watching them on YouTube only now (no embedding), but that's an acceptable trade-off for all the hard work.

Malik McDowell

I don't want him. He's incredibly talented but was an underachiever in college. He has admitted to freelancing and not listening to his coaches because he didn't like the role they wanted him to play. He has major effort issues and only plays when he wants to play. He's the type of player that McVay and co. have been jettisoning from this team. I'll let our coaches make their decision on whether they want to deal with a kid like that, but personally, I wouldn't hand them a knucklehead like him when they're trying to lay the foundation for a successful team, especially not with our top pick.

Rams New Look O-Line Is Reason For Hope [Cover32]

Top to bottom this is how I would rate our O linemen;
Whitworth
Havenstein
Saffold
Brown
Robinson
Wichmann
Donnal
Rhaney
Williams
Murphy
Arkin

Notes;
Guard David Arkin is a 30 year old journeyman vet who did train as a center in his first year with Dallas. Not much upside in keeping him.

Pace Murphy has ideal tackle size and has always over achieved.

The Rams were very high on OT Darrell Williams prior to his injury in '15.

C/G Rhaney is undersized and maybe more suited for a strict zone-blocking system.
