Give Me Sport, L.A. Rams season preview

Still reading my man, but "The NFC playoffs will be brutal, but if the Rams step up, they can definitely be playing for their second Super Bowl in franchise history."

Not quite. If the Rams get to the Super Bowl this year, they will be playing for their fourth Super Bowl in franchise history...Maybe you meant winning their 2nd Super Bowl in Rams history? Anyway, small point:thinking:

Rampage Radio: Jrob and J hit up last weeks game and look to Oak.

I believe that how you win games in the regular season is with offense offense offense, a little D and a good QB. One of the biggest reasons i have AZ finishing last this year is that very likely by mid season or earlier they'll be starting a rookie QB and he'll have basically two proven weapons to get the ball to. DJ and an old Fitz. Add to that an offensive line that is average at best on a good day and i just don't see an offense that can keep up and will get exploited.

Yeah, Fitz is an elder at this point but still as reliable and productive as they come. AZ's offensive line is much better than the likes of Seattle. Personally, I prefer AZ's defensive entire unit over Seattle's as well.

You make good points on the QB situation, but we do know that Bradford is deadly when healthy, and Rosen was arguably the most polished QB to come out of the Draft this year (Darnold).

Granted, the arrow is pointing up in AZ and the arrow is clearly trending down in Seattle but you have to understand that Russell Wilson can still create offense and win games in ways that AZ can't right now. Experience, big plays with his feet and arm etc...

This is where the reign ends for me. Wilson will obviously still be a major threat no matter who he plays. However, if we had to place a WAR number on Wilson, what would it be? IMO he wins you 3-4 games, but then what? Seattle did nothing to address the OL which I touched on above, and other than Bobby Wagner and potentially Earl Thomas, what does the rest of the defense look like?

Thanks for the comment and thanks for listening as well Mojo.

Happy Left-Handers Day

My buddy happens to be the nephew of Tom Seaver. (Toms sisters kid) He had the benefit of some great one-on-one with his uncle when he was a kid. He actually became one of the few pitchers that could throw ambidextrous. He pitched for Michigan back in the ‘80s but never went pro.

I guess the Dodgers have a guy now Pat Venditte that throws both ways.
Interesting. Never heard of that before.

DR RAM's Exam of Raven's Game

Good Review.

I studied the Oline on tape replay and here is what i observed:

Brian Allen was getting manhandled on several occasions.

Notebloom looked solid, very
quick on his feet.

Neary and Lucas struggled bad.

Eldrenkamp was very solid.

Williams was OK.

Bemby was very impressive both at guard and tackle.

Jamon Brown and Blythe were very solid as usual.
I thought Allen played a little better than you did, but we really saw this pretty close. Overall, I was pretty happy with what I saw, especially Noteboom, and Demby for rookies.

Rams - Raiders best seats ?

We are staying in San Francisco so maybe a better idea to just go to a bar for the game instead... do you know of any ram bars in enemy territory (or at least not openly hostile bars!)

Not familiar with any. After living up here for over 20 years I doubt there are any Ram friendly anything in that area. They can be such a hostile bunch. Out of the six major professional sports franchises here only the Oakland A's and San Jose Sharks have stable fan bases. All the others are pretty darn aggressive. Not a good place being a life long Rams/Dodgers/Lakers fan.
